"Appalling reservation officers, tiny room and thin walls."
Definitely not a 4-star hotel... more like a 2-star (max) B&B. Had some issues with third party payment (as booked via a travel agent) so had to personally speak to reservation desk on a number of ocassions before arrival just to ensure I could check in without any problems. Reservation officers are generally not helpful and unfriendly - on one specific ocassion, I spoke with Monika S****a and she was outright rude on the phone; she was unwillng to listen to my issues, interrupted while I was still talking and has no customer service or hospitality skills whatsoever. Had the same feedback from the travel agent about her. The issue was finally resolved (just about) after numerous calls with the hotel between the travel agent and I, but it took over a week. Phone service was poor - there were numerous ocassions when the calls were not picked up, and once I was put on hold for more than 5 mins. The room was tiny and so was the bathroom. There was no space on/near the sink to put toilettries and hot water in the shower took ages to get hot. I had room service dinner and specifically requested for the tray to be removed after leaving it outside the door. This wasn't done soon enough and I was awaken in the middle of the night by the noise of cutlery and dishes clinking when the tray was removed (not sure at what hours). The walls and floors are so thin I could hear guests above and outside my room walking around. It is understandable some hotel rooms are not quite sound-proof so you may still hear noice outside the door but to hear people upstairs walking around is simply bad. My dinner was quite tasty (had a beef burger which I believe was from the hotel opposite that's part of the chain) but the eggs benedict I had for breakfast had overcooked poached eggs. On the positive side, the members of staff at the hotel were helpful and friendly. Gail and Christian (I think that's his name) were great to help me check in and out respectively. Christian was very apologetic upon hearing the problems I had with the reservation (particularly with Monika). Location of the hotel is great too. I would never return to the hotel (or any of the chains) and would not recommend it to anyone else.

Me and my fiancée came to visit in London and choose this hotel without knowing it's so great!!! The room was amazing, very clean. We get a mobile phone with free internet and local calls that help us a lot. The staff were very good. There are very nice people's, all the time smiling and do the best for us. The location was perfect, it's take a 3 minutes by walk to the get oxford street. In 14.3 my fiancée celebrated hers birthday, and the team of the hotel do her a very kindly surprise!!!! We recommend this hotel and we go back there in the next time for sure!!!!
What a nice hotel, just great pure 5 star. The reception staff and duty manager (female) are 10 star friendly, helpful .... Lovely greating. Great door staff. Outstandingly clean. Customer service at its best. Comfortable bar an restaurant. Have a junior suite, complementary mobile phone to use, international calls too. Highly recommended !!!!!!
Presently staying for a short trip to London; the hotel is in a fantastic location just off Oxford Street, and the staff make the stay a truly 5 star experience! Really enjoyed this visit better than the last, speaks volumes for an establishment where competition is not in short demand, this hotel is well worth a visit even if you don't stay here come and experience the bar and restaurant. Would I recommend: Definitely and without hesitation, the rooms are clean modern and spacious, nothing is to much trouble for any of the staff, always on hand and attentive! Just need an excuse to come and visit again.
"Terribly disappointed "
I stayed here with 2 other colleagues and I had the worst experience. Upon arrival my reservation was cancelled 30 minutes before arrival without a call. So then they gave me the worst room. On the end with 2 nights I had 3 different rooms. Service at front desk and restaurant is unfriendly. Rooms are small, bed is small, only a double. Considering I stayed at another Montcalm 3 weeks prior, I would have thought a better experience this time. Would not recommend this properly or chain.
