"Romantic and perfect for couples."
The Pavilions Phuket was recommended this to us by Andaman Adventures. We were looking for a romantic spot in Phuket and this resort is it. This may be a slightly smaller resort, but the quality is second to none. It unit is top notch. We booked a Pool Villa and could not be happier. We had our very own private pool and the service here is just great. I have to say, there is a slight language barrier, but they more than make up for it with their smiles and their constant eagerness to please you. Also, the food here is just fantastic. The breakfast here is second to no 5 star resort in Thailand. We even met the chef, a very very talented guy. This place is perfect for a honeymoon.
"Love is indeed in the air."
A resort that is certainly worthy of its reputation of a 'romance destination' and its tagline 'Love is in the air'. Although this memory will stay forever, I have to write this review to credit what this resort and its team deserves. Here's why: Airport transfer. - Comes standard with the AMORE package. Our flight was delayed by 1 hour and the crazy queue at the customs didn't help. The hotel staff was yet, patiently waiting and pleasant on welcome. Fresh fruits, cold towels, chilled bottled water in the car was a sign that we were off to a great start. Loved the music selections in car and every effort is made to start each journey with John Paul Young's catchy 'Love is in the Air' tune. Cars (latest Toyota Camry and Honda Accord) were clean and nicely scented. Spa & Pool Pavilion - Thoughtfully designed, well equipped and you won't be asking for any more space! The infinity edged pool was sufficiently long to be 'swim-able' and is clean. The waterfall gave it a nice elegant touch. Outdoor benches, SALA and dining areas are pleasant. Outdoor ceiling fan was useful to keep the area cool and bugs away. Living room had comfy sofas and cushions; all the information on the resort were easily available; iPod with loaded tunes were a nice touch; in-room scent and lemongrass mosquito repellent indeed calmed one down alot. Bedroom was spacious with an artful taste of thai, anglo-chinese design; bed and pillows were very comfortable. Most bathroom amenities were there with a nice walk in wardrobe. A luxury to have your own attached private in-villa massage room with steam/sauna room - something that puts it above any other resorts. Food. - Loved the daily breakfast specials on the menu. Although could do with more variety, food quality is top notch for both Plantation Clun and 360 degree bar. A decent spread of Thai and Western cuisines. Afternoon teas were wonderful and it makes you wonder why you will ever bother to have lunch after breakfast. Massage & Spa. - Delightful and pleasant staff from the team; good quality massage, body scrubs and wraps. Definitely a must try during your stay at The Pavilions. However, don't compare with the standards of Banyan Tree massages. Hotel grounds. - set on the hills, there are efficient buggies to bring you around the resort. The elevator to the villas are also interesting. Hotel grounds have nicely manicured flora and fauna and elegant, tall bamboos everywhere. Overall, the plants and trees added a nice and cooling touch to the entire area. View from the main lobby, plantation club, villas are great and the 360 bar provided a picturesque hilltop view of the Andaman sea and a guaranteed daily sunset view. Areas of improvement: - could do with better quality toiletries such as shampoo, body lotion, conditioner, toothbrush. - an added mechanism could be added to the elevator to unsure that it doesn't get stuck at any particular level should guests forget to close the elevator door after getting out. - would be great to add a greater variety of local Thai delicacies to the restaurant menus. Otherwise a perfect resort and a must have adults-only getaway to soothe your senses and replenish your tired souls. One of my bosses makes The Pavilions an annual getaway with his wife. It's not difficult to see why and on our way to the airport, I told my partner that we will make this an annual affair with The Pavilions, Phuket. Also, a big thanks to the General Manager who came to send us off! Keep up the great work. Dr Tan Wei Ming, Singapore.
"Loved every minute. A fantastic, relaxing romantic holiday!"
We wanted to celebrate our 25th anniversary and my husbands 50th in style and that's what we got! I actually bought a voucher on Groupon which I have never done before so we were a bit nervous about how we would be treated - we needn't have worried! Every single staff member is friendly, helpful and goes out of their way to make you feel welcome. We ended up upgrading ourselves to a higher villa for the last four nights which we felt was worth it for our special occasion but even the first villa we had was stunning. You just get slightly better views the higher up you go. We had no problem with the buggy system to get back to our room - always came within minutes of request. The included breakfasts were wonderful. Loved that you could choose both Asian and Western specials plus a huge buffet which had the best croissants I've had outside of France! We ate at the resort quite a few times and all of the food was top class. The tapas at the 360 bar was really good too. There is a complimentary afternoon tea as well which we thought was worth getting to quite a few times. There is a shuttle bus to the local beach and they will also drop you off along the way at some shops if you prefer. We ended up staying out one night for dinner and got a taxi back which cost less than $20 AUD. We did the cooking class which was lots of fun and really interesting. The chef was lovely and very giving of his expertise. If you are a person that needs lots of nightlife and people around you then this may not be your best choice but if you want relaxation, pampering and nothing to do other than swim in your very own private pool then this is the place. You can easily get out to other things but we loved just hanging out in our room. We didn't miss a communal pool at all, although I believe there will be one after the new villas have been built. Thanks again to all of the staff. It was our first child free holiday in 17 years and you made it worth the wait!! We can't wait to go back!
