"Nice and Clean with flexible checkout arrangements"
A nice and cozy place for a nice rest. The indoor pool is relatively small for lap swim but good for relaxation. Room is clean and spacious with good quality of bathroom accessories provided. Overall a very nice place with reasonable price. Convenient location, 5mins walk from Grand Lisboa and in proximity to town centre where you can enjoy walk and food.
Arrived around late afternoon from the Macau Ferry outer terminal from Hong Kong and the hotel do have a pick up bus from the terminal. Just stand less than 5 minutes for me to check in with a helpfull and friendly staff. Inside the room is fantastic with plenty of space for the kid to run around. In the room they provide a small tablet which we can use during our stay which contains things to do and GPS map to walk around Macau. The hotel provide free welcome drinks in the fridge for 2 Coke, 2 San Miguel beer and 2 bottles of water. The only thing I found a bit funny was we have to take lift from the lobby to level 6 and then change to east tower or west tower to our room. And we tried to check on the Pharaoh Casino on level 3 but need to make a member card with our passport ID just in order to walk in and we skipped that part. In term of chill out at night to drink we thought the hotel provide a lounge, but turned out The Cave is only a Karaoke room and not a place where we can hang out and drink. Overall excellent stay.
"OK but it could do better"
The hotel is conveniently located in what can sometimes be a difficult city to navigate, with its confusing one-way street design. Like the vast majority of larger hotels in Macau, it is in a casino - or the casino is in it - whichever way you want to look at it. Gaming, of course, takes precedence so you need to look for the Pharaoh Palace Casino. Also, like most larger hotels, it does run a convenient shuttle service from the Hong Kong-Macau Ferry terminal. Despite it's supposedly international appearance, gaming in Macau is really set-up for Chinese customers so finding staff with reasonable English skills is sometimes challenging. Check-in here was the same though, in the end, it was reasonably straight forward once two staff members became involved. The room was clean, quiet and typically gaudy. It seemed smaller than advertised but in the end I determined that this was the case because of an unnecessarily large bathroom. But it was comfortable. The "free mini bar" consisted of two cans of beer and two cans of coke. The in-room menu was extremely limited with no western dining options (outside of breakfast). It is the little things that make a hotel stand out from the others and this hotel doesn't have that. Poor quality bathroom amenities and every towel had holes or tears in them. This hotel was comfortable and reasonably priced in Macau terms but I would not rate it as a Five Star.
During my stay, I felt safe with the level of security and access to the bedroom. Bedroom was spacious and fully equipped with excellent amenities. Handy device also provided to all hotel guests and we can freely browse and make phone call with the device. Suggestion for improvement: - Weak wifi signal in the 18th floor - Carpet in corridor a bit smelly - Shuttle service starts a bit late, around 10 am. It would be great if it could operates earlier.
