"You Don’t Have To Die… To Go To Heaven"
We have just recently returned to Canada from our 5th trip to Bali and our 3rd stay in a row at the Bali Intercontinental Resort. The Bali Intercontinental Resort has truly become “our home away from home” (our little piece of Heaven). From the moment you arrive at the airport baggage carousel and are met by the warm and friendly Intercontinental staff you know you’ve arrived “at the right place”. Upon arrival at the resort, we’re greeted by familiar faces of the staff we’ve met in previous visits and a lei placed around our necks. We stayed 2 weeks on this stay and were “waited on hand and foot” for the entire time. The Club Lounge staff are incredible! Our bartenders made the best Manhattan’s and martinis; unparalleled Butler service and very attentive pool and beach attendants. All of these wonderful staff members make up a very unique team!!! Resort Manager Frederic Brohez, Club Intercontinental Manager Yuni Lestari and Club Assistant Manager Ni Wayan Metriyani are all at the “top of their field” when it comes to serving their guests. What a great team!! We thank you for your hospitality and generousity. As a Spire Ambassador member, we enjoyed phenomenal service and attention. And, we’re so looking forward to returning. On our check-out, several of the Club staff and management followed us upstairs from the Club Lounge, through the lobby and out to where our car was waiting to take us to the airport. Once the luggage was loaded and we were in the vehicle, the staff stood and waved goodbye to us as we drove off. We felt quite emotional and were sad to leave our “Bali family” behind… until next time, “Terima Kasih” (thank You). Dwayne & Lawrence Vancouver, Canada
"Very relaxing stay"
Lovely staff who are always ready to help and advise. Very relaxing atmosphere with large grass areas that are much cooler than concrete when you are lying around by the pool. Perfect place for sunsets and great beach
"Love the scenery"
I stayed for 2 nights. I love the newly refurbished room.. lovely! The amenities with lemon fragrance are my fav. My colleague and i have lunch at the restaurant near the pool and just a feet a way from the beach, tho it was super hot we do enjoy the scenery around the restaurant and the beach. The breakfast is various, love the granola and all kinds of nuts and dried fruits coz im on diet haha.. would definetly come back and recomend.
"A lovely stay"
We arrived in the evening and were greeted with genuine warmth and professionalism. I am an IHG member and they thanked for my loyalty. We were in a king singaraja room which was newly renovated and was wonderful. I cannot emphasise enough the wonderful service we received in every aspect of the hotel. We had happy hour drinks each evening at the sunset bar and I can highly recommend the strawberry dacquaris, we ate breakfast at both venues, met the housekeeping staff and I can say without reservation that the staff are wonderful. The new rooms look great and we used the video on demand functions to watch movies at night. Warm, friendly, professional service, great facilities and a beautiful room. Doesn't get much better than that in my opinion.
"A Rustic Resort with Modern Facilities Just Beside Jimbaran Bay"
I stayed here a few years ago to facilitate an event hosting senior bankers from Singapore. The impression I had was the hotel felt more like a vintage house than a hotel because of its al fresco style surrounded literally by gardens and pools. My room was big enough complete with walk-in closet, coffee/tea making facilities, sofa set, flatscreen TV and a terrace. It came with a bathroom with a tub and all the essential toiletries. The hotel's buffet breakfast at Al Gita Terrace was good. The restaurant also exudes classic balinese elements that are both pretty and relaxing to the senses. I loved that it is walking distance to the beach that has a row of restaurants that serve really good and affordable seafood! I stayed there a few hours each day for dinner enjoying barbecued crabs cooked using coconut husks and unlimited serving of rice. :) The only downside I remember was that the hall outside the boardrooms/function rooms, gets really smoky towards the afternoon when said restaurants along Jimbaran Bay start to open and cook, and their smoke reaches the open area of that side of the hotel. Unfortunately for us who facilitated an event, we had no choice but to stay there and feel like part of the barbecue. :( The hotel was also situated at the center of Bali so going to nearby shops and dining places came easy for me and my friend who did last minute city tour before our flight.
