We had everything we needed: beautiful, authentic hotel with clean facilities, comfortable room and rich breakfast for good start of the day. The staff was really helpful and made our stay memorable. We will come back for sure.
Location is very good. It is near underground. It is about 5 minutes to the nearest underground. And it is take 7 minutes to go to Tower bridge. And there are many good restaurants. It is good to sleep here. Because it is very quiet in the night.
Second time this year we have booked as a leisure trip, fantastic as always, would love to get into the kitchen with chef to find out how he manages his gorgeous scrambled egg, his triple cooked chips, pork pie and onion rings. Booked again for hubby's birthday end of Jan can't wait, so close to petticoat lane, walking distance to cyrus Todiwala cafe spice nameste and easy bus route for shopping at canary wharf, all in all wouldn't stay anywhere else when visiting London.
"Excellent place to stay"
Stayed here for a one night stay whilst sight seeing and a trip to the theatre. Excellent value for money. Quiet, friendly etc. Water on arrival in foyer, cases kept until room ready, bar attached to the hotel open with great chill out areas. The rooms are a really good size for London.... don't feel cramped. Everything in the mini bar is included in your rate we were told and they even had proper, fresh milk in the rooms no UHT rubbish as is found in hotel rooms. Quiet outside at night as extra glazing on Windows. Breakfast was delicious. Excellent choices of various dishes too. If I had one minor issue (of which the hotel have no control over whatsoever ) is that the underground has a line that goes right under them and if you are a very, very light sleeper like me you can hear it at around 6 in the morning very faint.... Don't let that put you off as as this is a great hotel and away from hustle and bustle and over priced hotels of the normal places to stay in London.
The Chambelain is located at a walking distance from two underground stations and this was a must for my short stay in London. The staff was very kind and helped me in every aspect. The room was really comfortable, a perfect bed and a large and well equipped bathroom. In the room I really appreciated the espresso machine and the complimentary minibar.
