"Exquisite from the moment you enter..."
This is a stunning hotel with a lot of Indian opulence but at the same time is very modern and connected. When you entered you are greeted with a traditional Indian welcome - I'll say no more. The lobby is fabulous, check-in was taken care of in a very personal and relaxed manner. The room was great - good size, nice bed, huge TV and numerous bottles of water. Big bath with TV also. I would recommend to try out the Indian restaurant on the ground floor - was delicious. Sadly breakfast was disappointing - both in the restaurant and in-room dining. However the hotel itself and the service of the staff were more than enough to rate this 5 stars.
"Luxury in Delhi "
This was my fourth stay at the Leela Palace in Delhi. Each time I am in awe of the beautifully appointed rooms and lobby. If you are a solo lady traveler the Kamal package is an excellent deal; airport transfers, wifi, spa discounts, female butler. I have also stayed at the Royal Club level. The private dining and private lounge for the Royal Club was excellent, but I missed options that are in the Cube for the complementary breakfast. Overall if you are looking for a luxurious, safe, and beautiful hotel look no further than the Leela Palace.
"Superb hotel in central New Delhi"
This is a top tier hotel in the heart of New Delhi. Exquisitely decorated inside and very good service from all levels of staff. The breakfast spread is diverse and the hot chocolate served at the lobby is delicious!
This is an excellent place to stay in luxury when visiting the city of Delhi. Several restaurants to chose from one with open air access overlooking Delhi. The infinity pool was superb and and being located on the roof it gave amazing views of the city. Hidden behind lush gardens this place is tranquil and beautiful. The rooms are very well appointed and the standard of the finishes in line with its name, Palace! Service was excellent and staff were all first class! Would recommend this place to anyone!
"A beautiful hotel, lacking personality"
We chose this hotel for a touch of luxury midway through our tour of India. The hotel is undeniably beautiful and opulent, with everything visibly grand, large doors, large flower displays full of large flowers. The beauty of the public areas continued into our room (grand deluxe) which was very well appointed, with a comfortable bed, floor to ceiling windows with a view towards the city and a fabulous bathroom. The highlight of the room was the huge bathtub where I could stretch out, relax and watch football on the TV at the head of the bath. One downside was that the drench head shower didn't work, but we didn't have time to notify anyone of this as we discovered it on the morning of an early check out. The heated rooftop pool was a welcome addition to the relaxation after a hectic time touring. We had cocktails at the bar which were very well made with knowleable staff and also had dinner in the international restaurant which was delicious. I did however have a couple of points of disappointment given the reputation of the hotel and the cost incurred for the stay: 1. The young man allocated to us to check in and show us around our room couldn't answer even basic questions on the hotel services, it often took several attempts at asking before he finally said I don't know the answer to that, no attempt at trying to find out, ask a colleague, phone a friend. This is perhaps forgivable for one out of the ordinary question, but this happened for a number of questions before I finally gave up. I'd have expected a greater level of training for what is the first contact point at the hotel. 2. There was no free wifi in my package. This was the only time I encountered this throughout my tour (and anywhere on my travels in some time). In 2017, in Delhi's premium hotel this should be standard right' 3. The staff appear to be trained for the business traveller and lack some of the charm and warmth we found throughout the country.
