"New but in the middle of nowhere"
This hotel is located in the new development district, there are mostly office buildings nearby and the shopping mall next to it has only a cinema and a Starbucks. The rooms are really big but you have to register for facilities like gym and sauna. Its restaurant serves primarily Thai food instead of Irish dishes not for sure you would have Guinness there. Don't forget about your English three-pin adaptor, if you don't have one, you have to buy one at the counter at EUR5.
"Great Modern Spacious Room"
Visited this hotel and stayed overnight while taking in a concert at the 3 Arena. We picked this hotel due to its close proximity to the 3 Arena. We received a warm welcome from the lady at reception and the room was to a very high standard, modern, well equipped and airy. Had a good nights sleep even though the hotel was extremely busy, and was NOT disturbed by any noise throughout the night/early morning. Had to pay extra for breakfast as the breakfast wasn't include in the €180 price for the overnight. The breakfast experience was average. We weren't asked if we wanted toast with our breakfast which is normal when the tea/coffee is offered. I noticed that the bread was not covered and it had the potential to be touched by all and sundry. The rashers were a slight bit greasy which left an after effect later that morning after we had checked out. Room very good Welcome very good Breakfast at €30 for two persons was average. I have received just as good service and accommodation with a far superior breakfast while visiting other four star hotels in Dublin and paid a good bit less for same. Access to 3 Arena is this hotels selling point.
"Wedding anniversary weekend"
We travelled to Dublin by Irish Ferry and the Gibson hotel isn't too far from the port area. It is a lovely modern hotel, beautifully decorated. The staff are really friendly and helpful. Our double room was huge with a fabulous shower and the breakfast was really good. The tram runs from right outside the hotel and us very good value. It onky takes about 10 minutes into the centre of town. The 3Arena is opposite the hotel but we didnt experience any noise or dusturbance from it.
"great night out finishing in here..."
Exceptionally good place with lovely staff. I got to know mostly nights staff however when leaving the hotel I felt very satisfied. Checked in with Yoganand, looked after by Leo. The n in residents lounge served by Bart all professional and in the same time extremely friendly. Breakfast was ... busy but very tasty - thanks to Eleana and Amy. #Checked out with Ivo - lovely person. I will be back..
