"On way to California "
For not knowing much about Vegas I found this hotel because was good deal and just on way to drive my son to California. This hotel was so nice . The room was beautiful and hotel staff always nice and pleasant. Definitely stay again !! Maybe my bday 2017 ''''
Very well maintained property. Not being on the strip is a plus, but it is close enough to all the action. The price depends on the events that are taking place in Las Vegas. Reasonably priced buffet. Good parking that is free.
"he Palms is a great place to be with a rooftop nightclub, bar, pool club, casino, and restaurants all in one place!"
The Palms hotel is located off the strip. Our room was large, modern and stylish., It had the usually amenities desk, armchair, flat screen TV, and a very comfortable king size bed that was nicely made up. We had a great view of the strip; with full wall to wall huge windows. The staff was very helpful when we checked-in, the bellman helped us up with our luggage, and they answered any questions that we had about the hotel and Las Vegas. We are not gamblers, so the Casino floor was used as a walk through to our destinations; however, it was not smoky like many casinos. Right next to the casino is a Food Court (McDonald's, Earl of Sandwich, Tacos) with cheap eats and a movie theater for additional entertainment; which I thought was so cool. The hotel also has high-end restaurant with superb food. We got free access to the Ghost Bar, which is a rooftop in/outdoor bar that overlooks the entire strip with outstanding night views. We went there on a Saturday night, the place was packed, and the music was good. My only semi-complaint is the guards would not let me into the pool area during the Friday Pool Day Party because I did not have on pool attire. Tip If you are driving self-park because the valet is extremely busy and you may have to wait before they can get to you but the self-parking is very close After a day on the strip and you want to stay in, The Palms is a great place to be with a rooftop nightclub, bar, pool club, casino, and restaurants all in one place!
"Fun at the Palms "
We go to Vegas quite a few times a year and had never stayed at the Palms. It is now a Station Casino. The price was gret so we decided to try it out. We loved our room in the Ivory tower. It had been renovated and was very comfortable. I won on most of the machines and myhusband did well at craps. The buffet was good and was affordable. We will go back.
"Not as impressive as on TV."
When you pull up to the hotel and walk through the front door it is just an average experience with not an impressive lobby and casino floor. I have been to many hotels where you walk in and go wow this is nice in Vegas. When I checked in they didn't have my King size bed available and I had to complain to a manager to be put it in a room with one. The bed is a sled bed and be careful of the corners kept hitting my shins on the corner of the bed with bruises to match. The shower was broken but I was in a rush to get to a meeting in the morning. The shower head apparatus was loose and every minute or 2 it would loosen up and shoot me in the face. Asked them to fix it in the morning at 9 AM and when I returned at 5 it still had not been fixed so I had to call and complain and then be moved to a new room. The new room was much bigger and a nicer design. The view was a little better but not as impressive as other hotels in Vegas and the windows were very dirty so you couldn't really enjoy the view any way. The casino was very small and underwhelming. One of the dealers was being rude to a guest so I stopped playing and complained to him and the casino host that when a player makes a play it is not bad. It is his choice what he wants to do with his money. There is a lot of security around the hotel so guests can feel safe. It did have lots of restaurant options including a hooters inside. Also there was a food court and sportsbook for those who like to bet a sports.
