"It used to be perfect"
Staff is great! I absolutely hate the new water limiting shower devices totally depriving me from enjoying my morning shower. Also after 6 years with the new rooms, wear and tear becomes visible. E.g. when the water runs all over the floor because the shower door cannot be closed, the light in the coffee cupboard only comes on when the closet is opened, etc. Also would love to exchange the bulky pillows with good, flat, foldable pillows - better for the neck. And single malt disappeared from the lounge. First JW Red Label, yack, now Ballentines, not better. If not single malt, why not drop the whole thing' The Hotel has been my favorite for 6 years, but I am less happy with the new style after Jan Joris left and was replaced by Egbert - bad choices!
"Nice hotel with beautiful view"
We booked a room with free entrance to the lounge. What you pay extra is way too much for what you get. Except for that, beautiful room with outstanding view over Brussels. Very nice breakfast Very friendly people
"A Chic Minimalist Stay"
Beautiful views of Toison d'Or and the Palais de Justice. The Hotel has an amazing location, two metro stations, the best shopping district, restaurants, and markets all within walking distance. It's even only a 15 minute walk away from the Grand Place (and an even shorter walk to the Belgian Royal Palace and the museum area)! The room was chic and modern, a lovely mixture of black and white. The TV had great selections, and an option to connect your phone, there were also a few fashion books on the bookshelf, and great Nespresso coffee! Definitely coming back!
Great hotel and lovely staff. I was a bit shocked by the set up of the room. You basically don't have an actual bathroom. You have 2 doors inside the room. One for the toilet and one for the shower. The shower is an actual room which is approx 2.5x1.5 meters. The bathroom sink is physically in the bedroom. At first it feels a bit claustrophobic (specially with a double occupancy) but we quickly got over it. Stayed for 6 nights and enjoyed every bit of it. Try to get a room facing the city - that made a huge difference.
