"Relaxing Sunday afternoon tea"
6 of us we went to the Leonard hotel with a groupon deal on sunday the 15th of January at 5pm for afternoon tea and wow it was worth it. We actually arrived early but the staff were very accommodating and asked if we'd like to eat when we arrived.at 4.45pm. There was a wide selection of teas to choose from and for the non tea lover beautiful filter coffee. Then came out the selection of cakes and sandwiches - ranging from cucumber, salmon, ham and egg & cress (suited to all people if you're a bit fussy like me) each were fresh and well presented. We had 4 finger sized sandwiches each, two squares of carrot cake and chocolate cake and 2 miniature scones (which were warm from the oven on arrival) each with fresh cream and jam. The staff were polite and reassuringly asked if everything was ok and if you need anything frequently. Cant recommend here enough, superb service, wonderful staff and fantastic food.

"A unique hotel!"
This is a beautiful place to stay when in London. The room was big and lovely. Breakfast was served in an amazing room which was like from another era.The hotel's location is really central, it's very close to Bond Street.
"Superb afternoon tea"
I came here with my mum for afternoon tea one Sunday afternoon and we both thought it was superb. When we arrived we were shown to our table and asked what teas we would like straight away. There were roses on the tables and they were set out nicely. The decor was a bit to be desired but it gives it that old Victorian feel. Service was a little slow but I could not fault the hotel in general. I would come back here and have recommended it to friends. I said that it was one of the best places I have been to for afternoon tea.
We had afternoon tea in very cosy and pleasant surroundings. The staff were friendly. The sandwiches and cakes were average although the scones were tasty. The only disappointment was that teabags were used and the tea itself was weak as the pot only contained one teabag. If loose leaf tea was served this would greatly improve the afternoon tea experience, however, these days many five star hotels choose to use teabags instead of loose leaf tea and I don't know why this is the case. The Leonard Hotel is a really pleasant place to have afternoon tea and if loose leaf tea was served it would make a difference to the afternoon tea experience.
