The Burrard is more pied à terre than a pleasure hotel. It is located in a vibrant and populated area in the heart of Vancouver which boasts a large number of business opportunities. The hotel is also a very good starting point for excursions by bike down the seawall.
Very happy with the stay.Comment of P. Stephen , New Zealand the 2015-06-29
Excellent value for your dollar here. Super location as well. Clean, quiet, and tough to beat at this price.Comment of L. Todd , Canada the 2015-06-05
Very nice atmosphere and style for the hotel. No meals included but the location makes up for that. 2 minute walk to some great restaurants on Davie st. Very close to Robson for shopping. Great courtyard for relaxing with a cup of coffee. Complimentary coffee was appreciated. Clean comfortable room. Could have been soundproofed a little bit more.Comment of C. "Well kept secret"
Wow, what a fantastic place. A lovely downtown affordable property. Awesome staff, lovely cozy room but at a great price. We love the art and the quirky nature of the place, but best of all are the staff who go over and above to help. (The manager even came to our room to show us how to use the Nespresso machine - we are old Luddites!) We will definitely stay there again when in downtown Vancouver.
"Burrard Hotel is convenient and friendly"
We have stayed at the Burrard hotel a few times now. Initially, we reserved there as it was conveniently across the street from St. Paul's hospital and gave Hospital Rates, but now we have grown to like it very much due to the friendly staff and clean rooms.
"This place is awesome"
This place was so cool. Definitely beats the cookie cutter chain hotels. This place has personality. It was clean staff was friendly. I loved the coffee machine in the room. Beds were really comfy. And it was an awesome price.
"Decor makes it look higher end than it is"
My first impressions of the hotel were positive as the décor makes it look modern and fresh. I was slightly disappointed when I walked into the room though which looked a bit tired. The room was incredibly warm, and putting the air con made it smell like an elephant's turd in there so we refrained. The noise in the hotel is also quite a big problem. The first morning there were a lot of metal sounding clunking noises, it could have been because of the room position: on the second floor and nearest the lift and cleaning cupboard, but you could also hear most noises from the surrounding rooms. Not just door noises but bathroom noises too. On our second night, we arrived back after dinner and drinks after midnight but there was a group of people sat on the chairs outside talking and drinking. Not to sound too old, but it's not a hostel and so don't really think this is an appropriate place to offer people to congregate as it's basically an atrium where all the rooms face onto. Other than that, the staff seemed friendly enough, especially when they accidentally walked in on my boyfriend spread eagled on the bed (although thankfully partially clothed).
"Great Little Hotel"
A great place to stay in Vancouver. A good location, clean and comfortable. The staff were friendly and the free bikes were a great way to see the city. A very good value option for accommodation in Vancouver.
