"superb !"

I have stayed at most 5 star luxury hotels in mumbai near the international airport.If you want to be closest to North Mumbai or the airport then this is the best hotel from every point of view, the food, services, rooms and choice of restaurants and the quality is incomparable with other 4 star luxury hotels in this part of Mumbai. Having saint that, if I had my way, I would head to South mumbai and prefer the distance from the airport then to stay in this ugly part of Mumbai !

"Excellent hospitality"

stayed recently in the property for a day. The place is nice and gives a feeling of warmth. The staff is most helpful and courteous. Rooms are very comfortable with excellent sleep quality. Breakfast had variety and the preparations were delicious.

"Good Stay but did not honor the request"

I stayed in leela mumbai with my wife and family. I booked pool view room with high floor but was provided small room on first floor 115 with bad view. Check in was very slow but resturant was good and the property is in good condition.

"Outstanding service and customer orientation"

I've been staying at Leela Mumbai during business trips to Mumbai for the last several years but haven't written a review till now. Let me start with those aspects of the hotel that I've experienced all along. It is very conveniently located for me as it is close to the airport (esp after the new flyover) and close to the Mumbai office of my company. As part of the corporate package that my company gets, the hotel's BMW airport transfers are extremely convenient, comfortable and an absolute WOW. The negotiated room tariff is excellent VFM. The breakfast spread is at par with the best 5-stars. The rooms are very comfortable and conveniently located with easy and quick access to elevators, restaurants, lobby. The service is consistently polite, efficient and smiling across all departments. The check-in and check-out processes are quick and efficient. One slight negative is a limited choice of channels for in-room TV, esp. compared to what we normally get in satellite TV service in Indian households. Also, the wi-fi is paid and not complimentary. It's high time that star hotels start moving to complimentary wi-fi. The cost of providing that service are way way below what the guests are charged. This anomaly needs to end and not just in Leela. Now I want to come to the reason I'm writing this review after so many visits. During my last trip, I had forgotten my Samsung Galaxy Tab in my room and had checked out. I had reached the airport and had completed my security check after collecting my boarding pass before I realised that I had forgotten my tab. That's when the hotel staff contacted me through email, SMS and phone call to inform me that they had found it in my room. And this they did before I told them about the loss. As I was already inside the security-cleared area, I couldn't come out. So, on my request, the hotel dispatched a chauffeur with my tab to the airport. Leela had a guest services representative in Mumbai airport (name Sandeep Darekar), who collected the tab from the chauffeur and handed it over to me after persuading the CISF security personnel. And all this was done within 22 minutes from the first call informing me about the tab being found, in time before my flight's departure. This was simply outstanding customer service, way beyond what normal processes would require them to do. I am overwhelmed at the experience. I cannot think of any other hotel to stay in if I'm on a business trip to Mumbai.
