Stayed there recently for 1 night only but it was worth every minute. Despite having a marriage function in the hotel premises there was no disturbance and service was prompt. Bathrooms are beautiful. Can improve on breakfast buffet menu and quality of food. Value for money!!
"A bit sad"
Unfortunately, this hotel is in desperate need of renovation, it is very old and tired. Rooms smell mouldy, a lot of amenities dont work(rain shower and shower head both spray at same time, toilet didnt flush in first room, had to change room upon arrival after an hour manhunt for airport pickup,he was late.."hotel mistake sir"), bedsheets are old and grey, towels are old, internet is very patchy and slow, aircon didnt work properly, carpets in the room are old and dusty. There was just..constant..problems. Staff are slow and often reluctant to respond to fixing these issues(if at all). Not the qualities of a 5 star hotel, unfortunately. Its a shame, wouldve been a good hotel 10 years ago.
"Business Meetings in Delhi"
Web pictures look good but upon arrival to room had a serious re-think on the advertising as rooms are dated and in need of refurbishment. Restaurants were good with nice options. Therefore would recommend for F&B options as these were kept up to date. Wifi was not good even though it was free but manageable. Had issues with the Lifts on one side of the hotel that when trying to get down the buttons were not working on any three of them. Even asked one of the cleaning staff for assistance who agreed an issue and showed me the way to the other side of the hotel were the lifts were working. Luckily managed to get down and did complain about the lift and luckily they were fixed by the time I came back.
Very expensive hotel. Most expensive we paid in india. We though for our last night we would stay here to finish in style. Big mistake. Lobby is beautiful. It goes down hill from there. Bath was dirty. Bed sheets had hair from previous room occupiers hidden under the pillows. Room smelled of mould. Door to bathroom wouldnt close. Breakfast was horrible. Barely any options. We asked for waffles 5 times before finally got undercooked waffles. We ask for late checkout and were told it would cost an extra 5000 rupees for 3 hours extra stay!!''.when checking out they they then added 1800 rupees for an extra bed which we never had and tried to insist they gave us one which they didnt. we are just me and my wife so would never ask for or need extra bed. We asked for car to airport (6km) which they quoted 2500 rupees. Outrageous quote. When i told them so they offered a taxi for 600 rupees. Cosidering street taxi cost 70 rupees its just outrageous. Absolutely not good enough for a so called 5 star hotel. All i can say is dont stay here. The one positive was the italian restaurant called it. Its expensive (we ate pasta and pizza and cost us 3000 rupees) but absolutely delicious. Better than some of the italian we get in australia even!
"Overrated quality, stay elsewhere if possible!"
We stayed here two nights before our trip home. Whilst the lobby is impressive our room in the 2nd floor was not at all!The bath sink was bucked up and the bed sheets had blood (!) on them. The walls had mould on them and the whole wing makes was smell unebearably. We asked for a floor on the ground floor were thing were better. The bath wall had smould on them, on small surface though. When we asked for extra towels because we were not adequately provided with, the room service was unexpectedly slow! Concerning food, there was very good quality and variety of food even for people who don't eat spicy food and international breakfast. The verdict: Not value for money! Rooms need a makeover immediately!
