"Marvellous Melbourne Hotel"
Our extended family of 6 stayed at the Rialto for a celebration last weekend. Our bookings were done over the phone and special needs were efficiently addressed. Check in was seamless. The rooms were elegant and well appointed, the bathrooms in particular had luxurious towels and robes and plenty of products to use. Breakfast catered for all tastes and the table service was attentive and efficient. There were plenty of spaces to relax and talk in the hotel. We went to the Market Lane Bar both before and after an evening at the theatre. All staff were excellent. The turn down service each night was always welcomed. The concierge provided us with help from taxis to information about using the trams to see the city sights. We love the Rialto, all the hotel has to offer its guests and its close proximity to the city. Thank you !
"Wonderful location and service, but pricey"
Great central location, awesome breakfast, really nice, large and tidy rooms, and wonderful service in every way. The room prices, however, are quite high indeed. So would not likely visit on a private travel.
"Classic Melbourne Hotel"
Located in Collins Street close to Docklands The Rialto is well positioned for meetings and is geared for the business traveller. Friendly and efficient staff, good food (the roonm service was quick, the food warm and fresh and the servings plentiful) and a comfortable room made my stay at The Rialto very pleasant.
"Such a lovely stay... again."
We decided, very last minute, to stay overnight with our 4 year old daughter and had such a lovely time. From the moment we arrived, we were shown the 'over and above' service standards that we have come to enjoy at InterContinental Melbourne. We had booked a King Room based on the availability at time of booking but were thrilled to be offered a Twin Room on check - in (once the gentleman in reception could see there were 3 of us). It's these personal touches that will have us returning time and time again. Our Deluxe Twin Room exceeded our expectations. It felt luxurious and cosy - really appreciated the quality of the fittings and fixtures in the room and bathroom. The shower was wonderful with 2 options of either wall and ceiling spout and the water pressure was great. The beds were very comfortable. Included in our rate was buffet breakfast - good selection, lots of seating, lovely staff. Another lovely stay, we will see you again in the future.
We attended high tea in the Alluvial Restaurant today and could not fault the food or service. I suffer from coeliac disease and had numerous questions regarding the food and beverage, which Aditya was more than willing to answer. We had a tiny hiccup purchasing a gift voucher which Cate attended to in a most professional and friendly manner. We have previously had high tea at the Burj Al Arab in Dubai and The Ritz In London where the service was excellent, but the service at the Intercontinental Melbourne was second to none. A wonderful atmosphere and the best service ever provided by these two people. Would highly recommend this most wonderful experience.
