On the whole, Parklane Hotel is a good hotel with good services and in an excellent location in Hong Kong for shopping and business with plenty of shops, MTR close to the hotel and the services at the counter are very good, especially the young lady called Cat at the Check in & Check out counter helped us a lot.Comment of W. "Highly recommended for Accor Le Club Platinum members"
The management of this hotel was taken over by Accor last year and they go out of their way to welcome Accor Le Club members, in my case Platinum. I have recently stayed twice (October 2016 and 5 nights in January 2017) and the experiences were uniformly excellent. Upgrades were available in each case to large renovated and modernised rooms and the staff in the dedicated check-in booths for Le Club members were efficient and welcoming. Access to the Executive Lounge on the 22nd floor includes cooked breakfast options and drinks for 2 hours in the evening. The lounge staff are all helpful and efficient with a good guest focus and in that respect I would single out Wing and David. I have also stayed at the Accor property Novotel in Wan Chai on the island and I would strongly recommended this Accor property over that property, particularly if you are a Platinum member. The Pullman is superior in all respects to the Novotel but they are similar prices.
"Clean and convenient "
A repeat stay at this hotel because it's just so convenient! Lots of f&b in the area or within convenient distance by cab or MTR. Had the chance to stay in a renovated room (higher rate) and it was nice. Much prefer the shower than the bath tubs than didn't have such great drainage. Communication with the hotel is efficient, be it email or with the front desk. Thank you Park Lane!
"Staff are a true asset"
I was made to feel welcome at the Park Lane Hotel from the moment that I arrived. Every member of staff that I interacted with was friendly and genuine and I felt extremely comfortable staying at the hotel. The location of the hotel is excellent. It is a two minute walk to the Causeway Bay MTR station, meaning that you do not have to take a taxi from the airport. You can take the Airport Express, and either take the MTR, or make use of the free hotel transfer service that Airport Express offers at Central Station. Playt Restaurant: - I had a-la-carte dinner on the first evening I was there and ordered the Tenderloin steak. I ordered it to be cooked medium-rare, but it came out well-done (no pink at all). I got the waiter's attention and he promptly removed it and organised a new steak to be cooked. The new steak was cooked correctly, and for the trouble the kitchen even sent me a complimentary soup to enjoy while I waited for the replacement steak! A very appreciated gesture! - By the 4th morning of my stay (having breakfast each morning), the supervisor remembered my name, which was a nice gesture and shows that the staff take notice of and remember their guests. The Room: The room was very comfortable, but I do have some (very) minor complaints about the room. - Shower over bath. While the water pressure and temperature was great, I was surprised to see a shower over bath in a 5-star hotel, especially following a refurbishment of the rooms. - I could not find anywhere in the bathroom to plug my electric shaver in. Fortunately, my shaver is wireless, but I had to charge it at the desk. - The sound of flushing toilets from the floor directly above was quite noticeable in the bathroom. Fortunately, this sound was not noticeable from the bedroom, so it did not affect sleep. - I could not find any usable power points on either side of the bed to charge my devices, and instead had to charge these at the desk. I prefer to have my smartphone within easy reach. Overall, I had a very enjoyable stay at the Park Lane Hotel, and would definitely consider returning to the hotel on my next stay in Hong Kong.
"Well renovated, convenient location, very good staff"
I frequently go to Hong Kong on business and I've tried several hotels at Central and Causeway Bay. I've stayed more often at the Park Lane recently because of the good location where it's easier to get taxis in the morning, accessible to nearby restaurants and malls, and safe even late at night due to commercial establishments around it. The newly renovated rooms are well done in a modern and tasteful style and brightly lit. The breakfast buffet is rather good, with lots of choices (I would suggest they change the menu options though so that if you're staying for a few days, you get more variety). During my last stay, I was about to nod off to sleep at midnight when I suddenly heard water pouring down from the ceiling of the bathroom. Apparently, the occupant of the room above left the bathroom faucet open so his bathtub overflowed. I called room service and in a few minutes, the facilities team was there to inspect and clean up the flooded bathroom and arrangements were made for me to transfer to another room. It was very inconvenient, but they were efficient and very apologetic about addressing the situation and I greatly appreciated that. I would love to stay at the Park Lane again and would recommend it to other business travelers.
"Well located, excellent service, good value!"
The hotel has been well renovated since days of olde and now ranks as a Pullman hotel, the flagship brand for the Accor hotel group. It is well located near shopping and food, both local noodle shops as well as higher end restaurants. Well worth the price we paid - good value!
