"Been staying most weeks May-Sept'2016- 5 star "
5 Star hotel in every sense of the word. Staff ent from concierge, check-in to housekeeping and restaurant/ waiters. Rooms are a touch old style, but still offer mod cons....( if only they had Fox Sport 4 and 5.. for international sport like F1 .. they'd be perfect :-)). One of best breakfast restaurants in Melbourne and I've stayed at pretty much all. No complaints- highly recommended- great location on Southbank.
"Another wonderful stay"
We have just spent 3 nights at The Langham Melbourne. This is our favourite Melbourne hotel. On arrival Sumati, the Service Stylist, welcomed and greeted us by name. This hotel really values their guests - the staff are genuinely friendly and welcoming. We were fortunate to receive an upgrade to a high floor corner room with fabulous Yarra River and City Views. The rooms are well appointed, the beds amazingly comfortable. Bathroom amenities are always replenished, towels are thick and fluffy. Unfortunately we had family commitments so didn't get the opportunity this time to eat in the restaurants although we did have in-room dining one evening. No complaints whatsoever; delivered very shortly after ordering and hot. Definitely 5 star service always.
"It is all you expect and deserve"
Booked the Club King Room. Services did not disappoint. Booking in was easy, asked for same floor for the second room booked for my brother and they accommodated, in fact next door room. Club room was well appointed, excellent service for drinks, canapés, breakfast. All the staff greeted you, from housekeeping to well all. Friendly hotel. Lovely touches in the room, "Alice in Wonderland" soft cover book to read, stationery, bathroom toiletries, night turn down service, valet parking. Sure, some may say this is pricey but the value is definitely there. Lots of luxury touches too numorous to mention. Would stay again.
"Simply fantastic, we loved it!"
I loved this hotel and so did my wife (most important!). It is ideally located on the Southbank with easy access to everything you might want or need. The staff were friendly and very helpful and the room was beautifully appointed. It was a fantastic way to end our stay in Melbourne and when we next return, we will definitely stay at the Langham again.
"Concerns raised and awaiting response"
I had booked and pre-paid a room for 4 nights. I had made two separate telephones calls to the Langham reservations team to affirm my booking and make further requests aligned to my booking. I had also taken up the Langham's high tea service and made a booking during our stay. There were changes made to my prepaid booking reservation. The Langham Hotel Reservation team did not advise me of any such cancellation changes. The Hotel's reservations manager had supplied an apology in regards to this error. However, this was initiated only after I lodged a complaint via email post my stay at the Melbourne Langham Hotel. I arrived at the Langham Hotel after flying/traveling interstate with my partner only to find my booking was no longer valid. I must add this was on the Victorian public (AFL) holiday weekend.
