Very nice hotel. Good location near Akasaka, Chiyoda, and Natl Diet Building Had a great view from the 19th floor. Room was spotless eachbday The shower was amazing...size, power pressure, view Room service and food in Oragmi restaurant is just ok Staff very pleasant. Great customer service. The wifi wasn't strong enough for me to stream video and they leant me a router just for me Would highly recommend
I just spent 8 nights at the Capitol Hotel Tokyu. The hotel room was great. A fantastic mixture of Western and Japanese décor. The shower was the best shower I ever experienced. The concierge (although did not have perfect English) gave incredible service and paid attention to every detail of my food desires and even called a head to the restaurant where I had reservations to tell them that I do not eat certain foods. No matter what I needed in the hotel I received it within minutes (even my own hotspot device when my laptop security system prevented me from connecting to their wifi). The Hotel is in a great location. Near great restaurants and centrally located for exploring Tokyo. In a beautiful neighborhood so very enjoyable to walk around. I will definitely come back.
"Not inexpensive, but perfect"
Stayed in a corner room with a magnificent view. Even the fantastic shower and adjacent bath had a floor to ceiling view window. I have stayed in grander hotels before, but this one tops it for attention to detail. Everything worked, everything was in place, and everything was super clean. I swam extensively in the 20-meter lap pool and could not smell any chlorine on me.
"If you can afford it, it's the best option you've got in Tokyo."
First, when you travel in Tokyo, subway is the best mode of transportation. This hotel's B2 leads directly to the subway station (Tameike-sanno) and you can get on 4 different lines. That's pretty ideal for travelers in Tokyo. Also there is a Seven Eleven right downstairs that stays open until 10pm. Very convenient. The hotel staff speaks perfect English and the hotel is really tidy. The rooms have a modern yet slight traditional design twist to it. The view looks over Hie Shrine. Very beautiful. There is also a shuttle ticket you can purchase from the hotel to the airports. My destination was to Haneda and it costs around 1,300 yen per person. The hotel does the booking/ticketing for you at the concierge. It is on the pricey side, but it is totally worth it! If you can afford it and are choosing between hotels, stay at Capitol Hotel Tokyu. You won't regret it.
the room size was the main reason we stayed. A little pricier then we would normally spend but with an infant the extra space was good. we liked the bathroom layout and fittings and the coffee machine was good too. convenient to a number of subway lines so that was handy too. restaurants attached to the hotel don't miss you. there is plenty of food options across the road from the shrine and a 7/11 in the basement as well.
