"Quiet location but still in a living part of the city"
I was here for a conference that took place at Ergife Palace. I was glad I stayed in The Church Palace Hotel. It was about 15 minutes walking.About 5 minutes to the metro and to some great restaurants. Personel is very friendly. I had a small but clean and functional room. A bit noisy from the big hotel airconditioning if you open the window. East wing, uneven room number. Only Italian channels on TV. Beds are comfortable. Breakfast is OK.
"Nice on the outside"
I stayed in this hotel for three nights while in Rome with a church pilgrimage group of 26. It is very pretty on the outside and the surrounding grounds appear to be well kept. The main floor areas were well maintained. The room was just average and the food was adequate. It is a distance from many of the notable sites in Rome. The bar tender was very helpful. I was annoyed the front lobby clerks would not allow guests to use the chairs at the concierge desk while waiting to be picked up even though there was no concierge on duty.
"Good location with metro nearby."
I was moved here from the Church Village, which was awful, so this indeed felt like a palace in comparison. Smart rooms and modern contemporary decor and furnishings. There are two beautiful chapels within the hotel. Very pleasant bar and a couple of restaurants. The reception staff were particularly helpful and all staff were friendly and efficient. The most beautiful, extensive grounds to walk in makes this a very special place to stay with easy access to all the sights e.g. About 6 metro steps to the Spanish Steps. Would recommend.
"Amazing customer service"
The grounds were fantastic. It was in Rome (2 blocks from the metro station), but they have a long drive and a lot of land which put them away from the city traffic. There is a park right next to the hotel (I wouldn't go to it in the dark, it's public and sketchy). When I arrived, Expedia had cancelled my room with them (it didn't show as that in my account but did in the hotel's list), the man at the desk was very helpful and re-booked me through them at the same rate I had purchased the room through Expedia. The room we reserved was small but nice, the hotel was quiet. Everyone was friendly, it was nice, and it was close to a grocery store and the metro station so it was very easy to get to the sites we wanted to see. Breakfast was included and fantastic.
"Roman holiday, (sans Audrey)"
Very impressive exterior and gardens. Good public spaces, church impressive and unique, bar good. Free 4g handheld mobile device in each room with maps and apps very good. Breakfast good, didn't try restaurant, but looked encouraging. Bathrooms would benefit from improvement and deliveries/waste collections in early morning were intrusive on rooms that overlooked rear. Bar tender, porter (Antonio) and one lady at reception were excellent and convivial. Others could be borderline ambivalent to service. Used their transfer to airport; vehicle great, driving, well let's just say he could do a good impression of a bank robber evading cops at any cost.
