We had an absolute blast staying at the Diplomat this past week. We were able to check in early and were upgraded to a corner room with an oceanfront view. Our stay was over the top wonderful, all the staff were accommodating, hospitable and truly exerts the Hilton spirit. A few team members that really stood out - Anance in housekeeping went above and beyond helping us keep tidy and making sure we had all the amenities needed in the room. Dorothy at counter point is a true hospitality professional when it comes to attending guests’ needs. She is efficient, knowledgeable, and always wears a smile on her face despite the earliest of mornings. We had a wonderful time just soaking up the Florida sun. Great resort, the grounds are kept spotless and the staff trained to be very attentive. The hotel sits right on the beach and is just footsteps away from our room. The multitude of restaurants on property each had it's own character. The variety is just unbeatable! Thank you again for helping us create lasting memories of a lifetime!
My room was a beautiful corner suite with windows all around and a great view of the ocean. We were there for a business conference, so there was a lot of interaction between 1,400 people attending the conference and the staff. The hotel staff were fantastic! We attend many conferences and had just been in Miami at the Fontainebleau two months ago. The service at the Diplomat was far superior. One Hotel staff member, Hugo Schanks, was especially helpful, courteous, and made the trip memorable.
"Nice hotel with issues"
Very nice hotel. Staff, grounds, interior, rooms, and pools are fantastic. Beach is a little small (shallow from edge to water). Very expensive food choices--even outrageous. Maybe that's who they're catering to--the $500,000+ a year set. Parking is really easy, but $30 a day to self-park.
Staying at the diplomat hotel right now and just finished our $86.20 breakfast!!! Ridiculous prices!! Not phenomenal food! At that price it should be. And why have outside chairs on balcony and pool deck with fabric chair pads!!'' It rained yesterday and even the thin chair pads are still wet today! How stupid'' There is nice outdoor furniture that doesn't require cushions' You can't sit down without getting a wet butt! Art Deco furniture in lobby and rooms that looks ok but not comfortable!! Tell the designer we would like to sit comfortably! Leaking roof all over the lobby. Paid $21 for two coffees and donuts! Not recommended unless you have infinite amounts of money to blow!!!
Really beautiful, clean rooms. We had a corner room on the 29th floor with floor to ceiling windows...beautiful view of the beach & city skyline, but so much construction going on, there were workers hanging outside working, so we had to keep our curtains closed. The construction noise was awful in our room, at the pool & on the beach. The pools are really nice with plenty of chairs in the sun or in the shade. I wouldn't recommend the beach...very narrow beach with lots of seaweed & debris. Very cluttered & crowded with chairs. A set of chairs with an umbrella is $35 for hotel guests to rent. Food was good, but really expensive. Counterpoint has friendly service & good coffee & pastries. The coffee in the rooms is not good...it's a pod system. Cocktails at the resort bars are way overpriced...like Vegas prices. We took the trolley to the Hollywood Beach Boardwalk for $1 per person. It is a 5 minute ride. While at Hollywood Beach, we rented a cabana for $36. Beautiful wide, clean beach with lots of bars & restaurants.