"Wonderful 4 day stay as part of our 25th anniversary trip"
After a lot of research I chose this hotel for the service and privacy of the villas. All the reviews on trip advisor that I read were so good I thought I would book this hotel and we were not disappointed. I arranged with the hotel to pick us up from the airport which was great. Cold towels, water and fruit were available in the car which was welcome touch. When we arrived at the hotel we were given a welcome drink while we checked in then quickly taken to our villa. The penthouse spa pool villa was amazing and so private. It also has its own spa and steam room. The mini bar was good and very reasonably priced which was a present surprise. The staff here were all so friendly and the service was truly 5*. Whenever you needed to go to a restaurant or reception you just phoned and by the time you had walked out of your villa a buggy was waiting to take you to your destination. Amazing service!! The breakfast was great with a good choice of food that you could order and champagne cocktails every morning. We had dinner in the plantation restaurant and 360degree bar and grill. Both were very good and service spot on. The only thing I would say is they need to be refurbished as they are getting a bit tired. We ate out one night in the village and then we asked them to order a taxi for us they said that their driver would take us in their car. What great service!!! The pool was not open due to building work but this was not a major problem to us as they had a shuttle bus to take you to the beach ( which was beautiful) and we prefer the beach. I do think the hotel should inform people of the building work going on at the time of booking as this was one of the reasons we did not go to the Banyan Tree which was our first choice for our stay in Phuket. Although I have mentioned the above point we had a wonderful stay at the Pavilions hotel and would like to thank all the staff for making our stay so perfect.
I and my partner stayed here at Spa & Pool Pavilion villa for 4 nights from 12 to 16 Feb 2015. In many ways it exceeded our expectations. On arrival at the airport, we were greeted by staff of The Pavilions and once we were in their limousine, we are treated with cold refresh towel, fresh fruits and drinking water. The property was built on a very steep hill. Once the limousine dropped us at the main lobby area and after smooth check-in, we were transferred by the buggy service to our villa. I had to point out the buggy service which always arrived quickly and the drivers happily took us wherever we wanted to go. The villa was enormous, well modern decorated. The outdoor area was amazing, with a 14m long private pool and seperate cabana area to cool off in. Completely private and perfect for lovers. There is our own spa area/room next to our bedroom which has got its own steam room as well. We had tried the inhouse massage, though the price compared with outside massage/spa parlour is bit higher but it worth. The mini bar was stocked up with beer, house wine, whisky, gin rum and the cost is the same you would pay in a bar outside the hotel so pretty good value. This really does appear to be a place where they encourage you to spend a lot of time alone together in your villa. Housekeeping is good too in which leaves the room always tidy, clean and all refreshment drinks & snacks refil everyday. The private pool in our own villa was cleaned daily and there was never a leaf in it. The villa was also perfectly kept. Food is really good. Breakfast was included with a varied and original a la carte choices, including Thai and Western. 360 degree bar with very nice great cocktails and sunset. We had our 1st dinner there and the food was great too. On 14th, the Valentine's Day, we had a special dinner and again, the food never disappointed us with romantic surroundings. It served daily afternoon tea time which we could sit comfortablely and enjoyed snacks, tea or coffee. Since the resort is built on a steep hill which does not have a beach but The Pavilions provided scheduled shuttle bus to the lovely beach nearby, just 5-10mins drive. We spent 2 days on the beach and it was lovely. There is a library and a gift shop opposite the main dining restaurant. There is choices of DVDs which you could lend from there. Moreover, there is some lovely hand-made cards/ ornament which were hand-made by villagers living with HIV/AIDS.(Cards pics shown in my photos underneath). Very meaningful to buy some of them which can help with someone who need our help when we are happily enjoying our stay. The service overall was very outstanding and excellant. The Resident Manager Ms. Simona Chimenti who is a very outgoing person and she came to chat with us every morning when we were having our breakfast...asking what they can do more to make our stay much happier. I really appreciated with that. One point I have to add, I find out every staff in The Pavilions are with multi-skills and well-trained. For example the date I checked out and called for a buggy to pick us up to the main lobby and I find out the driver of the buggy is the same staff who checkout us at the front office. Besides , special thanks to Mr. Kik, who took care of us since he picked us up at the airport and throughout our stay. I highly recommed this resort as my partner and i really enjoyed staying here. Would definitely come back! Thank you Pavilions team for making it an amazing stay :)
