"Good value for money"
I definitely recommend "The Met". The room was comfortable, clean, and looked pretty new. Breakfast was great and the staff as well. There is an art gallery on the basement floor and an outdoor swimming pool. The hotel is centrally located (close to Connaught Place), but the nearby streets are not very friendly to walk around, so I recommend ordering a taxi when going out. There are 3 restaurants to choose from, but they are relatively pricey when compared to other options in Delhi. All in all, it was good value for money.
My sister and I chose to stay here on our first trip to India. We could not be more pleased. The staff was very hospitable, the free breakfast had a wide variety of choices and was delicious, the hotel was modern and clean, and it is in a good location. The only things I would mention would be that staying on the back side of the hotel it was a bit noisy in the mornings but not bad at all and also we had an issue with the WiFi but the staff fixed it right away. I would stay here again, highly recommend!
Great hotel, minutes from Connaught place and Metro. Pool, Spa and Gym are well equipped and serviced, rooms are very comfortable, breakfast could be improved with a wider variety of food choices. The other restaurants in the hotel are good value.
"Secure and comfortable but customer service and cleanliness need some serious upgrades"
Positives - location, high security standards, comfortable beds and quiet hallways. Negatives - 1. Unhelpful staff at the front desk. Don't ask them to change larger bills for you - even if your taxi is waiting to be paid and don't ask them questions period. 2. Rude staff in the restaurant. Bashir (I think he might have been the restaurant manager) was wonderful and gracious but if he wasn't working service went downhill steeply and quickly. Specifically, my husband and I had been out all day and looked forward to an early evening meal, we asked for 2 kingfisher beers. One beer and one glass were delivered to the table, so we asked for another glass - this was the beginning of a downward spiral where bad service and misogeny were the day's specials, I won't bore you with details but make sure to check your bill so you aren't overcharged. 3. The room was not clean, the bathroom 'hose' appeared to be caked with fecal matter. The room felt like it needed a good deep cleaning, I didn't want to look at anything too closely. This hotel set me up with some very low expectations for both Indian hospitality and the comfort of our stay. Luckily, this was just one stop on our trip. From there we went south to Kerala where people were kind, hospitable, and welcoming and our room was clean, airy, and spacious - a far cry from our experience at The Met.
"Comfortable affordable stay"
Great place to stay for the money. We booked this place to stay at while taking a tour to Dehli. The room was very comfortable and quiet. Although the area around it was not the best for entertainment we had an nice stay.
