"Great old fashioned hotel"
Great location & easy access to skytrain. Comfortable rooms with great air con. Lots of nearby shops and restaurants. Lots of food and beverages outlets on the lower level. Lerage shopping centre within easy access.
The hotel is near to Lumphini park, Snake Farm, Night street markets and is at MRT Silom Station. It's better if you get yourself reserved directly, third party websites or hotel will not refund in case of early checkout.
"Such a lovely resort"
Just left after a 3 night stay at the Dusit Thani. Such a wonderful resort. We enjoyed our time here immensely. Rooms were super clean and the amenities were grand. Great fitness center. Daily happy hour. A number of restaurants on site. Will never hesitate to stay here again when returning to Bangkok. Truly a gem.
"Dream Come True!"
I had visited the Dusit Thani in 1971 at 12 years old with my family, when it was brand new and stood tall, and alone on the horizon. Every trip to Thailand since 1989 I would pass the Dusit Thani and say one day I will stay there. 46 years later and news of a remodel of the whole site made me make sure I would have that stay. I wanted my experience to me most memorable. I so semi pro photographer (semi pro meaning I get good shots, have been published, but never paid). I booked the room and invited some of my special Bangkok friends over for an afternoon so I could both photoshoot around the pool, share some time and a bottle of wine in the room and have dinner in the top floor restaurant overlooking Lumpini Park. It was a perfect day that I will always remember. I am not sure if there was a promotion but I was upgraded to a suite in the main tower. I was amazed how every detail in the room was thought out, from TV channel listings, to office supplies in the desk. It was spotlessly clean, two balconies, large bathroom, walk in closet (with a scale), and a well stocked refrigerator. My friends came over and we shared a bottle of wine from the shop downstairs and then went to the pool. I am a swimmer and picky about swimming pools especially when it comes to water quality. Crystal clear water. The courtyard leading up to the pool so serene with a wonderful waterfall and Koi. After the swim we went to dinner. Kitchen 22 Lounge and Bar on the top floor with panoramic views over the city. My friend and I wanted to try almost everything on the menu, but our dates had smaller stomachs. Everything that was served was outstanding. Clam chowder, salmon and crab cake appetizers came first. Best crab cakes I have ever eaten and I have eaten them in crab cake capital Delaware. A nice side of chopped papaya with coriander was a nice touch along with the crab cakes. Main courses included a nice white fish, lobster pasta, and a tenderloin that just melted in my mouth. Everything was shared among the four of us. The staff were superb from check in to the pool man that was able to delay our dinner reservation, to cleaning and room service. The manager even met me to talk about my time as a child when I was in Bangkok. We shared some memories of a time long gone. The concierge took a photo of me out front with the door man duplicating a shot my father had taken of my sister and I. As an expat in neighboring Cambodia with frequent visits to Thailand, my stay was simply to enjoy the hotel experience and the treatment there was like walking back in time. For travelers, the hotel is conveniently located near Silom MRT and Saladaeng BTS. It is across the street from Lumpini Park, a six minute walk to Patpong Night Market, Patpong and Thaniya Entertainment areas, and if you have kids a stop at the Snake Farm is only a six minute walk away. My two night stay went so fast and I was saddened as it came to and end. Get there soon as there are plans to remodel this iconic site in June 2018, and this slice of history will be gone. The original ground breaking for the hotel, was a ground breaking for all of Bangkok. I thought that by staying here this time I had ticked the box, but it was so enjoyable, I will do it again before it changes.
"Cosy and professional"
I enjoyed the warm Thai hospitality combined with a professional focus on customer needs during myt one day stopover in Bangkok. Not a lot of time, but had a really splendid stay at the Dusit Thani hotel. Will be back here.
