"Fabulous stay at the Peninsula Paris"
My husband stays a lot in this hotel for work and we joined him with nanny and children for half term. We stayed four nights in total in two communicating rooms. I was a bit nervous at first because my children are young and the hotel is a beautiful palace catering mostly for business people and wealthy tourists on the go but not for families. I was very wrong! There was not one thing the hotel staff didn't do for the children to have fun and us to feel special. They totally went beyond expectations. The boys were treated like Royalty and I felt very relaxed about the welcoming and accommodating approach. The palace is fabulous, and I am not going to describe all the modern and high tech features because other reviewers did that better than me. The food has gotten much better and the general feeling is more puzzling than when it opened. It's quiet and elegant and the staff is so so nice. The only downside of this hotel is the Lobby where breakfast is served. It lacks atmosphere and I think they haven't been able to furnish it properly as it's sumptuous but so cold and soul-less. Also the breakfast is too slow and not luxurious enough for a palace of this calibre. But those are very minor details frankly!
My partner and I stayed at the Peninsula Paris for 3 nights. We had an amazing time. PP successfully delivered what patrons would expect from a 5-star hotel including their hospitality and efficiency. From the moment we checked in to the hotel, we felt like being valued and pampered. We have had some excellent sleep we've ever had as the bed and linens are just beyond words can describe. Peninsula Paris is the first and only hotel I have stayed to offer glasses-cleaning cloth (super impressive). We left our sunglasses on the desk and the housekeeper had put our glasses on top of a petit cloth when we came back from dinner. It shows how much they attend to details. We had breakfast one morning but our orders got held back as there was something wrong with the kitchen. As we were in a hurry, we had no choice but to cancel our orders. I must say the manager handled the situation very professionally. This is the fourth Peninsula I have had stayed in. It is true that Peninsula experience would never let you down.
"Business trip Paris Fashion week"
My client booked a huge suite on the 4th floor of this hotel. Upon arrival the manager and VIP client relations were there to great us and everything seamed to be in order. Because of our busy schedule we were not able to eat much out of the hotel so we had to use the room service almost for every meal. For our surprise that was were the hotel weakness was, they forgot food, the plates were not so clean and sometimes we had to have an argument to be able to get what we wanted. Not good for a hotel on that level. The SPA was amazing and the gym has a large variety of choices.Location is great.
