"Great service and location"
The Travel Agent and Hotel had a misunderstanding which delayed our check in by 10 mins. Henry the Manager upgraded us, sorted a complimentary car back to the airport and loaned us a Mifi device. Fab service. Hotel is lovely. Location is great. Get breakfast in any deal as it's vg. Recommended.
"Very comfortable environment"
After a two week tour of the mainland, the Hotel provided a welcoming, restful and comfortable environment to recharge our batteries. Close to ferries and amenities so easy to explore Hong Kong and return to a warm, welcoming and hospitable hotel.
It was the perfect stop over between Europe and Australia, and helped end our trip smothly. Everything is top quality. Staff was welcoming and accommodating and service was amazing. Loved staying at Langham.
"R and R after Shanghai and Shenzhen wow amazing "
From the moment you walk in to the hotel it's wow and when you get to the rooms they are amazing. I was on the 5th floor and I think these were upgraded rooms as I had 8 customers with me. From the toiletries in the bathroom to the comfort of the bed it was amazing. The staff couldn't have been more helpful and the breakfast was great too. The only downside was the price of drinks like 6 GBP for a small Coke light or 12 GBP for a small glass of wine was a little pricey but it comes with such a nice grand hotel. I would stay here again at a drop of a hat and so would all my colleagues who also had customers here.
I stayed here for a few nights at the end of August. I arrived in the early hours of the morning, around 5:30am since my flight touched down earlier than expected from JFK. There wasn't much staff around but that's expected since it's the overnight shift. Upon walking in, the lobby is grand, luxurious and welcoming. I checked in with Charlie and she was very sweet, courteous and accommodating. She helped facilitate having a room ready for us, even though we were very early. When our room was ready, Jonathan escorted us up, gave us a tour of the room and explained everything. I was pleasantly surprised because this is the first time this has ever happened! It was also a nice touch that they gave me a pink rose upon check in. The room is large for what you normally get in Hong Kong. The bathroom was humongous too, with both a bath and shower. Though there was no view (we were facing Peking Road and there's just another building in front of us), there was still ample sunlight. Room was clean and quiet - better than expected! The gym was well equipped. They actually had barbells which is rare anywhere outside of the gym! They also had a Smith machine, cables, dumbbells, cardio machines, and a few other machines. The outdoor pool is nice, clean and gets pretty deep. I believe about 6 feet' There are lounge chairs and little nooks where you can sit and hang out. They also have a mini hot tub but it's lukewarm and seems like there is no chlorine added. I had breakfast in their lobby restaurant twice during my stay. There's a good selection of breakfast items - and you can either order a la carte or have the buffet. Buffet is quite expensive - around $45 but it seemed like there was a nice selection. I only ordered a la carte and the food was good, but I didn't feel like it was worth the value, especially since there are tons of places in the area for breakfast that is less than $15 for 2 people. Our breakfast was ~$45 each time but we were paying for the convenience and setting. On the evening before checking out, Concierge left a voicemail. When we returned the call, they thanked us for staying at the Langham and that they hoped we enjoyed our stay. Seriously 5 star service! Only downside - it's a bit far from the MTR. It's about a 10 minute walk through the subway to get to the actual train and other more local restaurants. However, there are shopping malls, a market and restaurants within the direct vicinity (Harbor City, Silvercord Center, etc.) but price points vary incredibly (more expensive). Consequently, location isn't that big of a deal since you get more space. Hence, the perfect 5 star for The Langham TST.
