"Good price; great location"
I stayed at the Park City Grand Plaza Kensington on my first visit to London in May 2016. I was looking specifically for a hotel in the Kensington area, and they had one of the best rates available for a nice hotel. We tried to change our reservation from a cancelable one (made many months ahead) to the non-refundable rate closer to time and had some difficulty making those arrangements. My email was not answered, so I had to call. When I called, I thought all was resolved, but the reservations were not correct when we arrived. All that to say, however, the management and staff on site were gracious in addressing our concerns and resolved the situation to our satisfaction. They clearly focus on the customer and want the stay to be pleasant. Regarding the facility itself -- it was lovely! There is a lift available if you need it inside, but there are steps to the front door. This will be an issue for most hotels of this style in this area. But the rooms were lovely and spacious by London standards. There was a bit of a step to get in and out of the bathtub, so if you have mobility issues, you should inquire ahead about accessibility in other rooms. The lobby and restaurant were gorgeous. And you absolutely cannot beat this location in South Kensington. It is an easy walk down Cromwell Rd. to the Gloucester Rd Tube Station, and there is a Sainsbury (grocery) just around the corner. While there are many other hotels on the very-busy Cromwell Rd, this one is just off the main street and feels much more quiet and residential. We had a lovely stay and recommend the hotel highly.
It was really, really nice place to stay in London:) Wonderful staff at the hotel:) Clean rooms. Good breakfast. It's really close from hotel to subway - GLOUCESTER ROAD UNDERGROUND STATION. Max ten minutes walk.
Well located for access into London Sites. Very nice rooms not a brilliant view out of window but not really what i came to do! room 309 even tho next to a lift and a cleaners room i slept like a baby in a very comfy bed. Sky Sports and Movies on the tv was also a welcome bonus!
"Good price and nice location"
Hotel is very nice inside. Reception staff very friendly and helpful. The room did look a lot bigger on the pictures however it was nicely presented with a high standard bathroom. Good location not far from the tube station. Would recommend for a stay in London, especially for £89!
"Nice hotel in a good location"
We stayed at this hotel for 5 nights in January 2017. Its an 8min walk from the Earl's Court Tube station via the Piccadilly line from Heathrow (£2.80 for the tube on a single trip but consider taking the 7day Oyster travel card for use, cheaper and value for £). Walk out of the tube and cross Earl's Court Rd. Keep left and walk into the side of the road nearest to the money changer and Greggs. Walk all the way along the road till u reach the main road (Cromwell Rd) where u will also see Cromwell Hospital. Cross the road and walk into Lexham Gardens and the hotel is on the right. There are many other hotels in this location but The Park City had the best rates at the time if booking. It has a Malaysian restaurant and the in-room menu is typically Malaysian as well. Good for a change if you're in need for some spicy food. Wwe chose the rooms without breakfast as there are many restaurants and café's nearby. Sainsbury's is just a 4min walk away. Wi-fi is good and easy to access. Reception and hotel concierge staff were good to help answer queries and as the room was ready when we arrived early, we received an early check in. Overall staff are polite, smiling and seemed genuine good people. The room we were given was a bit old (412), the wood floors in our room were creaky at certain areas near the entrance which was a bit of a nuisance. The carpets looked worn near the entrance with some watermarks but other than all this, room was spacious and generally good. It also has a big window sill and a resting area to look out of the room. The room had Sky TV on the box (good one this), Wi-fi in the room was excellent. The hotel also provides you an mobile phone for ur use in London. It can be taken along with you for location searches and even calling back home to your families without charge as it runs on data. I thought this was very convenient and something to shout about. Usual coffee and tea making facilities available and generously replenished daily, just as the complimentary toiletries. I would say this is a value for money hotel and the service quality we received was good. We had a good stay and I would recommend this hotel to other travellers. Just a tip for a good tasting and value for money breakfast. Walk towards Gloucester tube from the hotel which is abt 11mins walk from the hotel. Look for a café named La Liaison just outside the tube station and is also across the Bailey's Hotel. Cheap breakfast for eat in or on the go. Food and service are excellent, prices very affordable.
