I had a very lovely stay at the hotel.Comment of D. Irene , Israel the 2017-01-11
Stayed there for one night using SPG points. The staff was very polite, smooth and quick check in process. The room was very nice and clean. I visited the restaurant as well and the food is very good as well. The staff there polite and pay attention to the guest. The only thing I would suggest is upgrading the TVs. When the rooms are as modern and comfortable, these TVs look like they don't belong there. Great stay overall.
"Good Hotel but in a bad area"
When booking this hotel, I really thought I had found a bargain as its super stylish and reviews are pretty good. Whilst I agree with a lot of the reviews a couple of points I wish I had taken note of. Firstly this really is a bad area, a few steps away from the hotel we saw needles and lots of shady characters. I was with my boyfriend but if I had been with a girlfriend I would have felt very vunerable. Secondly we moved rooms twice, first time was because our view was a crumbling building and the second room wasn't much better. We then decided to pay another 80 euros a night for a larger room on the 8th floor. This was much better (apart from sewage smell from shower)but my bargain hotel then turned into not such of a bargain. Breakfast is ok, lovely freshly squeezed orange juice, fruit salad and eggs (scrambled wasn't nice) and coffee wasn't bad. View from the roof terrace was stunning, especially at night. In fact I really liked it up there and we had drinks a couple of times and staff are friendly. Overall the hotel is pretty good, just would have liked to pick it up and put it somewhere else.
"NIce hotel in a central location"
There are many hotels in the city centre of Athens and this appears to be one of the better ones. Though it is located in an apparently backward street the facilities in this hotel are fine. Small but well equipped rooms, a wonderful roof terrace/restaurant, very friendly staff. As said, the environment looks a bit decayed, especially in the evening when all shutters are closed showing the ubiquitous but abhorring graffiti. However, the area is safe and during the day the Athinas street is lively with the central market. If you wish, you can visit most attractions (Acropolis, Agora, Museums, Kerameikos) on foot. Restaurants abound near Monastiraki square but most are outright tourist traps. It pays to leave the beaten track and go to the Psyrri quarter were some new and interesting restaurants are present. Just don’t be put off by the rundown appearance of this part of the city.
"long weekend with friends"
what for a nice crew ! already at the reception, you feel really welcome, great our room was ... how should i say... the bigest, the nicest, with a big terrasse, on the 8 floor breakfest, i do not miss anything, i find all my favorit dishes. and the best, the price..... super good
What a wonderful surprise. Centrally located off of Athinas St. 5-7 minute walk from Ermou st. And Monastiraki. Wonderful staff - extremely helpful. Not pushy. Great suggestions. Stylish, minimalist room. Not a large room, but every inch is utilized - but didn't seem crowded. Great water temperature and pressure in shower. Fantastic breakfast -- can get crowded though at peak times. Zumo orange juice press for fantastic fresh juice. Great views from bar and restaurant on roof. Great drinks and food ++ Highly recommended.
