"The Best Ritz this Side of the World"
Hands down the most unheard of hospitality services in America. I have tracked the world and enjoyed many long stays in hotels, this one makes the top of the list!!! Congrats Ritz LA!!! Your executive lounge staff are above all others!!!
I went for a deep tissue massage and it was very good. The hotel shares a building with the JW Marriott so if you show up in their lobby on Olympic just ask how I get to the ritz. It's through a hallway on the right side of the JW lobby. Staff was great. Everyone was very friendly and very accommodating. The men's locker room is small with two showers and a steam room. No sauna or any type of pool nor jacuzzi. The steam is nice - it's hot enough without being too hot and it has some built in lounge chairs. The shower has a rainfall head and two side body sprays. No tv or snacks in the locker room. There is shaving cream and razors. The co Ed relaxation room has very comfortable lounge chairs and nuts to snack on. The massage was deep and excellent. The table was comfortable and room was very clean and calm.
"Fantastic Stay in L.A."
We spent 5 nights in The-Ritz Carlton, Los Angeles. Overall, the stay was excellent—from start to finish. The hotel is in downtown, adjacent to the Staples center, the convention center, a giant movie theater, and other popular attractions. The JW Marriott and the Residences at The Ritz-Carlton occupy most of the tower, with the actual RC hotel taking up just a few floors (starting around floor 22). Honestly, everything at this property was great. The rooms looked exactly like the hotel's photos, and everything was well maintained and clean. Here are some of the high points relevant to our stay: • We were in our own car, and driving around the area was easy and seemed perfectly safe. The valet staff were quick and friendly. • Check-in/out was efficient and friendly. • The room was exceptionally clean and maintained consistently throughout our stay. (Thanks to Carla for taking such great care of our space!) • The Club Lounge was very nice. It's quite large and well appointed. My only issue is that it has TVs evenly distributed throughout. Guests tend to congregate around them and play loud sports events or news—neither of which lend to a relaxing environment. I say let people go to their rooms to watch TV, but that's just me. • As from the Lounge itself, the staff working the Club were top notch! Tory and Janise were happy to see guests, greeted them by their names, and gladly fulfilled requests. They truly made the Club Lounge a pleasure to visit. The manager of the Club, Mr. Wright, was there with them—cleaning up, talking to guests, and making sure that everything was running smoothly. I would recommend this property without a doubt. I know that some people are unsure of the neighborhood, but it's just a busy, inner-city location. And judging from all the high rises going up in the area, I would guess that the neighborhood will continue to develop.
Definitely visit the club lounge. The staff and food were excellent. The view is wonderful. I can't say enough good things about our visit.. i will always stay here when i visit the Los Angeles area. From the moment we arrived until our last moment leaving everyone from valet, check in, bell service, and particularly the club lounge were genuinely helpful and friendly.
"Wonderful Hotel In an OK Area"
I stayed at The Ritz-Carlton for my last night on a trip to the USA. The hotel is amazing. Check in was a breeze and I was upgraded to a beautiful suite compete with separate office and nice view towards the Hollywood hills (including the Hollywood sign). The bed was very comfortable with plenty of pillows to choose from. The room is modern with a great pod coffee machine to get help get the day started. The bathroom was spacious with beautiful separate shower, bath and toilet. For me the highlight of the stay was the lounge. This place is a wonderful oasis of calm... With coffee and cake! I joke but LA is bloody busy so to have a place where you can relax and enjoy a drink is great. There is food service through out the day of different snacks that were great to keep me going in the afternoon. Breakfast was served in the lounge and was tasty and substantial. The staff in the lounge are amazing. Friendly, helpful and keen to go that extra mile. The upgrade to lounge access is absolutely worth the extra. Wifi was great and free. Speed was moderate. The Spa is fantastic. I had a massage and it was done perfectly. Steam room, change facilities and relaxation area was beautiful and I had the place to myself when I attended. Check out was done easily and I caught an Uber to the airport with no issues at all. Great hotel and stay. Only downside is that the location is not the best. I had to walk though some dodgy areas to get to shopping and food. Probably best to Uber or Cab depending on where you are heading.
