"Great hotel near Cannaught Place"
I traveled here in late October for a sightseeing trip. Security is on par with all other attractions in India with bags needing to be scanned. Room was clean and fully functional. We did run into two problems with our room. First was that our water drain in the showers did not work, which means a huge pool of water will collect after showering. Second was that the handle to the door of our room comes off regularly. We had called, talked in person with facilities multiple times before the issues were addressed. The location of this hotel is not exactly central to any attractions. I did not have any experience with public transportation, but a routine taxi or tuk-tuk usually takes about 20-30 minutes to the things we wanted to see. It is located very close to Cannaught Place which does have it's fair share of Western dining and shopping, but we didn't come to India for that. What we did like about our stay was the complimentary bottled water and seasonal fruits. Little things like that made our stay more welcoming and comfortable. All staff were very friendly and their English level was fine enough. If you're looking for a hotel near Cannaught Place then I would definitely recommend it. If you're more into sightseeing, then I would say look for a hotel more central to the attractions you want to see.
"Welcoming staff, but lots of maintenance issues"
On the positive side the staff in this hotel were all very nice, helpful and welcoming which counts for a lot. There seemed to be more staff than were needed really as many seemed to be not doing very much. The breakfasts were also very good with a large range of choices, and some lovely touches. On the downside, there were significant problems with the hotel mainly to do with maintenance issues. The corridor outside our room, and to a lesser extent the room itself, smelt strongly of mould and damp. There was water coming down behind the corridor walls collecting in a bucket. The bathroom smelt of sewage. The television sparked and gave a bang when I tried to switch it on which tripped the electric supply. A member of staff put the electric back on but we didn't try to use the TV again! The kettle broke but a new one was supplied quickly. The curtains were broken and would not open fully. If we had been staying for more than a couple of nights we would have asked to change room because of the smell mainly, and as we did not see any other rooms I don't know whether our experience was typical.
Stayed for One Night. Found Facilities are very good. Food also Very Good. Service is excellent. Room is spacious. Location is in the Central. Near Connaught Place. Amenities are good. Entrance Look of the Hotel needs to be upgraded. Entry Floor Tiles are rough and very difficult to pull the trolley bags.
"Great hotel for official meetings..."
I had an official meeting in this hotel last week. The hotel is promptly located near CP and is well connected via transport facilities. The food and beverage services at the hotel were at par with any star catagory hotel...
"Old is gold.. The Park rockksss!!"
Must have been to The Park after 17 odd years! The moment i stepped into the porche it brought back the old memories so fiercely! The exterior had def changed beyond my comprehension but the hospitality was intact as was two decades back! Our childhood gang had hit the place for the lunch! Buffet ofcourse was the perfect option! And the buffet spread was just awesome! The Lavishly spread salads, starters and deserts were mouth drooling! We ate to our heart's content! Great service though I thought the main menu lacked choices! Wish they wd recraft it! Biryani was par excellence! All over it was a fairly good feast! Economical and Grrt for a get together!
