What can I say about this hotel apart from our stay was pure bliss. From the moment we arrived to the moment we left we were treated as VIPs and made to feel very special and at home. The hotel is beautiful with amazing grounds. The swimming pools are brilliant and the beach is just wonderful. We were upgraded to a suite and it was about the size of my flat! The views were lovely from the room over the pool and gardens. Breakfast buffets are impressive with a very good selection. In fact all the food we ate there was delicious. I've stayed in a few Starwood hotels in the past for work but this one really impressed. I can't recommend The Laguna Hotel enough. It was so sad leaving to come home, we had a wonderful time. Thank you so very much!
"Love the Laguna!"
My husband and I stayed at The Laguna in the beautiful enclave of Nusa Dua. This hotel was the only remaining five star resort that we have not stayed in along the very private and immaculate beachfront properties located on the beachside strip. This really was a case of saving the "best till last". Treat yourself to a Starwood Member Room. A quick sign up in the Reception gives you access to nextdoor's "Westin" in Nusa Dua, as well as hotels around the world and the luxury aspects that these world-class establishments offer for next to nothing. This hotel and its staff take a memorable holiday to unforgettable one. Free clothes press, butler service (don't be put off thinking he'll be loitering around...all it means is that 24/7 you just pick up the phone and request your free tea, coffee etc and it is delivered promptly, piping hot and ready to refresh.) Any requirements you might have...once again just pick up the phone. Nothing is too much trouble. The rooms are large, airy and immaculately clean, with wonderful views of the lagoons. My husband and I spent the entire week swimming, reading and residing on one of the beautiful seaside thatched cabanas that front the beach for a mere extra $20 a day...we ordered lunch every day on one, at a very reasonable $16 each, delivered by the beautifully mannered and friendly waiters who arrive out of nowhere, having anticipated your need for a coffee, lunch or cold drink. In fact you can spend the whole day and evening reclining and eating and lapping up the delights of the Bay a mere 15 foot in front of you, under the twinkling stars, and the flames of the Resort. It's heavenly. If you can drag yourself away from the Laguna, there are five star resorts either side, reached by a flamelit cobbled walkway, open only to hotel guests of the five or so hotels that are located in this area. So security isn't an issue. The walkway is full of eateries, on and off the beach. There are no sports bars just chilled out music and wonderful culinary experiences until the sun comes up the next day, and the pools, lagoons and beach beckon again. Couldn't recommend this hotel enough. There's enough luxury at the Laguna to please anyone. Happy Days!
"Great resort for families"
We stayed here over the Christmas 2016 period for 6 days 5 nights with a 14 month toddler in toll. We requested for a baby cot to be set up before our arrival at night (>10pm) so baby could settle in after bath and not have to wait for them to bring the cot in. We also got a hotel pick-up, do note that the driver is holding dual signage for St Regis and The Laguna; we missed the sign until he flipped it over. The car ride with slight traffic from Denpasar airport into Nusa Dua was about 30mins. Upon arrival, there was a special spiced welcome drink (nice n refreshing!) and a towel to freshen up. Check-in was done effortlessly on the iPad by the staff on duty. We were then brought to our suite (we secured a suite upgrade during booking). It was a traditional spacious suite on level 4 with partial pool facing. There was a modest dining space once you enter the room. The living, bedroom and ensuite bathroom was huge! There was an outdoor balcony linked from living room to bedroom. We kept it locked most of the time for child safety reasons; but there is a table and 2 chairs on the balcony, perfect for the parents to enjoy some quiet coffee/tea time while the baby is napping and listen to the sounds of the waterfall and birds. The entire suite is big enough for our curious walking toddler to explore and be merry. However, we were not fans of the stairs and slippery bathroom marble floor though! Our toddler kept wanting to climb the stairs and it kept us very busy. After swimming one day, and while I was preparing the bath, she slipped and fell on the marble floor but thank goodness it wasnt a hard fall. The floor in the (separate) shower is super slippery as well, we nearly slip on our first use, so do be careful! The luxurious Kind sized bed is comfortable and we slept soundly through the night. One feedback though was that while we were tucked and kept warm under our thick quilt cover; we had to periodically wake up to on/off the aircon and placed bath towel on our freezing baby. We tried leaving only the aircon in the living room on and kept the doors open but it got too hot. Seems like the aircon in the bedroom is much colder than the one outside. We used the glasses for drinks one day and found the dirty glasses back in the drawer that evening and the Hotel Manager never got back to us on the bad feedback for our survey done. The lagoon pool (sand first then gradually salt water) was great for our late morning swims and the trees around help shade us from the hot sun. We enjoyed our swims with our toddler. Breakfast was quite a fair spread of variety, hot cooked food (indonesian style, eggs n sausages, egg station, miso soup, fried noodles, 2 choices of dim sum, indian dish), cold cuts, sushi, bread n pastries, fresh fruits, desserts, fresh juices/smoothies. The squirrels roam around the premises and are not shy of humans. They actually come up to you, probably thinking you have food for them. There are turkeys roaming near the breakfast restaurant as well. The Indian Ocean is just 5 minutes walk away from our room, but we found the sand very hot and coarse to walk on, so we didnt stick around for long. Overall, a good stay for families and would recommend the suite for parents with young children, so u can chill and watch tv without waking them after they have gone to bed at night.
Wonderful place, well organized so that you do not feel the people around you. They serve delicious breakfast with the biggest option of fruit and fruit juice. Would like to come back. Although January is a wet season we were lucky with the weather.
"I will recommend to everyone"
I have been there with my wife and my son for a week during the New Year's Eve holidays 2016-2017. The accommodation conditions, as well as restaurants, pools and all other facilities are at the highest standards. It is a perfect location in the Bali's paradise.
