The Rembrandt is perfectly positioned to explore the local area. With the V&A Museum opposite the hotel, The Natural History Museum and The Science Museum only 5 minutes away and Harrods, Harvey Nichols and other designer shops within a 10 minute walk. South Kensington tube station (Circle, District and Piccadilly lines) is only few minutes walk away making The Rembrandt the perfect base for London. From the South Kensington tube you can access all the large mainline stations, such as Paddington (trains for Heathrow), Victoria (trains for Gatwick), Charing Cross and Liverpool Street to name but a few.
We had a very enjoyable stay at this hotel whose staff were attentive and helpful. The only minor criticisms were that the dining room wasn't open for dinner most nights, though you could get a restricted menu in the lounge bar, and that there was no butter knife on the table at breakfast, meaning you had to keep hold of the knife you'd used for your cooked breakfast. However, as we say, these were only minor irritations in what was a very enjoyable seven nights at the hotel.Comment of B. Cassandra , United Kingdom the 2015-09-02

Ideal hotel for visits to museums, Harrods and Royal Albert Hall. A short walk away from South Kensington tube station which enables easy access to anywhere in the city in a short while. Everything about the hotel was fantastic. Our visit was to see the display of poppies at the Tower which was wonderful.Comment of S. Elizabeth , United Kingdom the 2014-10-19

Fantastic experience, hotel gave an upgrade to celebrate 25th wedding anniversary, terrific room with view across to the Victoria and albert museum. Location great, hotel staff great, room great, this will be our hotel every time we come to LondonComment of B. Chris , United Kingdom the 2014-07-18
We have visited the Rembrandt several times. The hotel is well looked after and the staff friendly. The location is excellent being near museums and with tube access to the city from South Kensington on three lines. A nice addition to our room this time was a jacuzzi bath in the bathroom. The room was spotlessly clean and the cost was very reasonable.Comment of W. Nigel , United Kingdom the 2014-07-17
Ottimo il collegamento a Piccadilly Circus con il bus 14. Colazione splendida. Proprio accanto ai migliori musei.Comment of M. Massimo , Italy the 2014-07-02
We recently stayed 10 days at The Rembrandt. It was very clean and comfortable. The hotel is a 5 minute walk from the South Kensington tube stop and less than a block from the Victoria & Albert Museum and the Natural History and Science Museum. Our room was always spotless, the bathroom was huge for a hotel in London: spring for the executive king room. It is completely worth it. The bath had a whirlpool tub, great shower, heated towel rack, and in-room safe. The mini-bar was well-stocked and the prices were in-line with the convince stores we passed on the street or in the tube stops. The closet needs a few more hangers, but the drawer space was more than adequate for the two of us. There is a complimentary full English breakfast with great staff and a filling meal with enough variety to keep us engaged for 10 days. We also ate in the hotel restaurant a few times after returning late from a concert or show. The service was excellent and the sandwiches in the bar area were delicious and reasonably priced. The front desk was helpful and accommodating. We arrived a couple of hours before check-in time; the hotel stored our luggage while we stretched our legs in the neighborhood. I felt very safe in the area, even as a woman alone at night. There were good restaurants near the hotel: exceptional Chinese and Thai food along with lots of snack possibilities. After a long day, it was a pleasure to come "home" to the hotel. We will definitely book this hotel on a return visit to London. We highly recommend The Rembrandt.Comment of S. "Weekend trip to London"
Myself & a friend visited the hotel in March 2017. We booked in a package holiday with British Airways Holidays. We found the hotel easy enough from the tube. Location-wise it was excellent, Harrods is further on down the street. Upon arrival we were greeted via friendly staff. We were too early for the 2pm check-in so we left our bags & went out to explore. Hotel decor was nice, decent bathroom & plenty of hot water. Hotel was nice & warm. Felt secure as yoyr keycards required to get up on the lift. Breakfast was inc in price & they bring it to the room if requested for a small fee. My only bugbear with our room was to the far side if the hotel with slanted ceiling. The hotel were not to know their guests had a chronic back complaint & the other was 6"4. Everything else at the hotel was grand.
"Another great visit"
We have returned again to the Rembrandt,(our 4th visit); as before we had a good time. The staff continue to be efficient, courteous and friendly. Our room this time was on the 4th floor (467). It was spacious with views over the London houses. The room was well prepared and super clean, even though we arrived early. The reception staff were very efficient and let us go to the room before the official check in time because it was ready.I like the fact that they did not keep us downstairs because we had arrived early( unlike other hotels we have experienced ). They used their own discretion and common sense because the room was ready after all. Again the breakfasts were first rate with lots of choice whenever we went down, the staff work very hard to ensure that hot drinks are served almost as soon as you sit down. The food at breakfast was all well cooked and served and was constantly replenished. There was a good range of pastries and freshly baked bread, all in all everything most people could require. We didn't eat any other meals at the hotel but we did enjoy the wonderful cocktails in the bar after returning from a night out. The great advantage of this hotel is its proximity to the Natural History and V & A and the wealth of good local restaurants. We ate at Spanish, Italian,English,Vegetarian and Polish all within five minutes of the hotel. It is also necessary to mention the South Kensington tube right on the doorstep and the taxi rank right outside. The test of a good hotel is when something doesn't go right and the response is first rate. On one night when we returned from a trip into town we found that the coffee cups had not been cleaned and the tea and coffee had not been topped up although the room had been cleaned perfectly. We rang reception and after apologies they said someone would come to sort it out. A delightful man came within 4 minutes with a whole new set of cups and extra tea, coffee etc. fantastic service by any ones standards. Again when we checked out we left our cases with the concierge to spend our last day visiting the museums, we returned at 5pm and we were met with genuine friendliness. He stated that it was all part of the service. It allows you to really enjoy the last day without the burden of lugging suitcases around. One further tip take your swimming costume because there is a great health centre adjoining the hotel and the staff again proved to be informative and helpful advising the quiet times to swim. We love this hotel for its position, breakfasts and staff attitudes. We are already planning our next visit and we wouldn't think of staying anywhere else.
"Could be so much better"
Visited for a 2 night stay rooms were ok but not plush and we had booked an executive room rang twice for beverage replenishment and never came.sat in the bar in the evening only serve 175ml wine can't get 250ml ordered ice cream only vanilla strawberry left! The hotel had a wedding on Saturday so limited service and on Sunday evening no restaurant service at all stayed at the Rubens prev much better in all aspects for same deal price with secret escapes.what a shame as location good So much choice of hotels so why not strive to be excellent
Me and my friend stayed here when we visited London to watch Arsenal play and we had a great stay and experience here! Great location of the Royal Museum and walking distance to the tube and also Harrods for those looking to go there.
"What a wonderful hotel!"
My husband and I stayed at the Rembrandt for ten days and we loved the experience. It's a very comfortable hotel and the staff is friendly and polite. The room was very cosy and clean. The breakfast is excellent, with many different choices. Futhermore, it has a very good location, near good restaurants, great museums, Kensington Gardens and Harrods. The V&A Museum is across from the hotel. And last, but not least, the South Kensington tube station, which has three lines, is a five-minute walk from this great hotel. We highly recommend it!
