"Love it but would prefer to go November when beach is fully open"
This is our third visit to the Leela, and as a luxury hotel it is faultless. The staff are charming, numerous, caring and efficient providing the highest level of comfort and service. We like being on the beach and visiting the beach shacks, and for this reason I would not go another time until the beach was fully open after the beginning of November. The setting of the hotel is beautiful amidst wonderful gardens, lawns, and river and pools complete with water lilies. The rooms are extremely comfortable with luxurious Egyptian cotton sheets and pillow menu. Breakfast is a feast of the best of everything. My only criticism is that Wifi is not included and charge at approx £10 per day, which given that most of Indian restaurants and hotels offer it free seems rather penny pinching.
Visited this lovely resort in March for a short break. It's huge and well maintained property with beautiful beach. They have golf buggies which can drop you were you need. Airport pick-up service very smooth, when we landed 2 guys were already waiting with us with cold drinking water. Great breakfast with choice of Indian as well as continental food. One day we asked for aloo puri and the very next day we had it for breakfast. Rooms are very comfortable, especially the lagoon rooms with balconies. Room service very good. Hope to be back one day...
This review is long overdue, however I wanted to say what a beautiful place this is to stay- from the minute you arrive you are treated like royalty and myself and my family could not of been looked after any better. The hotel rooms are absolutely stunning and we loved our en-sute which was pure luxury- in fact, since returning from our trip, my husband -who is a developer has recreated this bathroom in a property he has built-we have been told that it s one of the best ensuite's that anyone has ever seen, so thanks to Leala for the idea. Whilst we were out there my husband celebrated his birthday, he was treated to a bottle of sparkling wine and had a cake made and delivered to the room - the staff really did look after us. The food was suberb and everyone is well catered for. We were delighted to recieve a gift off the hotel manager, as whilst we were on holiday my husband saved a young child's life- unfortunately at the time there was no lifegaurd- however this may of changed now- as a token of thanks he was presented with a set of beautiful place mats, which are still in use. We would not hesiate to go back to the hotel and beleive it to be the best place to stay in Goa- Im only sorry its took me so long to write this review.
"Jamaavar made our Evening "
We entered jamaavar on 20th late night at 10.28 the staff was very accommodative to consider us in before 2 min of their shutting time We had an amazing meal with lovely food and excellent attentive service even at their clising time with 2 of them standing only for us Jenco was very patient and was so helpful and smiling he made our evening a big thank you to him The only hitch was the hotel was relatively empty but when we asked for rate to stay on 21st we were offered rate more than make my trip rate We asked for benefit of booking directly with them but were denied Direct customer should be getting some previlege of booking rate than the make my trip which is 3rd party website and involves commission for the hotel plus I had walked in the property one day before and ready to advance pay but no benefit
