"HEAVEN ON EARTH! HOTTEST HOTEL IN BERLIN!"
I have stayed at several 4 and 5 star properties in Berlin and this is BY FAR my Favorite. I LOVED IT. We stayed in the Penthouse suite *upgraded upon arrival* and it was jaw-dropping. (THANK YOU TO OUR HOSTS and HOTEL STAFF!) The food and service also amazing! The bathtub - amazing! The whole place was gorgeous. They have a beautiful spa, amazing restaurants and the location is unbelievable. Thank you, thank you, thank you to the hotel for upgrading us - we loved the place and will be back.
"Perfect stay in Berlin"
The Grand Suite was very good value for money and points to the quiet inner court, so you can enjoy a good sleep even with windows opened (and switched off air conditioning - perfect!). Also, the beds are really comfy!
"A really nice hotel in a great neighborhood"
Stayed several nights while on business in Berlin. The hotel is located half-way between the Berlin Philharmonic Symphony Hall and Potsdamer Platz - a five minute walk in either direction - and directly across the street from the ultra-trendy Sony Center full of shops and restaurants. My last visit to Berlin was in 1994 when this area was still "in recovery" from the fall of the Berlin Wall. Today it's a vibrant neighborhood, well connected to the rest of the city, and with a stirring monument to the border that once divided Europe. The staff was extremely friendly and helpful, the room was spacious and well appointed (with a desk and well laid-out working space) and breakfast was varied and generous, including made-to-order omelettes. The train station at Potsdamer Platz not only connects you to the U-Bahn system, but to the regional train system as well. And it was only a 15-minute walk to sights like Checkpoint Charlie and the Brandenburg Gate. And... the price was excellent as compared to some of the mainline American hotels in the neighborhood. I hope to make it back to Berlin sooner than the last time, and I can't imagine a reason to stay anyplace else.
Lovely hotel in great central location for sightseeing - and delicious breakfast ! only reasons for loss of star on sleep quality is that the duvet was smaller than the size of the bed and the room was a little hot (opening the window was quite noisy as we faced the street). otherwise a great few days at the Mandala - we'd go back
"Great place to stay"
Outstanding staff, very helpful and accommodating. Arrived early to store luggage and we were surprised that the room was available. Location is directly across from the Sony Center, providing multiple lunch/dinner options.
