"Cold and Stiff"
The entrance and lobby is very intimidating with many tough looking male guests all dressed up in black leather. Makes you feel as though something can erupt anytime. Their Club Lounge is nice with ample privacy and has a good view of the Kremlin. Had an in room spa where the therapist was very discreet and professional. I woudl recommend this for those who does not dare walk along the long corridors of hotel to the spa. The suite that was assigned to me faces a courtyard with windows directly facing the masterbedroom. Privacy is only possible with a balckout curtain, hence, you will feel as though you are in a cave during the day.
"Classic 5 Star Hotel in the heart of Moscow."
The best is the roof terrace. The rooms are very nice, too. Classic style. A lot of rooms are facing busy streets. Not to noisy, but you hear the sounds of cars etc. If you like classic style, you probably will love this place.
"Great hotel "
I was working in Moscow and this hotel is ideal for business travellers. It is luxurious and full of professional staff. It is a beautiful building and has a nice bar and restaurant. It is very close to red square. Moscow is one of my favourite European cities and this hotel is in the middle of it. Keep up the good work.
"Grand...very Grand. However needs refinement"
The Ritz is a beautiful hotel. Amazing location. The rooms are spectacular. Everything you would expect from the Ritz-Carlton chain. However a few points left a bad taste in my mouth. 1. Had a meeting in the Club Lounge meeting room. It was free for 1 hour as one of the meeting attendees was staying on the club floor. After the 1 hour was over, they asked us to kindly leave the room even though there was nobody using the room after us. I asked the Club Lounge employee if we can finish our meeting in the Club Lounge, all we need is 10 additional minutes. The answer was no. Eventually I explained to her that we were a delegation of 60+ people staying in the hotel and the least she could do is give us an additional 10 minutes. I asked to speak to a supervisor, however, in the end she agreed. This, in my opinion was not acceptable. 2. The breakfast...while having many options...in my 5 or 6 days I was staying there did not change a bit. Exactly the same food every day. However, I repeat...it was a great breakfast with a lot of variety. 3. The house keeping was quite inconsistent. Some days they would come and open the door even though I clearly had the Do Not Disturb light on...other days I had to call the reception 3 times to ask them to come and clean the room. 4. Lastly...a 250 Ruble Charge for room service is unnecessary. Having said that...I would still stay at the Ritz-Carlton again if the choice arose..however, I would consider another of the numerous 5* Hotels in the region first.
An amazing hotel with a unique location. We had a club level room with a view on the red square. Club level is great for relaxing, very private and great service. The rest is top notch Ritz Carlton standard.
