The Rembrandt is perfectly positioned to explore the local area. With the V&A Museum opposite the hotel, The Natural History Museum and The Science Museum only 5 minutes away and Harrods, Harvey Nichols and other designer shops within a 10 minute walk. South Kensington tube station (Circle, District and Piccadilly lines) is only few minutes walk away making The Rembrandt the perfect base for London. From the South Kensington tube you can access all the large mainline stations, such as Paddington (trains for Heathrow), Victoria (trains for Gatwick), Charing Cross and Liverpool Street to name but a few.
We had a very enjoyable stay at this hotel whose staff were attentive and helpful. The only minor criticisms were that the dining room wasn't open for dinner most nights, though you could get a restricted menu in the lounge bar, and that there was no butter knife on the table at breakfast, meaning you had to keep hold of the knife you'd used for your cooked breakfast. However, as we say, these were only minor irritations in what was a very enjoyable seven nights at the hotel.Comment of B. Cassandra , United Kingdom the 2015-09-02

Ideal hotel for visits to museums, Harrods and Royal Albert Hall. A short walk away from South Kensington tube station which enables easy access to anywhere in the city in a short while. Everything about the hotel was fantastic. Our visit was to see the display of poppies at the Tower which was wonderful.Comment of S. Elizabeth , United Kingdom the 2014-10-19

Fantastic experience, hotel gave an upgrade to celebrate 25th wedding anniversary, terrific room with view across to the Victoria and albert museum. Location great, hotel staff great, room great, this will be our hotel every time we come to LondonComment of B. Chris , United Kingdom the 2014-07-18
We have visited the Rembrandt several times. The hotel is well looked after and the staff friendly. The location is excellent being near museums and with tube access to the city from South Kensington on three lines. A nice addition to our room this time was a jacuzzi bath in the bathroom. The room was spotlessly clean and the cost was very reasonable.Comment of W. Nigel , United Kingdom the 2014-07-17
Ottimo il collegamento a Piccadilly Circus con il bus 14. Colazione splendida. Proprio accanto ai migliori musei.Comment of M. Massimo , Italy the 2014-07-02
We recently stayed 10 days at The Rembrandt. It was very clean and comfortable. The hotel is a 5 minute walk from the South Kensington tube stop and less than a block from the Victoria & Albert Museum and the Natural History and Science Museum. Our room was always spotless, the bathroom was huge for a hotel in London: spring for the executive king room. It is completely worth it. The bath had a whirlpool tub, great shower, heated towel rack, and in-room safe. The mini-bar was well-stocked and the prices were in-line with the convince stores we passed on the street or in the tube stops. The closet needs a few more hangers, but the drawer space was more than adequate for the two of us. There is a complimentary full English breakfast with great staff and a filling meal with enough variety to keep us engaged for 10 days. We also ate in the hotel restaurant a few times after returning late from a concert or show. The service was excellent and the sandwiches in the bar area were delicious and reasonably priced. The front desk was helpful and accommodating. We arrived a couple of hours before check-in time; the hotel stored our luggage while we stretched our legs in the neighborhood. I felt very safe in the area, even as a woman alone at night. There were good restaurants near the hotel: exceptional Chinese and Thai food along with lots of snack possibilities. After a long day, it was a pleasure to come "home" to the hotel. We will definitely book this hotel on a return visit to London. We highly recommend The Rembrandt.Comment of S. "Very nice hotel and good location. "
Second time we've stayed and would always stay here when visiting this part of London. Staff friendly and professional and very comfortable throughout. Well appointed and the scrambled eggs at breakfast were the best. Perfect when visiting the Royal Albert Hall.
"Great Location "
We stayed for 3 nights here in a Classic Double room. Great location as it is right opposite the V&A Museum - which is amazing! Service was friendly and the concierge was most helpful - we appreciated the bottle of wine we received for our anniversary! Breakfasts were very busy, but the food & service was great. The only negative was that the room was rather small and had a very cramped bathroom. Otherwise we enjoyed our stay!
"Great experience at The Rembrandt"
My husband and I stayed at The Rembrandt in early March. We had not heard of The Rembrandt – sadly, it isn’t featured in any of the tour books we used – but the online reviews were strong and the location and online photos looked promising. It turned out that The Rembrandt was an excellent choice for our week-long stay. Its location was perfect, right across from the Victoria and Albert Museum and only a couple of blocks from the South Kensington station, making it easy to get around London from the hotel. The area is lively but not crowded and was only a stroll away from Harrods and several restaurants. The hotel really distinguished itself for the excellence of its staff who were knowledgeable, helpful, service-orientated, incredibly friendly, and eager to make our stay as good as it could be. All of their recommendations for restaurants, theatre, and activities were excellent, and they readily made our reservations for us. Mr. Neil Cowan, in particular, was an outstanding concierge, ranking among the best we have had in our many years of travel abroad. We arrived on a day in which the hotel was packed, and although we had paid extra for an upscale room with a king bed, the room we were given was modest with tired furnishings overlooking a construction site. We were disappointed. But the next day, the staff moved us to an excellent room for the rest of our stay that was newly refurbished and quite lovely, facing a quiet and quaint street. This spacious well-appointed king-bedded room fully lived up to our hopes. The staff explained that the hotel was filled when we arrived because the hotel was hosting a large gala. They regretted the first room we had and made every effort to redress that first experience. We were given a bottle of wine on my husband’s birthday, and every manner of courtesy was extended, with the staff going far beyond reasonable expectations. The full English breakfast buffet that was included in the room price was sumptuous and varied, and additional items were available upon request without charge, including lattes, cappucinos and eggs made to order beyond the eggs already on the buffet. Although billed as an English Breakfast, it catered to many tastes and had wonderful croissants. We only ate breakfasts at the hotel, so we cannot comment on the restaurant beyond that, but the kitchen appeared to be quite capable with strong quality control. The hotel had many guests from across Europe, though there appeared to be relatively few Americans. But as its reputation spreads among US travelers there surely will be more American visitors. Bottom line: Our experience at The Rembrandt was excellent. We would return there in the future without hesitation. Ann Arbor, Michigan
"Welcoming, professional and helpful"
We had stayed already stayed one night in London in a rented property where unfortunately the bed was of a poor quality. We arrived at the front desk of the hotel to ask if rooms were available & explained how my husband's back was causing him problems. The receptionist and porter were great, they offered to arrange for a board to be placed under the mattress. The executive deluxe room was a good size, the bed was bliss. Next morning, reception followed through by asking if we had experienced a comfortable night - a personable service. Great breakfast, plenty of variety, all staff (house keeping, restaurant etc) friendly and welcoming. Stayed three nights.
"Waiting staff need training asap "
Front of house friendly . The restaurant is open and pleasant. The waiting staff are very rude, trying to collect plates from your table, when all the guests have not finished. This felt uncomfortable. Even when told, a waitress again tried to clear the table when someone was still eating. Far to eager to finish service..... food was ok... a little bit odd on days... The wine selection was average to say the least. Porters were very helpful indeed. A lots of training with regard to staff. The rooms are fine. Not the biggest but the location is the key.
