"Location is great"
It's a good hotel with many facilities and just 200metres from Fira market. Rooms are also good. We had sunset view room. But it was on ground floor so didn't njy much. The only drawback of this hotel was they didn't provide free pickup from port as we had booked the hotel via travel agent. Also, we had early morning check out and they did not serve a proper breakfast on that morning.
"10 day break"
10 day break in October to get some Sun. Really lovely staff, especially Eleni, great buffet breakfast with home made crepes and waffles plus cereals, yoghurt, cooked food, fruit and lots of cakes. We had a masionette room which gave us extra space, views of both sides of the island and dual sleeping areas - useful as my wife claims I snore...... The pool area is lovely and the whole place is spotless. We ate here once and the food was good and reasonably priced for Santorini. The island is unusually expensive for Greece due to the large number of cruise ships and wealthy tourists coming here, so expect to pay €10 for a G&T, €6 for a beer and €20+ for a bottle of wine. The hotel is standard price for the island and the night barman is great fun. We would come here again, and the short walk to town means that you have the benefit of the nightlife without the crowds and late night noise.
Hotel - attentive friendly staff, buffet breakfast poolside snacks and bar all available with a restaurant opening at 8pm all serving excellent and varied food. Hotel public areas always clean though the main pool was cold in mid October so the heated pool was used. Santorini - beautiful and not too busy in October even when the cruise ships are in. Got to mention the cable cars up/down to the Old Port at €10 euro return each person a very expensive way to look at a few tavernas and boats close up obviously a tax for the cruise ship clientele ... Alternative is to travel by mule/donkey at the same price and it's questionable ethics or walk ....travelling down is relatively easy though you need to dodge the donkeys and their poo....never tried walking up but wouldn't recommend the climb Boat trip was alright though it was obvious the organisers did not want any of the tour to swim in the hot springs.. though the volcano climb and sunset were enjoyable. Took public bus to red beach and akrotiri and could have visited Santo Wines on the way which was an enjoyable and interesting day out and only €4 return ...cheaper than the cable car Overall an enjoyable holiday with nice hotel, food and drink with no crowds and beautiful weather and views
"Average Hotel Visit - Good Dinner Restaurant"
We had mixed feelings on this hotel and this is due to the room temperature issues we had and the beds that were much too firm. We reported to the front desk that the temperature could not be adjusted properly. We were either too warm or too cold during our entire stay. They also mentioned that you should not drink the water but use bottled water, which was available from a store within a short walk from the hotel. Otherwise, the hotel was very nice and quiet since it was a short distance from the town. They offered a breakfast buffet with a number of choices. The exterior areas of the hotel, including the pool, was stunningly beautiful. There are two floors, but no lifts, however, the staff does assist with luggage. It was approximately a 15-20 minute walk to the city center (Fira) and the funicular to the Old Port from the hotel. However, the walk was along a busy road most of the way. This may be difficult for individuals with mobility issues and families with strollers. They did offer a round-trip shuttle to Oia in the evening for 12 Euro to view the sunset. You can also walk to the city center and then ride a local bus, which is much cheaper but they are packed so don’t count on a seat. There are several restaurants in the area of the hotel if you do not want to walk. Also, the restaurant at the hotel had a very good selection for dinner. We ate here on our last night since we were on a tour for most of the day. We sat outside by the pool and it was very nice.
"Family friendly hotel"
We stayed here for a week and had a very comfortable stay with our 1 year old boy. They provided a travel cot and baby chair for meals. 3 swimming pools of which 1 is heated. Had a spacious room with a view of sunset.
