This was the perfect trip! I arrived feeling stressed and over tired! The staff at the Islands look after every need! Humphrey is knowledge and caring, Adorable is the perfect bar man and Brighton humoured me when all I caught was grass. The perfect weekend of rest and relaxation. The room was comfortable and well appointed with a view of the passing Zambezi. If anything I was over fed and over pampered. The spa although small is adequate for this lodge. I will be back.
"The ultimate luxury and tranquility..."
Set on a series of small idyllic islands in that prince of African rivers The Zambezi, are seven luxurious lodges each perfectly designed to fill your heart and mind with the peace and tranquillity of this hidden paradise. But the wows don't stop there. Your unique experience includes romantic river cruises, nature walks and my personal favourite.. sundowners on an island of sugar white sand listening to the hippos saying goodnight! Expertly prepared food and staff so friendly and so experienced at making you feel amazing make The Islands of Siankaba a unique experience. If you need to detox just stand on your own balcony looking over the river, breath in and breath out and let Siankaba do the rest! Thank you to Ryan, Eunice, Sydney and the rest of the amazing team for making our experience so special.
We spent a stunning long weekend at the lodge. The staff were very friendly and efficient! The food was great and the views even better! The real gem are the people who seem to genuinly like entertaining the guests.
"Beautiful Islands of Siankaba. "
What a great experience! The accomodation and venue is just stunning. The staff are each and everyone so friendly and very professional at their respective tasks. Great food! Lovely birdlife! We will definitely visit again. Thank you to everyone at Siankaba.
"What a place."
Bit of a cliche perhaps but this place has something unique about it. Its not so much a hotel stay as an experience. Getting to it via the boat ride on the Zambezi (boatmen are brilliant at their job), up the steps from the little dock to the hotel central area and from the central area to your suite/cabin via the rope bridge all adds to the unique feel. The staff were top class and helpful on every aspect of our stay, the food is delicious, very much so in fact. Its a really beautiful place, make sure you take the sun downer trip on the Zambei in the evenings its incredible, if you are of a romantic nature you may well overload and just weep, if you aren't you will become just a little!! Its luxurious, in unique surroundings (dramatic even), with great staff, good food and top class accommodation. It is on the river so bring plenty of Deet for the mosquitoes, the room will be fine with a lovely old style net covered four poster but for eating al fresco you need the repellent, Great place.
