"I LOVE this hotel"
My friend and I stayed in The Capitol Hotel Tokyu for 5 nights from 11 to 16 January 2017. Having stayed there last year and were impressed by it, I'd high expectations which were all met. Before arrival, the concierge helped me to book a number of restaurants (a couple of which are usually very difficult to book because of their size and popularity). Also, they helped me to buy the train tickets to Hakone (only a very minimal 5% service charge applied). Since I stayed in a room facing the shrine last time, I for a change asked for a room on a high floor with a view of the parliament building. It's hard to say which view is better since both are nice. If you want more view of the city skyline and the Skytree, maybe you'd prefer the latter. Needless to say, the room was clean, spacious, nicely designed and appointed with all modern amenities. I won't write a lot about the bathroom but like many reviews mentioned the water pressure of the rain shower was excellent. I'd a bath one day after going to the gym and it's very relaxing. I love Tokyo and hope I can stay in The Capitol Hotel Tokyu at least once a year.
"Luxury peace heaven behind the imperial palace"
Wonderful hotel in a super location: just behind the parliament, next to Prime Minister house, view on Imperial Palace Luxury hotel. Very big rooms for Tokyo standards. Modern, peaceful and with a nice traditional Japanese touch. You could not find a better place to relax after a day in bustling Tokyo Great staff, very caring. Definitely the best in Tokyo
"Amazing hotel in the heart of Tokyo"
We were booked in for 6 nights at the Capitol Hotel Tokyu, and that was possibly one of the best hotels I've ever stayed during my trips to Tokyo (second to the Ritz Carlton). The location of the hotel was amazing as it is directly linked to not one, but two subway stations which are the "Tameike-sanno" and "Kokkai-gijido-mae" subway stations - and that made travelling around the city such a breeze with minimal hassle / changing of stations. On the room itself, it was really modern with a touch of traditional Japanese style - impressive. I was amazed by the size, the amenities as well as the cleanliness of the room. We got a standard room with an amazing view of the Tokyo Skyline (my pictures will be able to justify my statement). On top of that, every room comes with a nespresso machine 3 complimentary capsules which they replenish daily which is a major plus point for me since I'm a coffee addict. The housekeeping staff did an amazing job in keeping our room clean and tidy and the concierge staff were simply amazing and extremely helpful to say the least. Breakfast at the hotel was a tad disappointing though as we were expecting an intercontinental buffet breakfast like most other 5 star hotels, however they only serve breakfast in a separate western or Japanese restaurant and they were pretty basic in my opinion (it was a whopping 6000 yen for breakfast per person). Apart from that we really enjoyed our stay at the Capitol Tokyu and would definitely return again, maybe just not for the breakfast but to top it off it was an all round wonderful experience at the hotel - we felt really sad when we had to leave. Well done Capitol!
I stayed for 2 nights from the 3rd to the 5th of January. It was lovely. The room was clean and comfortable; staff very helpful and professional. The swimming pool was a great place to relax. We ordered room service and liked the food. We arrived early on the first day and were able to go to our room as soon as it was ready. That was lovely; I was a little tired and needed to rest. My son wanted to visit a go club nearby but he didn't speak Japanese. And as it was the New Year holiday season, most clubs were not open. Someone at the front desk (sorry we forgot his name in Japanese) called around and found one that was meeting for a go tournament the same evening; my son was able to go there and had a great time playing go and meeting a good go teacher. That made our short stay even more memorable... After checking out the next day, we left the luggage at the hotel and went for a walk in the neighbourhood. In summary, it was a great experience. Thank you to everyone for making this trip a wonderful family souvenir.
"Great room and service with excellent location"
Stayed at this hotel during our December holiday visit to Tokyo. Great family (corner) room. We found the hotel clean and good looking with an excellent location on top of 2 subway stations. We also experienced great service by hotel staff when organizing an (external) restaurant booking and help with luggage forwarding service. On the lower grounds there is a 7 eleven and a Starbucks (Starbucks is a slight walk from the hotel). One of the subway stations is a long walk away (500m) though.
