"If you want to go all out this is the place!!"

"Go on - spoil yourselves - you know you want to"
I was concerned that Pavilions might be full of young, bronzed, toned, beautiful couples putting my more mature self to shame. However I need not have worried as we hardly saw anyone apart from at breakfast or watching the sunset from 360 bar and ages varied. Basically The Pavilions caters for discerning couples who want the finer things in life and can afford them. Sure we have had welcome flowers before, but maybe not such beautiful ones, hand tied. Yes, there have been platters of goodies in the room on arrival but not local delicacies like these and not with the title "Foods of Love". Turndown services worldwide offer a chocolate on the pillow but here you never know what is going to await you each evening, complete with love quote or tongue in cheek message. From the minute we entered the spacious villa we were not disappointed. If you have looked at the website then you have seen the layout of the villas and don't need me to describe them other than to say they are built one row above another into the hillside so that the pool area of one villa is above the living area of the one below. We could not see onto any other outdoor area from ours and only once heard our neighbours when outside by the pool, so they are very private. I adored the enormous sofa as big as a king sized bed. I rejoiced that wifi was both free and speedy plus no need to keep logging in or getting a voucher with a code. My husband loved the sound system and the fact that drinks in the bar fridge were well priced, not extortionate as usual, and my requests for ice brought a full bucket each time within minutes of ordering. From the colour co-ordinated umbrellas in their big black pot to the red towels in their black beach basket, the oriental basket of toiletries in the bathroom accompanied by the red toothmugs and the lemongrass mosquito spray, the attention to detail was there. I thought the separate entrance for the spa room was a wonderful idea to maintain privacy. Together with its tiny, delighful garden, the spa room and steam room were a real sanctuary. All the treatments we had were carried out by therapists who were both skilled and charming. Buggies arrived swiftly anytime we wanted to go to the bar or restaurant and the drivers were always smiling and friendly. The breakfasts were good and I enjoyed the special fresh juice mixes as well as the Mimosas and Bellinis on offer. There was also a "dish each day" to give variation from the regular items that were available each morning. I took a cookery class with friendly chef Belinda, which was both fun and great value. I can highly recommend the experience. We tried afternoon tea at the Library, which was a nice interlude on a day when the weather was poor. Staff serving were all lovely and remembered our names, which was a nice touch. Evening cocktails at 360 Bar were a must do even though it was past sunset by the time we arrived but we were surprised to find a couple of children with one group of guests as the resort advertises a policy of no under 16's. Having booked the Amore package, our romantic dinner for two at The Plantation Club was a table for two set up outside. I assumed the many candles lighting the steps and dining area were a regular evening event but it turned out they were part of the setup for our meal, which added to the atmosphere. We hardly left the villa and never did make it to the beach but mixed weather did not spoil our holiday. We just did what we came to do - relax - having done the sightseeing on previous trips to Phuket. My only gripe was that some construction work going on near the villa ruined our couple massage on the first day. I prefer the sounds of nature to music when having a massage and had asked for the door to the garden to be open so as to hear the birds and the running water, but the frequent whining of some cutting tool was not relaxing at all and we soon had to have the door closed and music on. The noise lasted for a few hours that day and we did bring it to the attention of the receptionist. After that we did hear it again but received a note from management apologising and a bottle of wine with some snacks to make up for the irritation. It was so good that we have just booked to return in October.
"Perfect Birthday Retreat"
The moment you step into The Pavilions, it's luxury, relaxation and VIP service standard. And to add on the staff were extremely kind and friendly, buggy service was impeccable the average wait for a buggy was ard 3-5 mins. Shuttle service to nearby supermarket and beach was great! Staff tends to all our requests. Breakfast was amazing, so many dishes to choose from a breakfast menu, and I was really craving for a strawberry banana smoothie and they made it for me when its not even in the menu (Absolutely made my day) And Thank you for the Birthday cake... Will definitely recommend my friends to The Pavilions <3
One of the best places I have ever stayed in my life, manager for hotel met us on arrival with cocktails, private pool, great breakfast included and afternoon tea. Cocktails at 360 bar seeing the sunset was beautiful. Good to be away from the the tourist areas complete bliss!!
""Lovely, Romantic, Relaxing, and Yummy!""
Our beautiful mountain top, ocean view pool villa had exceptionally gorgeous views of the valley below and a distant, yet relaxingly visible view of the Mekong Delta. The villa was impeccably clean, a/c and fans were very efficient, villa was decorated in trendy yet sophisticated, culturally representative furnishings; 5-star comfort with a variety of spaces to lounge in, relax, eat, and sleep in total privacy. The pool was beautiful, very clean and wonderfully located with dual access, outside the lounge-area and right off the bedroom. With a spacious living room, pool deck, outdoor lounge, large bedroom and huge bathroom, it was easy to feel at home. We had to push ourselves to leave the villa during our 6 day stay. Room service was quick and efficient and more importantly, the food from the varied venues, including our fun and successful cooking class, was first class dining every meal. The resort is spread out encouraging romantic walks, with available carts driven by willing staff when wanted. The only issues we had was no spa facility so services and treatments were performed in villa; it was fine we still enjoyed the excellent level of spa services, but would have enjoyed the exploration. Also, views from neighboring but far off buildings put me off just a bit, and we were offered and shown a comparable villa, but instead chose to ignore it. The resort manager was very nice and accommodating, the chef was friendly and provided a delicious high-quality menu of local and international dishes. We felt welcomed by the staff, all the time.
