I loved this hotel. It was just a short walk to Downtown Disney and the bus system was great for traveling to the parks. There was even a large Mears bus that picked us up during the busy time. That was great foresight on the hotel's planning. The price was a great value and the staff was very hospitable. I plan on staying here again in the near future! Thank you! Oh, and the terrace with a view of the Disney fireworks was a great unexpected surprise! Thank you!Comment of L. Randall , United States the 2014-10-11
Perfect place to stay if visiting Downtown Disney. Walk across the street and you are there! Free transportation to all Disney Parks. If you fly in or drive in for the Disney Vacation, no car is needed. I will stay here again!Comment of O. Paula , United States the 2014-10-03
Hotel is bueatiful and the staff very friendly. The lazy river was so relaxing and a much needed break from the busy parks. While breakfast was good there was a lack of choice compared to other Hilton hotels. We stayed on the 23rd floor and had an amazing view of Disney Springs.
Fantastic hotel, newly refurbished with fantastic pools and lazy river. Pool bar and resaurant nearly finished. Helpful staff from reception to bar to housekeeping. Easy walking distance to Disney Springs where your nightlife is taken care of. When our travel agent wrongly booked us in for 13 nights, instead of 14, despite our flight booked by them for the 15th day, hotel let us stay free of charge for the extra night. They also upgraded us twice because I wanted an upgrade as it was my husbands birthday but the room had no balcony, and they upgraded us again. Not a cheap hotel for food and drinks but eat at the Parks or Disney Springs or get a take out, or order in from the many food deliveries. Stay at the Buena Vista Palace, we would in a heartbeat.
"OK hotel, terrible service"
I was attending a conference at Disney and the Palace was one of the associated hotels. I had several customer service related problems The first happened before even arrived. For business reasons, I needed to change my stay from 6 nights to 5 nights. Although I gave suitable lead time, they would not let me make this change. Through a long process and escalation, this was eventually resolved. When I got there at noon they told me my room was unavailable. They suggested I have lunch and they would call me. I had lunch and was not called. I waited in the lobby across from their desk and waited. Finally I went to the desk and they told me my room was ready. When I asked why I wasn't called the person just shrugged. When I walked by the concierge I asked for the location of the shuttle buses to the conference. The location he told me was at the complete opposite side of hotel complex than where it actually was. Fortunately, and by chance, I found out the real location. There were smaller irritants through the week such as disposable glasses and Kleenex tissue boxes not being replenished. The rooms were plain and dated, but ok for this particular trip. Overall, would not stay here again or recommend this hotel.
"Stayed here recently while attending a conference at Disney"
Attended a conference at Disney recently and ended up spending 3 nights here. The general appearance of the hotel is clean and must have been a first class facility back in the day. As of my stay, the hotel is dated and needs a facelift. In the elevator lobby on the main floor (3rd), you could see where there were serious water stains on the ceiling. A musty odor existed in parts of the hotel, in particular a walk through the conference center. My room, nice for the most part, had a humid feel to it. The bathroom sink had what appeared to be mold stains just under the edge of the sink (above the overflow) and the toilet had similar stains in the bowl (forward part). Found both a bit disgusting. This is unfortunate, as I would normally provide a better rating.
Room was outdated and not clean. Upon arrival stand alone shower had 2 bars of used soap and used razor which were never removed, rotting food in mini fridge and soiled curtains/rug. Overlooked trash receptacles ... never refreshed coffee/tea ... maid banged on the door at 8 am... room service takes an hour
