"Not worth the shuttle ride"
I stayed here because I had a few comp nights, normally I like to stay somewhere a bit more central. I won't be staying in the middle of nowhere again! The Palms is a serious let down as far as Vegas hotels go. The shuttle only runs from 11 am to 8 pm so brush up your Uber account folks unless you are an in bed by 9 type. The rooms are unimpressive and really dark. Like two dim lamps and a bathroom light for the whole place. The room was clean, so much so that the linens stunk of industrial detergent, a smell that is not conducive to a good nights sleep. The beds are lumpy and there is limited hot water (maybe half a showers worth). The staff are very cranky and unfriendly which rubs off on the clientele making for a generally miserable vibe. Also no poker room in the casino rounded out what was destined to be one of my worst Vegas stays.
"Perfectly Placed Hotel With Plenty Of Amenities"
My partner and I visited this hotel for my friends wedding and it was just great! It was our first time in Vegas so the grand scale of the hotel was overwhelming, however it had everything you could want in a hotel - multiple eateries, bars, spa, pool and even a club. It's situated about a 5-10 minute drive from the strip and Old Town so it is close enough to all of the action, however far enough to get away from the crazy if wanted. We especially liked the Ghost Bar with it's nostalgic selection of r&b / hip hop. The bedrooms were massive, with each having two double beds per room. Everything was clean and there was a good selection of food and drinks available. All in all an amazing stay with some great memories.
"If your going for a good experience - Book else where!"
Ruined what was meant to be the best trip ever! This was our choice of hotel for our wedding stay, they sold our room so on arrival we were told this and implied we were not entitled to our room because the rate had gone higher since we booked. The staff are not warm or welcoming and do not want to help let alone work there! The rooms are clean and spacious and modern. - if you get what you pay for. They ruined are excited arrival for what was meant to be a lovely 4 day stay whilst we got married. They ruined our friends shirt on the ironing service and refused to take responsibility. Breakfast in bed should provide more detail - its breakfast in bed in a bag! They didn't provide a friendly welcome with any details of the local area, free shuttle bus service, wifi etc we had to search it all our ourselves. Our friends went a few days earlier and my father called to get something nice left in our room on the wedding morning, they offered nothing extra even with payment, they looked blankly at our friends asking for suggestions. On exit we were again not welcomed by friendly staff, we were not asked if we enjoyed our stay. I have traveled the world and stayed in 4 and 5* hotels regularly, this ohotel is NOT worthy of 4* and I would like to thank your awful hotel for putting a complete dampener and negative experience on our wedding trip and wedding evening. Heartless, no compassion or empathy for any of your customers. Simply lifeless, rude, insulting and lack any kind of good customer service.
"Buffet worth visiting"
Cheapest buffet we visited in Vegas but is up there with the best of them ... asked for vegan choices and staff were all thoroughly knowledgable, plus the chef offered to whip me specials up without prompting - above and beyond! Friendly servers, clean, food fresh and delicious ... not a fault, definitely be back
"Hotel outdated & inconvenient location"
Stayed here for 3 nights over the weekend with my boyfriend. The hotel room was lovely, very modern and clean, loved the bathroom! However the hotel itself was a little outdated, we did visit in december so not during the peak season however we were still disappointed. The casino itself was old, not much of great bar offerings, I would say the Ghostbar and Alize are your best options however they open at certain times. The buffet was awful, so don't waste your money there. If you are a young couple I wouldn't stay here - it appears as though The Palms have an "older" vibe. Definitely don't visit if you are single... Also during our stay, the hot water was unavailable on saturday morning for the entire tower which was very disappointing as we had strict plans and ended up having to go to a friend's house to shower (thank god we had this option otherwise we wouldn't of been able to shower). The hotel didn't even compensate us for this inconvenience. customer service was ok but thought it would be better. Location wise, ok you have a free shuttle service to the strip however location is so inconvenient, won't be staying this far away from the strip again.
