"Tourists in our own City"
Romantic getaway for 2, our 8th yr. anniversary. We stayed at the Fairmont Waterfront and had an excellent weekend. We were tourists in our own city. We used the bikes that the Fairmont supplies their guests and we rode the Stanley Park seawall, something we have always wanted to do!! We enjoyed the buffet breakfast and had an outstanding waitress who was extremely personable. We also were able to enjoy the onsite gym, pool and sauna. Loved it, and can hardly wait for another trip, so much more to explore!!
"The best hotel in Vancouver!"
When business brings me to Vancouver, this is my favourite place to stay. A stunning Fairmont property right on the waterfront. Fantastic accommodation and amazing staff. Located right across from the cruise ship terminal, it's always fun to check out who's in dock. Close to many great restaurants and shopping. The world renowned sea wall begins right in front of the hotel and you can walk, run or bike all the way around Stanley Park. I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Vancouver.
"Panoramic view of Vancouver from hotel room"
We enjoyed our one-week stay at Fairmont Waterfront. There was a nice panoramic view of Vancouver from our room. The World's Best Gelato for consecutive years running is located at the Fairmont Pacific Rim right beside it. We queued up for it almost daily. Conference centre is located right across the road from the hotel if any travellers are there for a conference. A great location to stay in if you are around in Vancouver.
We spent our Christmas this year at The Fairmont Waterfront and loved every minute of it. Our corner room showed beautiful views of the harbour, mountains and stanley park framed in the floor to ceiling windows. The King Size bed was very comfortable and the room service each morning was top shelf along with the gourmet breakfast. Every person working at the hotel we encountered was very friendly and always helpful. A special shout out to the concierges that provided the BMW for our shuttle ride to our special restaurant when it was pouring rain. That was unexpected and a great ride. The restaurant was way above average and the service was 100% prefect. Definitely a return trip in order.
"Terrible Guest Services"
I Had the unpleasant experience of being treated super poorly at the Fairmont Hotel Water Front in Vancouver. It was a cold evening-after the Red Hot Chili Peppers concert. I cam to my hotel and asked the only front desk attend to call me a cab. His answer was its faster if you walk to Gastown and try there. I had just come back from there with no luck, Which is why I simply made the decision to walk to the hotel and get one from there. Walking back to Gastown wasn't going to be an option as I have a torn MCL. It was bad enough walking to the hotel. Anyhow I proceeded to ask the gentleman to call me a cab. He was persistent to tell me it would be faster if I went back from where I had just come from. He explained to me very clearly he could only call one for guest of the hotel and it would take well up to an hour. Clearly he wasn't in the business of making guest happy. So I took it upon my self to call my own cab which arrived shortly after my call within 8 min. Thanks for your TERRIBLE HOSPITALITY FAIRMONT. Never make assumptions, as I was a guest of the hotel. I will never stay at the Fairmont Hotel if that's how you treat your guest who spend a lot of money to vacation with your property. NOT FOR ME THANK YOU. There are way better hotels out there with staff who do cater to their guest needs in a genuine manner. Based on what I went through tonight you won't find me staying at the Fairmont anytime soon.
