"Good Hotel on the Outskirts"
I spent 2 nights here over the easter weekend for a Rome city break and would recommend this hotel as a great choice for somewhere on the outskirts of the city but with such easy access into the centre with the Metro station a 5 minute walk from the hotel. On the main line into the city within 10 minutes! The breakfast was a good with a wide range of different food both hot and cold to choose from. We also has dinner one evening at the hotel which was so yummy!! It is slightly more than restaurants around but it is so worth it and a little treat! The rooms are perfect for your stay with everything you need, the only thing would be that the sound proofing isn't great - we heard the people in the next room so clearly it as if we were in the same room at times! All in all its a good hotel for a city break with a very luxurious visual form both inside and out.
"WANTED TO LIKE !"
Myself and my Daughter have just returned from a 4 night stay at this hotel , i really wanted to love the hotel but from the moment we checked in things started to go downhill for us . The first room we were given was with a view of the multiple large bins we asked to be moved and were then given another room , then had to wait for guy to reset the safe for us ,aircon not turned on and believe you me it gets hot in Rome even in April . There was a seminar for 2 of the days while we were there so lounge furniture etc ,was moved for stands then to add insult to injury the main Breakfast room and restaurant 'The Circus' was closed for a 40 th. Birthday party so breakfast was served outside in the cold for 2 of our mornings which was really rude of the hotel not to make us aware on check in that all these things were taking place ! if we had known about all these things taking place we maybe could have stayed some where else ! also the hotel website is very misleading about the distance to the main sites in Rome and when i was asked at reception on leaving if we had enjoyed our stay i mentioned the website and the female member of staff said that they were in the process of changing it because they knew that the distance thing was misleading . I feel our whole experience of this hotel was spoilt because we were never updated at any time about changes to hotel for seminars and Birthday party and after all we are all paying guests !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!1
The exterior and main interior settings are lovely however the rooms are very small and minimalistic. They would not allow for air con to be switched on, the toilet continuously leaked as did the shower when in use and some staff were rude. It's quite a lot of money for what you can get in comparison to other hotels, so feel this is the only aspect that let our trip down
"3 nights in Rome with a choir group"
We stayed here through Music contact international with 51 other kids and parents, so this may not reflect a normal stay. The rooms were neat, clean and to European standards, not a lot of space! The gardens and overall appearance were great, animal themed inside with nice décor. Very quiet setting which made it nice to sleep with the windows open. Breakfast was pretty standard , and overall fulfilled all our needs.
"Relaxing haven, friendly and attentive staff"
Away from the hustle and bustle of the city centre, The Church Palace provided a relaxing haven after a long and tiring day sightseeing. Situated only 5 minutes away from the Metro, it was a good base to visit all the main attractions in Rome. Our room was quite small but very comfortable, although we would have appreciated better hangars for our clothes. The cleaning service was efficient and discrete. All of the staff were friendly and attentive, however Mr C, ( the hotel concierge), deserves a special mention and thank you. His guidance and assistance was outstanding and really made a difference to our experience of Rome and its people. We have not encountered this type of service at any other hotel in Europe and the value of this personal touch should not be underestimated. Thank you. Lorraine & Keith (268)
