"Great Hotel could be better"
The Hotel itself is amazing and the views breathtaking but where this Hotel falls compared to some other Brilliant 5star plus establishments in Hong Kong is in the F&B department. Having dined at the Italian and then the salad buffet in the Lounge, I can honestly say I would not rush back.
We stayed at for 4 nights in the Victoria harbor facing room We had booked pickup from airport and had asked for Tesla Pickup was smooth at airport and our driver kept us entertained us very much while driving to hotel Checking was smooth and we got 107th floor Lobby is at 103 floor so can be confusing how to reach there but should not be a problem , room was immaculate clean and very well designed, we enjoyed the view from our room a lot, room was spacious and with everything we expect at five star luxury property Breakfast was nice, lot of variety which kept on changing for couple of days but if you stay for more than 2 to 3 days you may get bored but not his hotel fault, view from breakfast was super and staff were very polite and courteous , there were guest who were rude and even don't know how to eat with children but staff were still polite and nice to them and kept on cleaning the table and carpet with dedication, salute to them Location is ok, not great but ok, you can get taxi to go everywhere but taking cab back was challenge many times, Kowloon station is attached to big shopping mall called Elements and hotel is part of it,mall is useful for shopping and also eating as hotel food is expensive and may not have the variety which you may expect Biggest plus is the staff , everyone was so polite attentive and always eager to help, concierge at front desk were amazing , guiding and advising us what to do and how to do, really was great experience, they booked taxi while back to airport as they thought we can manage that way and can be cheaper as well Overall great experience
Gosh, I don't know where to start! We just loved it! It was a special occasion so we went all out! I can’t wait to come back for another Anniversary however I will need to save another few years for it! We LOVED the lounge and if anyone is thinking of staying at The Ritz, only book with the Lounge option. We just drunk Champagne together in the clouds, experienced the highest Jacuzzi in the world (I think) Swam surrounded by TV's and relaxed! The booking stage...once I had been directed to the lovely Joanna Yu in Reservations, everything started going right. She suggested the corner room - I went for it! and my goodness was not disappointed. Even though it was September and a little cloudy, grey and rainy it was AMAZING!! Once we were showed up to our stunning corner room, it was a dream - really a dream. I am embarrassed to say we did not leave the hotel! We just watched the clouds and world go by. The sweet staff had made wonderful birthday decoration, card, cake the list goes on it was all totally unforgettable! A few special staff members we met were Irene in the Lounge and the training students all very sweet, all the house keepers and IRD which were so kind and also the lovely (I think) porter which had lived in Cambodia for a little time (sorry I didn't remember everyone’s name). We have already decided we will do the same trip for a future big anniversary! Another fantastic perk we were able to have a free taxi on the way back to the station an embarrassingly short trip however well worth it! also there was the possibility of checking in our luggage on our plane in the station - that was very impressive as we were very pressed for time.
"Definition of Awesomeness"
Besides being modern and luxurious in its rooms, the hotel is located in a section of the ICC which is iconic amongst the Hong Kong Skyline. It counts with a tapas bar on the top floor which is mind blowing and just perfect to end up relaxed after a long shopping day most probably in Hong Kong.
"Incredible Hotel in the Sky, Unforgettable Staff"
TripAdvisor Review – First Draft 13/1/2017 Having stayed at other top tier hotels across the world, including other Ritz Carlton locations, this was my first at the Ritz Carlton Hong Kong; it won't be my last. Over five unforgettable days/four nights, the Ritz Carlton Hong Kong was my castle in the sky. My suite was located on floor 111. At twice the height of other nearby buildings, the ICC is a modern marvel of engineering. If you find beauty in architecture as I do, you'll be in amazed at how such an amazing hotel is this high above the Earth. Don’t miss the swimming pool on the top floor. Some details about my suite. it was finely appointed with a comfortable mattress, great linens and per my request extra pillows and top sheet. Loved the couch and other furniture, it was just as comfortable as my home. Tasteful artwork and styling throughout the room showed a well thought out holistic design. The desk was great to work at when I had write a few emails, and the Wi-Fi was sufficiently fast enough (10Mbps) for all my gear. Loved the Nespresso machine with plenty of capsules so I could get my daily fix. While not my first RC stay, this was my first time experiencing the Club Level. It's far beyond other 'gold floors’ I've experienced at other hotels. The wine choices were excellent and the food was world class; kudos to who procured that Malbec. Tasty options like Wagyu beef and the fresh dumplings were always plentiful. The staff made it easy and honestly too fun to trouble myself with venturing out when I was tired. More about the staff; they were the rock stars of my stay. I had the honor of meeting some very talented and special people. By the time