Stayed with family in two rooms over New Years and overall enjoyed an excellent stay. While the hotel was extremely busy and took a bit longer to check in as rooms were being turned over, the front desk team always responded with a smile and kept me updated on my phone with updates. Rooms were clean and comfortable with a relaxing balcony, We enjoyed a tasty breakfast buffet and lunch at the pool. Appreciated the pool service by Adam and Lee and took advantage of a cabana which made for a fantastic afternoon. We will not hesitate to return!
Newly renovated room which was lovely and clean. Had a great view of both the intercostal and the ocean. Room temperature and furnishings were comfortable. Nice pool and lobby bar. The Spa was incredible! Definitely make time for a treatment. Do not have the brunch buffet at their cafe. While the food was delicious, it costs $35 per person - way too expensive. Otherwise, a great stay.
Top notch service. Rooms are very nice and comfortable and great bathroom amenities (shower and separate fabulous tub) make this a winner in my book! I'm local but needed a weekend away so I treated myself!! Well worth it!
"Beautiful Hotel that takes every small error seriously"
I stayed at the Diplomat during an corporate meeting in January, and was very happy with the experience. The catered food was very good, and well served (not cold or overcooked). They expertly handled more than 2000 attendees without long lines waiting for meals or snacks during breaks. One staff member even hunted down a cup of coffee for me when I was late to the break and they had already taken it down. But the MOST impressive thing happened after I got home! I filled out the survey they send every guest, with overall high marks, except for one relatively small complaint about slow service at one meal before the meeting started. I was almost immediately contacted by the Restaurant Manager (well, Asst. Manager, but he SHOULD be promoted), one Michael G., who sincerely apologized and asked for more feedback so he can train his team. I replied with more detail and he thanked me honestly and gave me some Hilton Hhonors points to thank me for my time. THAT, my friends, is what makes a great organization, top to bottom. When things go well, great, but if there is an error, it's owned, addressed, corrected, and learned from. Well done Michael and the whole team at the Diplomat!
"Avoid Diplomat until renovations completed"
I have stayed at the Diplomat 7-8 times, including other times when renovations were underway. The work being done now absolutely ruined our stay. The door to our balcony was bolted shut as there was work being done on the balconies. There was scaffolding blocking our view. One morning, my wife & I woke to construction workers looking into our room (which was on the 23rd floor) from said scaffolding. It's a beautuful property, but not with construction underway.
