"Good value hotel"
Stayed here for four nights in November with my girlfriend. The hotel was within walking distance of all the main sights of Athens which was ideal for us. The building itself is modern and the interior nice. The rooms were a bit basic but not objectionable. Breakfast was also included and was fairly good. Overall, an excellent location to explore the city from.
"Convenient location and pleasant hotel"
Fresh Hotel is very reasonably priced and well placed for guests to be able to easily walk into central touristy areas within Athens. You are minutes away from an authentic food market and a 10 minute walk from the hubbub of the touristy centre where you can find Hadrian's Library and the Ancient Agora. The room was clean and perfectly suited for our needs. The breakfast buffet offers a wide range of selections, seemingly catered mainly to a largely north American audience. The rooftop bar offers great views of the Acropolis, with plenty of comfortable seating. I did not use the pool, but it was very popular even though it was fairly small. The hotel itself isn't located in the nicest part of Athens, it's quite a grotty locale with a pornographic cinema pretty much right next to it. However, I did not have any personal issues with the more "real" Athens but it might be something to bear in mind if you have small children.
"4 days in Athens"
My boyfriend and I stayed at Fresh hotel during our 4 day stay in Athens. The hotel is really cute with the right amenities and helpful staff. I wanted to stay here because it had a pool and the view from the rooftop looked awesome. While the view was nice at night, during the day it was a slightly bleak to look at the other properties around the area. And during that 4 day stay, we never got a chance to use the pool, although it did look really nice. When you're in Athens, especially in the downtown area, you're more likely to be doing all the touristy things than sit in your hotel. The area is not so bad, I wouldn't travel further south from the hotel since the area looked more shady. But the proximity to public transportation and the walk to the Acropolis was ideal for us. We walked to the Acropolis, the Acropolis museum, to the markets and to Place, where there are many restaurants and shops. If I were to stay in Athens again, I think I would prefer to stay in the Glifada area or closer to the beach towns than the downtown area of Athens, only because since I experienced this part of Athens, I would want to see the other areas as well.
"Great value and location!"
Although the neighborhood is a bit sketchy, Fresh Hotel is very nice oasis near the city center of Athens. The absolute icing on the cake is the rooftop bar. The pool is small, but refreshing, and the view of the Acropolis in the distance while enjoying an evening cocktail before dinenr is so romantic and lovely.
"Nice hotel "
Lovely hotel where we spent 3 nights. The top floor is the rooftop pool, bar and restaurant. Theres a lovely seating area with just a few sunbeds & loungers. Our room was small - compact - but clean & the toiletries were replenished daily which was handy. The shower was great! Food at hotel was good also. The location was okay - it's just a 10min walk into the nearest square (local flea market, can't remember it's name!). This isn't a problem but the area you walk through feels a bit 'shabby' and had I not been with my partner I'm not sure I would have felt safe walking in my own.
