It is a fabulous resort with every upgrade you can hope for. We have been staying here for years....it's wonderful in every way. Shopping in the Crane Village, nice restaurant choices , a grocery store for incidentals and come cooking if you so desire. Friendly staff, beautiful ocean views from most buildings....4 or 5 pools, a beautiful beach...it is a complete package.Comment of M. Ron , United States the 2016-08-06
"Never disappointed at the Crane"
My wife and I visited the Crane for the second time Feb 9-13 and once again we were not disappointed. We arrived early and was welcomed with a very tasty Rum Punch and our room was ready early. We had a one bedroom unit on the fourth floor in building four. The view was amazing and the breeze was so comfortable we slept with the doors and windows open every night. There were no mosquitos or other insects because the resort sprays for them twice a week. The service was excellent, whether at the Carriage House pool restaurant or one of the full service restaurants. A neat little bar and grill has been added down at beach level since we were there the last time. It's also great to have a General Store on property where you can pick up some snacks and food if you want to cook or eat in your room. Overall it was a great experience and we're figuring out when we can go back again.
"Amazing 3 day getaway!"
Lovely place to stay. Sweetest staff--from Sheryll at reception, to Eyvette at the restaurant, and especially the bellman, Errol, and his father who works in one of the restaurants. Will def. be back!
"Huge resort, huge rooms.....BUT......"
First off let me say we are NOT owners, we just booked a 3 night stay here to experience the Crane after staying both on the South and West coasts on our trip to Barbados. We see that most posting here love the Crane and there are many positives to it----our one BR suite was huge, and the village is nice, the newer pool is relaxing, and even though a very big complex it was quiet. A number of items did not meet our expectations for an advertised "4-star" resort. It took calls each day to get the bare minimum of bath towels, they ran out of beach towels our 1st day, they charged us $.50 for matches for candles in the room!, the large, inviting whirlpool at the pool complex was NOT heated--very disappointing. The Crane beach looks world class in photos however when you are actually there it is generally too windy, and the surf always has RED flag warnings up due to it being on the Atlantic side. While here we read that there seems to be a Hilton Grand Vacations deal in the works which might improve some of the issues. As American visitors we hope they and all Barbados hotels add the FOX NEWS channel to the TV lists since that is now the most watched news channel in the USA. The Crane is also fairly far away from most off site restaurants such as those in St Lawrence Gap. We would likely return to that area or the Platinum Coast on the West side.
"Awesome accommodations but poor food"
Our room was like a castle! It was huge and we were able to cook and relax in our room while feeling like we were on vacation. The resort was really nice including the pools and beach access. The restaurants were overpriced and food was mediocre. We bought food and cooked and then went to dinner at Marco Polo Bar and Grill across the street.
"Returning to the Crane!"
The Crane rResort is a wonderfulplace that keeps you coming back. The apartment is superb with plenty of space, good cooking facilities and beautifully furnished. The daily maid service is an added bonus. All the staff are delightful from the top managers to the gardeners. The grounds are like a tropical paradise. The pool complex is wonderful and never crowded and the beach is just something else a beautifulplace. The Crane is an annual escape from the winter and meet up with old friends. What more can I say!
