"Location Average & Lack of Things to do"
The Hotel facilities sounded good when we booked . However after booking a deluxe room we were given a standard room. The Hotel obliged by allowing us the upgrade. All the Hotel literature was primarily in Chinese & no efforts had been made to highlight to other guests how you found local sights and types of transport etc. There was a shuttle bus which connected at the Ferry Terminal with buses going to the various casinos. There was a hop on hop off bus however this was limited on stops around the city. Even though the staff were helpful it was difficult to plan daily events. It was clear that the primary purpose of the Hotel was to attract regional gamblers or perhaps visitors for convention/festival/sporting events. Smoking is an issue with smoking allowed in various public areas. We will not returnt o Macau on another visit.
Very nice hotel. Good location. Excellent value for money. Luxurious n very very spacious rooms. Clean, very comfortable, staff is very well orientated. Good outlets, good breakfast n food. Shuttle bus is available. Had a great time . Highly recommend it.
"A safe bet"
What I liked: + free shuttle to/from ferry terminal + close enough to the historical part of Macau to walk there rather then taking a taxi + opulently decorated room, albeit maybe on the small side + large marble and gold bathroom + since the aircon was not warming the room (it never does..),they gave us an electric heater, that was really appreciated! + minibar (beer, coke and water) is included in the room rate + finally some black out curtains that live up to their name! + the hotel provides guests with Handy, a smartphone that you can take with you as you are visiting the town. it has free internet connection and free phone calls to Macau, Hong Kong and some other cities nearby What I didn't like: - our room had a strange smell, almost of mothballs. It was very strong on entering the room, then would go away as you'd get used to it - the hotel concierge is nearly non-existent. We could barely get hold of a city map, and no information was offered on the main points of interest in town and whether a hop on hop off bus was available in town, or some other sort of public transport
it was my second visit. The hotel is getting old but the staff did provided a clear and big room for my family. Bed and room size are fine, location is OK. TV channels are lot of selection. They did provide extra duvet and slippers for my children as I requested before. If staff are good in details, they should provided more towels for my family but its OK. Beside the ageing facilities at the bathroom, every things are fine. I could come again for the big room. Little suggestion : Carpet is dirty, my kid feet become 'grey". NO plates and not cutlery at the room, need to call the operator.
"My stay Nov. 26-Dec3, 2016"
First disappointment - having booked over 75 rooms through my Hong Kong tour operator and being promised non-smoking rooms, the 2 rooms I got for myself and family were smoking. Floor said non-smoking floor but entire 15th floor on our side smelled tobacco. Had to continuously use the machine in my room to take the smoke away during entire stay. 2nd - two of their staff would SMOKE while cleaning the room - guests were 2 children and one adult who saw them smoking. Reported to front desk - a real absurd for a hotel that is supposed to be 5* and a supposedly "non-smoking" room 3rd - elevator always had guests who would smoke in the corridor or elevator - no control. Breakfast is average - comparable to a 4* hotel in China.
