"Epitome of Servive and Comfort"
The Ritz is an awesome hotel like no other in the world. It is the epitome of hotels that which i judge all others by. "The Ritz Meter" As i say although the grammy event was at the staples center the real party and excitement is at the Ritz. From check-in recognition by proper name to the club section indulgence to the plush beds set up by housekeeping the hotel is that which all others are measured,in my experiences. The Ritz is the best. The front desk team of Lauren, Marcus, Curtis John Kramer, Serena, Samantha and of course Peter always greet me and my guests warmly and as if they are the only ones in the hotel. The club section caters to all my little and big desires...from champagne to apple martinis to deserts and foods through out the day. The club staff of Tory, Emad, Roy, Kayla, Carina and Darius are the elite of club representatives . My room was immaculate thanks to Carla, Joanna and the night/evening housekeepers. Jordon, Jesse and David are continually assisting me throughout my stays with my bags and other requests I have.. and not to forget the houseman Oscar who greeted me daily .The Ritz is THE BEST........ Everyone should stay once in their lifetime a month at the Ritz.
"Great hotel but some minor issues"
I stayed twice at this hotel; it is well situated right downtown LA. It's very near Staples Center so you're close to many events. The staff is typical of Ritz: the offer fantastic service and are very sensitive to all our needs. Also, the roof top pool is a marvel. The rooms - which are quite expensive - had some minor issues. First, the shower water was not very hot (I even changed room and it was similar in the other room). Secondly, there was some very noisy wind coming through my door and it seems there was nothing the staff could do about it. Finally, if you're a light sleeper like me, avoid the rooms facing the highway: the windows are not totally sound proof so you hear a lot of noise (and traffic never stops in LA). So in general, it's a great hotel but some minor issues make the stay not as excepted when you pay such high prices for a hotel room.
"Best of Both Worlds"
This is a hotel within a hotel, providing a boutique experience with all the benefits of a large property. Marianna was able to give us early entry into our junior suite which had a beautiful view of the Hollywood Hills and the iconic Hollywood sign. The lounge - layout, staff, and offerings - rivaled the best of any Ritz Carlton, including Bulkhead. The layout was particularly inviting, situated like a living room with a variety of places to read, grab a quick bite, or watch a ballgame. Roy in particular was very helpful. The pool and work out facilities were also top notch, especially for the small number of rooms for the Ritz guests. My wife and I had a spa day for her birthday and they could not have been nicer, especially giving her a small birthday cake which was very special. The benefit to this hotel is that it is small, allowing for individual attention but connected by a hallway is the JW Marriott with all the amenities of a very large hotel, such as lobby, restaurants, coffee shop, gift shop, lounge, etc. This is a great place to stay and I would highly recommend. The only negative in an otherwise flawless stay is that our room was located on the 24th floor. Co-located on that floor is a restaurant. As a result there is an unbelievable foul stench which permeates the hallways at night. My advice is to stay on the 23, 25th, or 26th floor and avoid the 24th floor for that reason.
"Its the Ritz!"
Wow service was amazing they went over and beyond to make our stay special. Jordan bellmen, Loren frondesk, guys in Valet. Super nice hotel and great location LA Live We would recommend and stay again every time in LA. love this place.
"Luxury in the city"
A wonderful urban oasis with an excellent staff. I had booked at another hotel nearby and spent my first night in misery. I had been at the Ritz on previous trips and decided to go back. It's a little more expensive but the experience is worth it. The rooms are clean and have great views. It is a quick trip to USC where my daughter is a student, so it was convenient for her to come & stay with me. Loved it!
