"Still a lovely choice"
We have stayed here when it was the Phuket yacht club. The hotel itself is still terrific. The restaurant food is lovely, and the rooms more than adequate. We did have a thermostat issue with the air conditioning wanting to go back to 26 degrees, so we woke in a lather of sweat a few times,& given my husband wasn't well, this really was annoying. We purchased drinks from the local shop just outside the hotel & we had to remove some of the bottles from the refrigerator to fit our drinks in & suddenly it was as though the refrigerator was running a lot warmer, so make of that what you will! Otherwise, I would have to say the service was excellent. Special mention goes to Naam in the restaurant who was very attentive. The pool is shallow with a step down that quite a few people hurt themselves on while we were there, and the fact that there is only the one pool where screaming, or loud kids invade your thoughts whilst you're trying to relax could be considered a little too invasive. The restaurants outside of the hotel have really lost their quality when it comes to the local food-it seems they've all become the same, and have westernised their flavours, losing their Thai authenticity. The Thai food is fantastic in the hotel & not too expensive, so we didn't bother with the outside restaurants once we realised we were consistently disappointed.
"Great Hotel "
Amazing Hotel with excellent service. The staff is worried 24/7 to make your stay as confortable as possible. I would definitely recommend this hotel. The location of the hotel is very quite an has a really nice beach so it's the perfect place to relax and enjoy.
"Fantastic relaxing trip, just what we wanted"
Room - Room was great, was not big but big enough. The bed was spectacular to say the least, so was the linen and pillows, was like sleeping on a cloud. Food - Room service quality was the best I've ever eaten, they even setup the meal for your like you were eating in a restaurant. Breakfast buffet was just amazing, food was great and we ate too much of it. Dinner food was also superb, we had the roast lamb night which was mind blowing, the cold buffet as well as the mains were 1st class. Our main waitress name was AU, she was very professional and very funny and friendly, what a pleasure to deal with! Spa - The Spa was ok, it was very overpriced and if we didn't have vouchers, there's no way you wouldn't drive down the road and save 90% for the same service. Front Desk - Very helpful and nice to deal with Concierge - Very friendly and always there to help Pool - was not as big as other hotels but we found ourselves there a lot and was a great place to relax (I'm NOT one to lay by pools but found myself there an loving it). Wifi - was not bad, had to reconnect quite a bit but was good enough to watch netflix. We had some issues with power and lighting in our room but front desk managed to change our room and offered us free dinner in apology, this was handled very well buy the manager. Other - We used snorkel and stand-up paddle board, they were great.
"Perfection in every way"
I have been to this Hotel 14 times - it is the best location, the best beach in the world, the best people, the best food. It has recently been upgraded and has new owners and it is even bigger & better in every way. There is no way any one can be disappointed with this place.
"The Ultimate Chill"
From the moment we arrived to the moment we left after 9 blissful nights the opulence ruled. This is a resort that five star is somewhat of an understatement, from the room, the day beds, the breakfast with bakery, charcuterie, expresso's, degustation meals, a beach made in heaven, a melting pot of nationalities, the waiters and waitresses (esp Tangmo), the food at Rockpool and Cosmo, the lack of young teenagers, the uncommercialised restaurants in Nai Harn, the can do attitude and of course the seclusion of the resort, this place has it all. We've been to many exotic locations and resorts but this is right up there, a ripping getaway and chill out in every way!
