Stayed for 5 nights in feb and had a fantastic time. Location is amazing for sight seeing, room was a decent size. Free coffee in the morning which my partner loved but if you want a cup of tea you have to pay for the full breakfast which was a bit annoying but so many places around that do a takeaway tea it wasn't too bad. All staff so friendly and made a point of saying hello. We had booked via BA so didn't have to pay the daily fee which was a relief. Would definitely recomend and return. Thanks for a wonderful holiday!
Great and modern hotel in midtown. Very close to subway, Empire State Building, Flatiron District. Easy walk down to Times Square, Madison Square Garden, Broadway etc. Rooms cramped but welcome to NYC! Marta (downstairs restaurant/bar) is a great place to eat with good pizzas and no tipping required. Concierge helpful in organising airport transfers and recommending best options around the city.
"Work visit "
Nice location. Nice amenities. The hotel seems to be a bit in need of repair. Lots of dings in the walls and little things need to be fixed. Bed was comfortable. Rooms are NYC small but not bad. The had a cash mini bar in the room in the closet floor which the closet had no door so the clear glass front light up all night Good was on the higher floors it's quite enough for NY.
"Loved this hotel"
This is a terrific boutique hotel- It was newly renovated when we went and its very cozy but with an old world feeling. A wonderful location within walking distance to Times Square- The bar area is very popular. Definitely recommend it and would go back.
"Thanks giving weekend"
My wife and I stayed over Thanksgiving weekend. Knowing it was an older famous hotel (Martha Washington Hotel) , we didn't know what to expect but after visiting the redbury in Los Angeles we assumed it would be a high quality trendy Boutique hotel and we were not disappointed. It is in a perfect location half way between soho and time square and easy to get everywhere with the hotel as your starting point. Great restaurant in the lobby that is a must try. Our room was much bigger than normal new york rooms which was a pleasant surprise and it had a homey mid century/modern feel to it. Place was very clean and well kept , which as frequent new york travelers know, isn't always the case. Id definitely stay here again and plan to in the near future.
