"Excellent room and bed"
Spacious room with the usual luxury amenities. A bunch of different electrical outlets for travelers. No Transformer or adapters required for most phones, laptops, hair rollers etc. The bathroom could use a wider sink counter. Security us good with elevators only going to destination from outside button. No kids pushing every button to stop on every floor. My next trip will certainly see me in residence again .
"The concierge ( young and inexperienced ) almost sent me astray "
Wishing I could recall his name I asked for directions to a specific place and his answer was it's off the map! That was not an answer and he finally printed out a map but was wildly unhelpful. This is not the standard of a luxury brand hotel. I usually stay here in London and find the hotel terrific for location and service but was annoyed this time. My stay was fine but felt the concierge staff was at best polite but not truly helpful
"Nice hotel in great luxury...with service pitfalls"
We stayed here for the last 2 nights of our European trip last weekend--after stays at the Gritti Palace in Venice and the Excelsior Gallia in Milan. The Park Tower Knightsbridge suffered by comparison. That being said, the PTK location is fantastic, just a block from each from the MO Hyde Park and The Berkeley, 2 very nice London luxury hotels. We love that it's right off the Piccadilly Line (Knightsbridge stop, just a few blocks away), making transfers to/from Heathrow very easy. That being said, the hotel room decor is quite dated...and feels more like a nice Sheraton than a luxury property or equal to those last 2 SPG Luxury Collection properties. The lobby and bar are up to standard, but the room decor is not. Even though we were upgraded to an Executive Suite, the decor still felt dated...and the connecting doors were hazardous--never fully opening, causing it to be tricky to walk into the room and between the rooms at times. Otherwise, the suite was pretty spacious. The bath products left a little to be desired. Though they were Moulton branded products, the packaging was so small as to feel very cheap. The air con didn't initially work, but after 2 visits, the engineer and manager fixed it. I was very happy about that. Service was the other biggest issue which failed us for this hotel as a luxury hotel. There were problems at check in...and problems with the restaurant. A haughty restaurant manager was the biggest problem marring our stay. We liked the location...but likely would not stay here again. It is a good value...but we can do better.
"Thank You Danielle"
Nice comfortable rooms, good location but limited 2 hour free internet access in the room. What made my review a 5 star was Danielle at the front desk. She was friendly, very helpful, answered our questions and helped with a dilemna. Excellent customer service.
"Great location, but room need an update"
On a business trip stayed here for two nights. Choose the hotel due to a great location, next to underground. Staff friendly. Room needs an update, with shower some failures, like rubber strip at door to shower needs to be repaired. Bottles of water delivered both days. Whats irritates me is when a hotel don't offer free wifi. This hotel gives you free wifi IF you sign up as a SPG member. When paying more than 250GBP a night, at least you can offer free wifi, as probably every guest use their electronic devises several times a day.
