"WOW This is the top!"
My wife and I spent nine nights at the Pavilion, we wish it were ninety. We had four nights in a vast, stunning 1 bed duplex with beautiful pool and absolute privacy and jungle hillside view, and then for a little extra up graded to an ocean view villa. The ocean view villa was a very different design, larger pool and wonderful commanding west aspect for the ultimate sunsets. Very beautiful. Total privacy. Breakfast was included with a varied and original a la carte choices, including Thai and Western. Service was impeccable with golf buggies always quickly available to carry you to the 360* hill top bar, or restaurant or gym or reception etc Most days we just stayed in our accomodation. The Thai food on site is the best we have eaten. Mini bar, restaurant and bar prices were very realistic. Beautiful, mature landscaped grounds. Would we go back' In a shot! Simon Tarascon France
"Excellent adults only hideaway"
If you want peace and quiet and privacy then highly recommended. We stayed in a spa/pool pavilion and the separate totally private spa room is excellent. Spa treatments not cheap but my wife described as best ever. The 360 bar at the top of the resort provides a beautiful spot to enjoy sunsets and good selection of cocktails and tapas.
"Simply stunning Villa with pool & ocean views...."
Stunning villa with a huge pool. This place has been set up with couples in mind and a perfect place to chill and skinny dip in total privacy (well almost). We were only there for a long weekend but would definitely go back for a longer break. The restaurant was decent enough but I would recommend room service which was first class. Top marks to the spa staff who provided the best massage I have ever experienced....thank you Nit & Mint. The only downside for me was that you had to take a buggy ride everywhere due to the fact that the Pavilions sits on a steep hill side which makes walking almost impossible and definitely impossible for anybody with a walking disability. The hotel also provides a shuttle service to and from the beach.
"Best Hotel for those looking for "time off" "
This was the most amazing hotel. Closed off from the hustle and bustle in Thaliand. The grounds are perfectly maintained and the villa is absolutely breathtaking. The private pool was cleaned twice a day and there was never a leaf in it. The villa was also perfectly kept. There are lots of relaxing activities ; library etc. Hotel staff are welcoming and friendly. The only place where there is room for improvement is the food. Was very high class but selection was a bit limited. We found favorite meals and ate the same thing everyday.
Stayed here for 7 nights of our honeymoon in January 2015. In many ways it exceeded our expectations. The villa was enormous, literally three time sthe size of our two bed flat in London, and decorated really really well. Modern without losing an charm. The outdoor area was amazing, with a 14m long private pool and seperaet cabana area to cool off in. And completely private, so if you want to come home without any 'white bits' you can. Food is really good. As good as any decent restaurant we'd expect to pay much more for in London, and you can either eat in the main restaurant, or have almost the identical menus brought you your villa for private dining. You can also pay a little extra to have special menus cooked for you at the villa with a candelit setting ourside by your pool, or as we also did, have them set-up a BBQ for you to either cook yourself, or for a chef to cook for you. The wine list is huge, ranging from some decent (though heavily markedup wines - but hey this is Thailand) bottles for £20 up to hundreds of pounds. The mini bar is stocked up with beer, house wine, whisky, gin rum etc daily, and the cost is the same you would pay in a bar outside the hotel so pretty good value. This really does appear to be a place where they encourage you to spend a lot of time alone together in your villa. If you want to get out, other than teh main restaurant for breakfast (again very good) lucnh or dinner, there is also a nice bar with snacks up at the top of the resort for great sunset drinks, and a free shuttle bus throughout the day to Lanyan beach 5 mins away. The service is impeccable, and very friendly. I've stayed in a lot of very nice hotels for business over the past 15 years, and I can honeslty say that this was the nicest accommodation and best service I have had anywhere in the world. The only reason I can't give this 5 out of 5 is that the Eastlands lunch restaurant and communal pool area is not available as the hotel is currently building an estate of villas in that area. There was no noise from construction and you wouldn't know it was going on, but it was disappointing to only find out after checking in that one third of the restaurants, and the communal pool were not available. This is not mentioned either on their website, or Secret Escapes, through which we booked, and both still advertise these areas as available facilities, which is not really on. The estate is due fpr completion in summer 2015, so I doubt the full facilities will be available before then. If you really like a communal pool to sit and people watch, or are hoping to meet and chat with other couples then this could be a big issue, though I guess most people go to this kind of resort for the privacy of their villa. And if you are ok with that, then I can't think of a better place to go to.
