If you are looking for a pool villa with a country view, and at the same time having high privacy, this resort is the right choice for you. We stayed for 2 nights at a pool & spa villa (no 37) in mid-Aug..Just to cut it short…… Service: efficient & prompt Breakfast & tea time: homemade bread and cakes of high standard Housekeeping & cleanliness: excellent Privacy: high (of course, if neighbours want to see through, they can make their own way) Security: highly (there is a big gate at the entrance of the resort. 24 hr. security service.) Interior design: stylish and feels very comfortable. Functional & user friendly Pool size: not big, but enough. View: mountain view (pool & spa villa) Gardening: Good. The idea of bamboo tunnel is superior. Insect control: excellent (We didn't have a single bite inside the resort) Staff: Friendly, well trained and experienced. Toiletry: upper grade products provided We believe the management team and all staff have done a great job. We are very thankful that we stayed there. Of course, the time was too short. (P.S. there is a new high raised hotel ar the east side of the resort. It is not yet open, but it may affect the privacy of some pool & spa villas next to it in the future.)
"Not what we had hoped for"
I will start by saying that this is by no means a bad hotel, however there were a lot of little things that spoiled it for us and we expected better given the price. We had booked a package that offered us a number of extras (free airport transfers, a room upgrade, etc). When we arrived at the hotel the staff had no record of the extras and we were told that no room upgrade was available as the hotel was full (eventually this was resolved however not a great start to the holiday). We were shown to our room which right on the outer edge of the hotel next to a construction site which was so noisy we could not have relaxed in our pool - the main reason for booking the hotel. Eventually we were moved to an ocean view villa which was much nicer and gave us more peace and quiet. The villa was large, clean and modern with a lovely view from the private pool however it was certainly showing signs of age (broken blind, peeling wallpaper, faulty A/C, power cut etc) and we felt the hotel overall was in need of a renovation. The 360 bar was closed for the duration of our stay so we were unable to visit which was disappointing, however we visited the Plantation bar which was ok. The hotel is supposed to adults only which was a major factor for us, however there was a family with three small children eating breakfast next to us. On the whole the staff were good (our waiter at breakfast time was great) although English was difficult for many of them, for example we ordered breakfast in our room one morning and the order was so wrong after three attempts we gave up in the end. I could go on...... We came away from the hotel feeling as though everything had been hard work from start to finish, which is not what you expect from a luxury hotel with a £300 a night price tag. It is a shame as the hotel has such potential if it was better maintained and there was a little bit more attention to detail.
"It is a romantic hotel and nice hotel"
We stayed here just one night. The check in area feels so relax. And the staff bring us to the room to introduce the hotel and room facilities. The room is so big that including a private swimming pool, spa room, sauna room. We enjoy the sunbath and the swimming pool. At the night time, we had our own barbecue besides our own swimming pool. The food is so delicious. The service of this hotel also very good. The breakfast is all-we-can eat. We can order as much as we can from the menu. We will visit this hotel again.
Best holiday I have ever had We booked a see view villa. The location of the hotel is magical, it overlooks the lagoon area, the sunset and sunrise view was amazing. The hotel is clean, the staff is very friendly and welcoming. Everything was amazing about the hotel, since the moment of reception till the checkout time.
we arrived from Singapore to finish our vacation at the Pavillions. stayed 6 nights. Arrival: the private transfer is very nice, we just had the bad luck that we had to wait long, because our flight was with delay and the transfer didn´t wait for us. Arriving at the Hotel was ok, but not that good how I was reading in the other reviews. Had to wait again that somebody comes. After a while came the Mangager, she was really nice, but had to wait again because our room wasn´t ready. (even that we arrived with delay) They brought us to the room and it was so hot inside, because they didn´t have turn on the Ac. The room: we booked a villa with private pool and that was really amazing. really big with everything you need. the pool was the best, spend most of the time there. it was everytime cleaned and each night they brought us a small "present" Staff: some were very friendly( especially at breakfast), some not that much. we asked for a late check out and they didnt want do give it without charging half day. the last 2 days the Ac didnt work and they couldn´t fix it. They wanted to give us a diferent room, but we didn´t want, because we would be laeving soon anyway. After that the reception phoned us and told us that we can have the late check out, a compensation for the broken Ac. Strange, because before they said we have to pay, after that they will need the room for new guests arriving.... Location: far from everything. need a car or moped. they have the shuttle to the beach, but even there they forgot us twice. we had to phone to the hotel to remember them that we were waiting. the 360 Bar: liked it very much. they were very friendly and the food was better than in the other restaurant. we were lucky every night to get a place, because it was full everytime. Spa: the best massage i ever got.
