Wow what a horrible experience with the check in process... originally a third girlfriend was joining us for our India trip.. her uncle passed away and thus we had no need for a the larger room we had originally booked. So we emailed the hotel to change into a smaller room considering the circumstances. Two desk workers, Mobin and another incompetent worker could not make the switch over from the larger room to the smaller room and charged us for two rooms...we showed them the email notifying them of the death in the family.. also I would like to mention that we were here for a medical conference with a large group of physicians ... they could not be ruder or more unhelpful. I give a big pass on the horrible hotel !

"An overpriced airport hotel."
First impressions are very positive as the hotel is very close to the airport and when you enter it is very well presented. We needed somewhere close to the terminal as we had a two long flights the following day and having stayed at the Leela in Southern Goa for the previous 7 days we thought this would be of a similar standard. How wrong can you be. It is basically a conference hotel for business people who are on company expenses. The bars and restaurants are extremely expensive and once again the Leela group want you to pay for WiFi. After much argument, they relented and gave it to us on a complimentary basis. Management, please get a grip as it should be free to every guest particularly at the rates you are charging. As an example of how over priced the hotel is, in Goa the Leela charge you 275 Rs plus tax for a miniature gin from the mini bar in your room, which is not unreasonable at about £4.35 , however the Leela in Mumbai they want to charge you 895 Rs plus tax (about £14.00) for the very same miniature bottle. Needless to say we will not be staying here again.
We stayed at the Leela, Mumbai for a special 10th wedding anniversary visit. The hotel is first class; the facilities are clean and well-appointed, restaurants and spa offer a wide range of choice and are good value for money. The highlight though is their exemplary staff. They were warm, welcoming, friendly and very helpful. I would recommend this hotel wholeheartedly.
