"Chinese New Year Rooster"
20 of us in a Private Dining Area , Enjoyed traditional Malaysian Meal , the flavors & taste were beyond belief so many dishes share it was a unique dining experience . The Wine flowed freely through out the evening & then the Karaoke began ......
This hotel was wonderful in all areas! Location: First of all, the location is quite convenient. It is a short walk from the the nearest Tube station, and a grocery store is right around the corner. Plus, it is near landmarks such as the Royal Albert Hall. It is not too far from the center of London (where many of the renown landmarks are located), so the travel time through the tube isn't too long. Staff: The staff was absolutely accommodating! My family and I actually arrived around 10 a.m., which is way before the official check-in time. We decided to ask the hotel to keep our luggage at least so my family can begin sightseeing. Impressively, the front desk told us that our room was already ready, so we went into our rooms to drop off our luggage. Throughout our entire stay, the staff was patient in answering all of our questions, especially that it was our first time in London. Room (Family Suite, specifically): The rooms were very clean and modern looking. It was obvious that it was well maintained. The bathroom was quite big, and there were several drawers as well as a closet to put all our clothes. The beds were also great, and the Wifi was quite strong. Additional Details: There was a smartphone! The hotel has a free-to-use smartphone for each room. Instead of wasting our international data from our own cellphones, my family and I just used the smartphone. There are no additional charges with making calls and using the data because the smartphone is part of the room charge. Overall, my family and I were very impressed with this hotel, and it contributed to making our travel even better and more convenient (especially with the smartphone) than we anticipated.
"Great Little Gem"
This was a lovely hotel, very friendly staff and spotlessly clean. The hairdryer was brilliant the best I've ever had in a hotel. The breakfast was continental and plentiful. It was about 25 mins walk to Harrods and the underground was about 10 mins walk. Definitely will return to this hotel.
"Great short visit "
We stayed at The Park City Grand Plaza for 2 nights whilst our son auditioned for Drama school. The hotel is only 10 minutes from the Tube at Gloucester Rd. The reception area is well presented and the reception staff were courteous & helpful. We enjoyed the bar on both nights for a night cap.....the bar man was very friendly but not obtrusive, helping with drink choice & snacks. Breakfast was continental with the usual choice of fayre....bread, croissants, salad, fruit, yoghurt, hams & cheeses..all tasty & plentiful. You could pay for a hot breakfast and I must say the Malaysian choice looked very tempting! We asked for a proper bed within our room for our 18 year old son and room 311 was perfect. We slept soundly on great beds. On the check out day, reception staff kept our luggage stored safely, a great help when days are busy & the weather awful. We would definitely return. Many thanks
"Dreadful - avoid this hotel. "
We booked a two night stay via Hotels.com. 5 mins before check in we had a call that my mother had been admitted to hospital in Liverpool with heart failure and was critically ill. The staff were very sympathetic and we explained we would not check in but travelled directly to the hospital. Hotels.com were great and agreed to refund if the hotel would. The hotel management gave us the run around but eventually refused after a number of calls. We asked if they would give us another two nights in January. Again they refused. £360 write off. Crass management. Dreadful value set. Recommend never to book with people with this attitude. It really shows how they would approach any issue.
