The Rembrandt is perfectly positioned to explore the local area. With the V&A Museum opposite the hotel, The Natural History Museum and The Science Museum only 5 minutes away and Harrods, Harvey Nichols and other designer shops within a 10 minute walk. South Kensington tube station (Circle, District and Piccadilly lines) is only few minutes walk away making The Rembrandt the perfect base for London. From the South Kensington tube you can access all the large mainline stations, such as Paddington (trains for Heathrow), Victoria (trains for Gatwick), Charing Cross and Liverpool Street to name but a few.
We had a very enjoyable stay at this hotel whose staff were attentive and helpful. The only minor criticisms were that the dining room wasn't open for dinner most nights, though you could get a restricted menu in the lounge bar, and that there was no butter knife on the table at breakfast, meaning you had to keep hold of the knife you'd used for your cooked breakfast. However, as we say, these were only minor irritations in what was a very enjoyable seven nights at the hotel.Comment of B. Cassandra , United Kingdom the 2015-09-02

Ideal hotel for visits to museums, Harrods and Royal Albert Hall. A short walk away from South Kensington tube station which enables easy access to anywhere in the city in a short while. Everything about the hotel was fantastic. Our visit was to see the display of poppies at the Tower which was wonderful.Comment of S. Elizabeth , United Kingdom the 2014-10-19

Fantastic experience, hotel gave an upgrade to celebrate 25th wedding anniversary, terrific room with view across to the Victoria and albert museum. Location great, hotel staff great, room great, this will be our hotel every time we come to LondonComment of B. Chris , United Kingdom the 2014-07-18
We have visited the Rembrandt several times. The hotel is well looked after and the staff friendly. The location is excellent being near museums and with tube access to the city from South Kensington on three lines. A nice addition to our room this time was a jacuzzi bath in the bathroom. The room was spotlessly clean and the cost was very reasonable.Comment of W. Nigel , United Kingdom the 2014-07-17
Ottimo il collegamento a Piccadilly Circus con il bus 14. Colazione splendida. Proprio accanto ai migliori musei.Comment of M. Massimo , Italy the 2014-07-02
We recently stayed 10 days at The Rembrandt. It was very clean and comfortable. The hotel is a 5 minute walk from the South Kensington tube stop and less than a block from the Victoria & Albert Museum and the Natural History and Science Museum. Our room was always spotless, the bathroom was huge for a hotel in London: spring for the executive king room. It is completely worth it. The bath had a whirlpool tub, great shower, heated towel rack, and in-room safe. The mini-bar was well-stocked and the prices were in-line with the convince stores we passed on the street or in the tube stops. The closet needs a few more hangers, but the drawer space was more than adequate for the two of us. There is a complimentary full English breakfast with great staff and a filling meal with enough variety to keep us engaged for 10 days. We also ate in the hotel restaurant a few times after returning late from a concert or show. The service was excellent and the sandwiches in the bar area were delicious and reasonably priced. The front desk was helpful and accommodating. We arrived a couple of hours before check-in time; the hotel stored our luggage while we stretched our legs in the neighborhood. I felt very safe in the area, even as a woman alone at night. There were good restaurants near the hotel: exceptional Chinese and Thai food along with lots of snack possibilities. After a long day, it was a pleasure to come "home" to the hotel. We will definitely book this hotel on a return visit to London. We highly recommend The Rembrandt.Comment of S. Back for another visit--this hotel is a regular for me in London. Great location, reasonable service, average to above average rooms. Good for personal and business travel. Reliable wifi, good breakfast buffet. comfortable lobby bar/bar snack area.
"Lovely hotel in a popular location"
We stayed here as part of our 10th wedding anniversary celebrations and it certainly suited the occasion. The hotel is ideally situated opposite the V and A and minutes from South Kensington tube. It is a quiet oasis away from the bustle of Museum London and the madness that is Harrods/Knightsbridge. We had a deluxe room and it was a good size. The bed was enormous and very comfortable. My only complaint was the air con unit in the room was noisy and couldn't be completely shut off. It took me 24 hrs to get the room temp sorted as it was baking hot but luckily the windows here open! Linen quality is excellent and dressing gowns are a nice touch. The complimentary toiletries were good quality. Our room was not in the refurbished part of the hotel so the bathroom still possesses the bidet and whirlpool bath and the floor to ceiling marble - all in keeping with the hotel's 'luxury' feel but a little dated. The toilet flush was rubbish! Given that the hotel was very busy it was very quiet and we were not disturbed by banging doors/other guests. The blackout curtains also work a treat so a good night's rest can be had. Breakfast included a good selection of hot/cold items. The lift displays do highlight peak times for breakfast and I would avoid the 10-11 slot on Sunday if you prefer a quieter affair. The lounge bar is really lovely and very relaxing. We enjoyed a few quiet hours reading the papers and having a well deserved drink or too! This Hotel knows it's getting it right and it's understated elegance makes it a lovely oasis of calm away from the chaos outside. We'd happily visit again.
We had a 3 night stay here, the location of the Hotel is superb, very close to Harrods, directly opposite the V&A museum and a nice walk to the Royal Albert Hall. The bedrooms were well appointed and quite spacious although the air conditioning fan was a little noisy. The breakfast area was busy but well managed with a table made available with no waiting,an excellent buffet selection of food and the cooked English breakfast was as good as it gets.
"Really a 4 1/2, very, very nice hotel"
Outstanding location! Tons of good places to eat close by, directly across from the South Kensington tube, a short walk to Hyde Park, upscale neighborhoods with cool kitchen stores. It is a cozy older hotel without seeming 'old'. The staff were super friendly, the rooms quiet, small but had all the amenities one would like, including USB port plug-ins. I did not give 5 stars for sleep quality just because anything that is not the equivalent of a "heavenly bed" doesn't get 5 stars. But they did provide several grades of pillow 'heights' so that was great. Only tiny negatives - the US-style wall plugs were not 'live'; breakfast really good, but the standard coffee mediocre - ask for the latte or cappucino. And if you are coming from the US, apparently there is a box to check when booking on-line, where you can request a room on arrival in the morning (early check-in) - our friend who checked the box got such a room, but other 2 of us didn't notice the box and waited till ~ 1 pm. But not the hotel's fault - well organized approach, I just missed it.
"Fully met expectations! 😄 "
Just returned from a lovely 3 night stay at The Rembrandt Hotel. Received a warm and friendly welcome from staff on front desk. Room was lovely. I was worried about size of a classic room but it was spacious enough with a nice view at back of hotel (rather than the buckets you sometimes overlook!) Nice big bathroom with lovely toiletries. We received a complimentary bottle of wine for a special occasion which was a lovely touch and much appreciated. The Continental breakfast was very good with plenty of choice and you could pay £5 extra if full cooked breakfast desired. I noticed breakfast staff were very attentive to guests with particular requests eg hot water with lemon instead of tea or coffee. Breakfast tables were packed quite close together, it didn't really bother us but that would be my only negative point. Hotel is in a wonderful location, in a beautiful, charming area. 5 minutes walk from South Kensington underground station. Harrods along the road, also an M&S and Boots close by. Opposite the V&A and very close to other museums, the Albert Hall and Kensington Gardens. So much sights to choose from! Overall a lovely hotel, very good service, clean and good value with friendly, helpful staff. Really enjoyed our stay and would hope to return again on a future stay in London.
