"Clean, stylish.... food isn't that great"
The rooms are spacious, clean and modern. Tram (Luas) stop right out front making it easy to commute into the heart of Dublin CBD. Reception staff are very attentive and welcoming - especially during the busy St. Patrick's Day and World Cup Rugby weekend. The restaurant food and the room service food isn't that great. Service in the restaurant is slow. However the breakfast is great. Will stay again, but will eat out in future.
"All style & little substance"
It's highly unusual that I write a review "mid-stay" but on this occasion I need to. Arrived at the hotel last night and received a friendly welcome from the reception team. Room is good, modern, clean, spacious and everything you need for a couple of nights in the city. However the issue I have/had was with the bar/food. For some reason the restaurant was closed and everyone was having to eat in the bar. Not an issue in itself however when arriving I asked for a table and a menu and a good 5-10 mins later the menu arrived with "was it you who asked for the menu" from the waitress who greeted me not minutes earlier. I quickly decided what I wanted and ordered one of the noodle dishes. This arrived in minutes which I thought was highly unusual (chicken takes longer to cook than it took for the dish to arrive), and as suspected the noodles were a ball of glutenous rubber, as was the chicken. Not to mention the food was luke warm, bland and tasteless. After two mouthfuls I decided to send it back. This was met with a look of somewhere between anger and shock, not quite sure which. I then proceeded to order a safer option, the chicken focccia sandwich without chips but salad instead. This again was met with a shocked looked of "how dare you" because I ordered something that wasn't specifically written on the menu. The sandwich itself was "mwah", in fact it was overwhelmed by the amount of sundried tomatoes that were on both sides of the bread. Not great overall. So in summary, whilst the hotel itself is good, avoid the bar/food. Go out and find something decent instead.
"Excellent and stylist hotel"
Stayed here for one night while on business in Dublin, Really stylist design and great rooms. Very clean throughout. Had dinner in the DemiSemi bar and it was great. Staff were friendly and attentive. Breakfast selection was very good. Would definitely recommend. Picked this hotel specifically for it's location - some may find it a bit far from the city centre.
"Excellent stay - can't fault the hotel at all."
Stayed here for a couple of nights, and can't fault the hotel at all. Rooms were nice, clean and comfortable, breakfast was plentiful and great value, the staff were very helpful and courteous, the welcome surprise for my birthday was a nice touch. Slightly out of main city centre but Luas meant you were in the heart in 5 mins, and were not caught up in the noise and chaos of the city centre. Thoroughly recommend and will return on our next trip to Dublin.
"Nice base for a weekend in Dublin"
Very nice modern Hotel, Directly opposite the Tram stop. Good value for money considering it was St Patrick's Day and we were also there for the rugby.Sham about the result, but as usual the Irish are brilliant hosts.
