Concierge were really friendly and helpful. We're able to get a early check in on the day. Location was perfect - walking distance to shops, restaurants, Rogers area etc.Comment of M. Lauren , Australia the 2015-10-24
Overall a pleasant experience. Did not dine at the hotel due to the excessive cost.Comment of N. William , Canada the 2015-09-14
This was a perfect spot for our three day Vancouver getaway. Ideally located, old-school luxurious, classic Fairmont service. The hotel was undergoing renovations during our stay, and it was very noisy at times, even from within our room. As long as you aren't spending a lot of time in your room during the day, this isn't too much of an issue -- though I wouldn't have wanted to attempt an afternoon nap. On the whole, it was great value for the price that we paid, and we would happily stay there again.Comment of J. Dawn , Canada the 2015-08-26

"High quality service and great room"
The hotel offer a high quality service. Everyone is amazing. The room is well maintained but old. The room need some renovations. The bathroom can be a lot improved. But everything is working #1. The room was pretty big.
"Comfortable Like Your Favourite Sneakers"
Our travel agent alerted us to a deal on this hotel at time of our visit. It was transit stop at end of 3 week ski trip. It is a grand old hotel & not really my kind of place that I would usually stay at. I was upgraded at check in to a room that was HUGE...too bad I was solo! What I find annoying in this day & age is that some Hotel's still expect you to pay for wifi. At the (even discounted) room rate I think it is a bit miserable. After check in (& upon departing) I did learn via another staff member this can be avoided. So here's a tip. Join the Hotel loyalty program before arriving or at check in & you will get free wifi as well as discount on room & service incidentals. The buffet breakfast available in house is substantial but a little on the pricey side. Great location & a very friendly resident dog at concierge desk. Concierge desk very helpful with dining options nearby & umbrella when it rains!
Hotel is centrally located in downtown Vancouver within walking distance of everything. Rooms have been upgraded and my room contained non working fireplace. Gym is okay but pool was under repair. I didn't try any restaurants or bars.
"Highly Recommend "
We spent one night here in their standard room. We were very pleased to find it recently remodelled and well done / upper end of the scale - see pictures. It overlooked the Art Gallery next door and was surprising quiet, almost zero traffic noise on the 7th floor (of 14). Excellent service from all staff. Parking tip: its $52 per day through the hotel which gives you in and out privileges however, if you don't plan to move the car, it's only $37 to pay at the meter.... same parking spot. We would definitely stay here again.
"Grand old hotel in heart of Vancouver "
The Fairmont is a grand hotel right in the heart of the city. I recently stayed there for a business trip. The room was very comfortable, had a very spacious closet, and a great view of the city. The architecture and style of the property are very classy, and the food and bar are top notch. Check in was a breeze and staff were very attentive to detail and you can tell that they pride themselves on service. There was a slight inconvenience and the staff more than made up for it. One tip, you will need your room key to operate the elevator. Overall great, would highly recommend.