to checkout it felt like I was saying good-bye to friends. They truly personalized my visit and in-kind here is my personal thank-you to each of them: Lobby, Bell, Bar & Front Desk: Justin -- Thank you for the map and directions, you sensed I was lost that morning. Somehow I still took the MTR the long way round, but I remembered the shortcut you showed me and that saved my tired legs that evening. Thanks for always offering to get things sorted for me. Your Perth accent will open many doors my friend. Ling – Next time I promise to try the caviar! The drinks and new friends made at the bar that night were so memorable. What luck conversations among strangers would lead to such a fun experience the next day (see my other review about the amazing private Hong Kong tour I took). While the bar looks so formal, you make everyone feel right at home. Baz -- I finally did make it to the Cinema, thank you for all the help and assistance in the lobby. You have a special talent: being able to navigate a room engaging total strangers in conversation and making them feel welcome. I observed you size up many arriving guests in the lobby stressed from their travels and you gave them a smile and hello to put them at ease. Doris -- You saw me coming and always held the elevator door. We never got to say more than a hello and thank you as I stepped inside the elevator, but I never forgot your name. Heidi -- Always a disarming smile and greeting me each day. Your presence warms many guests I'm sure but every day you always made me feel special while we waited for the elevator as we talked. Jin -- Front desk is hard work, yet you multitask like a pro. My phone calls, checking for my packages and my room change, you managed it all with even a hesitation. In addition, you also kept all my goods secure in the safe deposit room. Impressive work! Spa: Yumi -- Thank you for walking me through the spa menu in detail and making arrangements for me on such short notice! I'm quite curious in regards to things, but you delivered with all the information I needed to make great choices. Candy -- You have the hands of an angel. I loved the stretching & breathing part of the 'Sweet Dreams' massage, truly a signature treatment of the HK RC. Thanks for making it fun and your great sense of humor! Dorothy -- Always making sure I was well taken care of, I appreciate your attention to detail; I don't think anything slips by you! It’s clear why the spa runs with such precision, thank you for achieving the scheduled timing on each of my treatments; not easy! Pam -- Amazing facial treatment. I've had a few in my young years, but yours was a class above. Thank you for explaining things and being prepared in advance for the challenge my lazy skin care routine gave you. Club-Level Lounge: Anna -- Appreciate the warm greeting and smile every day. Your fluent Spanish with other guests made me regret we did not converse more. Emma -- The elegance in your approach to conversation is a lost art that not many know these days. Your formal style left me feeling like Dutch royalty every day at lunch. Glad to have met you during your internship, you're well prepared for anywhere you want to go in your future. May -- You're the ultimate problem solver. You handled my checkout requests with such ease, my only regret is I didn't come to you sooner to ask for your help. I wasted so much time worrying and you solved it with a smile. I'll be contacting you soon to book my next reservation. Laura H. -- Pleasure getting to know you, best wishes in your future studies post-internship. Muchas gracias mi amiga for bringing me back to life each morning with multiple cappuccinos. Life saver! Marco -- You couldn't have picked a better name. I hope you experience Italy one day. You mix a great Manhattan. Charles -- Thank you for the warm welcome the evening I arrived. After a long journey you made it easy to fit right in; everyday was a seamless experience during your duty. Felix -- Always answering the phone in the middle of the day to take care of my requests, never once making me feel like I was being an annoyance. You're a real trooper, such class and professionalism. Regina -- We had little time together but I never had to look up when I needed something, you were right there waiting. Thank you for always keeping my glass full, your warm eyes and big smile. Ivan -- I agree with you, pink flowers are a no-no. Great taste in fine things will take you a long way in life. Love your raw honesty in your opinions on flowers and beyond, especially the right wine to pair with my meal. Patricia -- Professional to the fullest, and such a big heart it left me touched. Larger than Stanley and bigger than Hong Kong, you're going places. I hope to see you again in the HK RC, or anywhere else I have the pleasure to stay where-ever your career will inevitable grow. Simply my best to you. House Keeping: Gloria L. -- She manages floor 111 like a boss, highly recommend staying on that floor! She came to meet me after I called and took care of every concern. Bailey -- Answering the phone with my daily laundry and pressing needs. No regrets when I partied too hard, you always got it clean. Mimi -- The goddess who made my room everything it was and absolved all me from all my sins the next day. I tried to keep things clean and when I came up short, you always put everything back in its right place. In closing; I'll be staying at the HK RC my next visit. If you do and have the pleasure to meet any of the special individuals I mentioned above, please tell them I send my regards. They'll remember me and no doubt you'll make a new friend too!
