"Very Very Nice"
We just arrived from our lovely stay in The Church Palace. Very beautiful hotel with gorgeous lobby area and decoration. In the hotel, you can find a church that's why it has such a name. We stayed in room 219, was beautiful and very clean, at first, the hotel has allocated us in room 220 but we asked for a change due to internal view and the staff just in 2 sec. has solved our problem. The staff is great, the Mr. C, staff in the Circus restaurant, reception, groom, barman, housekeeping, and everyone was really very attentive and serviceable. The hotel is located close to the metro, so in 10-15 min. you can reach Vatican City. A Very quiet place without any noise and that's is great to relax and just enjoy your stay. Near the hotel, you can find cafes, restaurants, and shops. The prices in the bar are very rational, we did not have dinner at the hotel, unfortunately, can not tell anything. Breakfast was good and drinks that we ordered were good. In the rooms you can find a mobile phone which you can take with you (very smart), to have maps, information, telephone and internet. We will arrive for sure and are looking forward to meeting you again!
"Highly recommend "
Absolutely amazing hotel. At arrival, Both myself and my partner were complete awe of the stunning architecture and the grounds surrounding the building. All staff within the hotel were lovely, especially Mr.C who is a absolute credit to the hotel. I spoke to mr.c on a few occasions regarding the different attractions, pricing and travelling options and he advised us and answered every question which we had! He put us very much at ease which was lovely having just arrived at the hotel and being quite anxious and unaware of what was available to us. The hotel is in a very close proximity to shops, restaurants (including McDonald's ha) a park and also a metro station, all within a 5 minute walk which is really handy! The room which we stayed in was lovely, the beds were comfy and the room was clean with all appliances in perfect working order. Overall, I would highly recommend this hotel. I'd advise anybody on the fence about staying here to absolutely do it as you will not be disappointed. It is truly the nicest hotel I have ever had the pleasure of staying in and I will definitely be returning! (I would also just mention that when travelling to the main attractions, it would be wise to dress appropriately and to avoid showing much skin as from experience, I felt this was frowned upon by locals. There is also a dress code for Vatican City so it would be worth looking that up if you are interested in visiting!)
"Christmas in Rome 2016"
Stayed at the Church Palace for 3 days from 23 Dec 2016. It was a surprise gift for my 92 year old mother in law. She always wanted to see the Pope and what better seeing him on Christmas Day. The hotel was lovely, even though all the restuatants were not open. Mr 'C' was a god send, he arranged all my transportation, I needed to book cabs/taxis as my mother in law can not walk far. He booked a great restaurant for Christmas Eve. I cannot speak any more highly of him, I would say his is the best asset the hotel has. The staff were helpful and the two rooms were very clean, my only criticism is that another hotel without draws! I like to have draws in my room! It was a perfect hotel for what we all wanted and it made my mother in law feel very special. Thank you
There's so much character here. It's absolutely beautiful. The rooms are small but clean and comfortable with nice windows. The bathrooms are good sized. The breakfast room is huge and the food was great. Good location to the metro and walking distance to many restaurants.
"4 night break"
The Church Palace is a nice hotel set in it's own ground. It's located near a Metro which gives you access to all the major attractions whilst having somewhere away from the hustle and bustle of Central Rome to return at the end of the busy day sightseeing. The bedrooms are quite small but have all you need, could do with some updating. The reception areas are well presented with helpful staff. There is a concierge called Mr C who offers to ensure all your needs are met. Sadly he was only there for the Thursday and Friday of our stay meaning we didn't get the service promised. Fortunately in each room there is a Mr Handy mobile which is absolutely brilliant it's yours to use free of charge for the duration of your stay. Not only does it give you all the functions of a normal phone including internal and international calls free but is also loaded with useful apps for booking attractions at discount. Our stay included breakfast which was a substantial feast. We also ate in the Nero restaurant which was good quality although limited. However the jewel in the crown for this hotel is the surprise that lies within a beautiful church which is still in use on Sunday.
