"Best Chicago hotel "
Stayed at many 5 star hotels before in Chicago and around the world. Probably this hotel is in my top 3 world wide. Brand new renovated and modern rooms. Great hotel location in center of Michigan avenue. Perfect pool and spa. Excellent service. Beautiful lobby and tea time area. Good value for money ( although visited off season in January cold weather) Definitely will visit again next time in Chicago.
"Fabulous hotel "
Probably the best service and attention we have ever received in a hotel. Beautiful beautiful place and can't wait for our next visit. We were upgraded to a suite which greatly exceeded our expectations. Thanks to The Peninsula !
"Awesome weekend stay"
We stayed at your hotel with a group of thirty in Chicago this past weekend. Without a doubt the finest hotel I have ever stayed at in 35 years of traveling. Every detail was taken care of, the doormen set the tone with their smiles and attention The front desk was accommodating and sincere and the room was lovely (#1206) great view of Water Tower Breakfast in the lobby was well served by very attentive waiter We all had a great time and you achieved exceptional! We took a cab from Midway to the Peninsula; it was less than thirty minutes to the hotel. The front was well managed and we were quickly assisted to the entrance. The first floor is only an entrance and you take and elevator to get the lobby. The lobby is classic style--very elegant. Check was efficient, I was recognized by the hotel and the front desk attendant showed us to the room. The halls were in gray tones and, again, were classic styling. The rooms were recently renovated and the hotel has super modern tech. There are three IPAD like devices to control the room including temperature, TV, lights, etc. The TV is large--maybe 50 inches, is flush with the wall, and can rotated out to have a view from the bed .The desk is large and there are plenty of outlets, Next to the desk is a small round table. More decorative than functional but a good place to put some stuff. There was also an easy chair. Next to the bathroom is a walking in dressing room that includes a full length mirror. The bathroom has a separate water closet and a large glass shower. The tub is separate as well. Lots of marble and glass. We had room service both mornings. It was delivered as promised. Food was hot and fresh. In each room is also coffee maker. It is the pod type, but it is actually good coffee. In part, this is because there is an automatic water supply, no filling necessary. Everything is automated and it is one touch brewing--nice! This is an excellent location next to the magnificent mile and Rush Street. Lots of restaurants and stores nearby. This was an excellent stay.
"Very comfortable & luxurious rooms!"
The Peninsula always provides a beautiful product! The rooms, the food, the cocktails & the service are always top notch! We had a beautiful suite w/a spectacular view of the Sears building & the water tower. I've yet to be disappointed when I've stayed at a Peninsula Hotel.
