"Could be Better"
This was our 2nd time staying that The Muse Hotel. It has a great location, close to the theater district.. The room had a nice king bed, and the amenities were also good, However, the toilet would not flush until we called for a repair. The check-out time is noon (a nice feature), but at 8:30 AM, housekeeping knocked on our door. When we said that we were still in the room, they left, only to return an hour later. We explained that we would be staying until noon, so they went away, but 45 minutes later, there was another knock on the door, asking if they could clean our room. Finally. 45 minutes after that, housekeeping knocked for a fourth time. Needless to say, this detracted from a restful morning and from our overall experience. The Muse is a nice hotel, but with all they have to work with, they could have done better.
Stayed here for 5 nights during our city trip. It is a great hotel, with an awesome location. We had a room on the 7th floor facing the inner yard, which was a bit noisy but not that big of a problem. We had a great checkin and checkout. The only thing that wasn't so cool was the fact they blocked some money for the deposit on my credit card and released it only a week after the ckeckout. I have never experienced this anywhere else, but maybe this just how things work in the US. Besides this, the happy hour with complementary wine was a nice touch. I would defently choose this hotel chain again.
"Great small hotel near (but not too close) Times Square."
This was a great small hotel with great rooms and service. There is an attached restaurant/bar which we only briefly used. Wine hour nightly (but alas we were never there because we were eating/Broadwaying). Would stay here again - We stayed in a roomy Executive Suite.
"Classic Kimpton charm is in full-effect in this perfectly-placed Times Square property"
After a derailed Amtrak train left my arrival in New York severely delayed and my nerves deeply frazzled, it was up to the check-in attendant at the Muse Hotel to turn the day around. She was excellent and did not disappoint, setting the tone for a weekend getaway in which the Muse played the part of sanctuary and respite in the whirl of excitement and chaos that is Times Square. Set slightly off the main drag, its location is in close proximity to all the mayhem, but nestled into a side street that made all the difference. The aforementioned front desk attendant was a friendly reminder of the Kimpton trademark: impeccable customer service. Their other trademark, comfort, would be found in a spacious room, where a number of windows allowed in a surprising amount of light (which could be cut out completely with light-blocking shades as needed). Aim for an upper floor if you enjoy the brightness. The bathroom is elegantly subdued in pleasant tones of gray and white, and the shower is the perfect blend of style and substance, with a hand-held shower attachment and a rainfall showerhead for the best of both worlds. With exquisite bath products by Atelier Bloem, and a trademark zebra bathrobe that puts the fun in function, this Kimpton property knows how to pamper with pizzazz. With all that New York has to offer, most of us don’t make a hotel room the point of a visit, but you could do that with a handsome space like this.
"Kimpton Muse is a good choice for NYC business travel "
Really enjoyed my first stay here. I used to stay at the Waldorf on business and have been looking for a new option since I'm in NYC on a regular basis. The staff here is incredibly friendly, and there's free wine at happy hour. Room size is good for NYC, and location is generally convenient. I liked it much more than the W and will go back to the Kimpton Muse if it's convenient to where I need to be in the city. I also had tocheck out a day early and the staff was quick to waive the cancellation policy.
