"Worst Ritz Carlton Experience"
This was the worst experience and treatment by any Ritz Carlton I have ever stayed at in the world. Will be filing a formal complaint with Ritz Carlton never experienced this type of treatment from any Ritz Carlton property we have stayed at. The concierge named Barbara was very sarcastic and racist towards us when asking for suggestions on dining and site seeing tours.
I had high hopes for this Ritz Carlton and for being a loyal Marriott Gold Guest. The service was good. The few employees of the cleaning and bar staff I interacted with were great. The hotel itself was just disappointing. The thing about this Ritz that made me mad were two things. The first being when we arrived they had some collegiate networking event holding in the lobby. I understand venues are important and I commend them but after a really stressful flight I should not have had to force my way through a mob of people (whom were not guests of the hotel) to get to the elevator. I would have been nice if the hotel would have done some crowd control or helped me on the way. I almost made me feel like my stay was unimportant. The second thing was the room itself. It was just sort of off. It was in a bad location, on a low floor and overall just kind of grungy. The ironic thing is this was my "upgrade." I feel like there were nicer rooms that could have been offered to me, but at check-in they just didn't seem to care and that was the vibe I got from the staff. Nothing more than two beds and a bathroom. I kind of expected a room with a couch or something to sit on. Marriott was going to upgrade my room before my arrival but guaranteed at check-in due to low capacity I could get a much nicer room from hotel staff. This is hence why it was disappointing. It would have been nice if they could have enhanced my stay and taken some stress off of traveling. Not a huge fan or this hotel and I am hesitant to stay again.
As you can imagine, the service was great at this property, but the okay itself was just okay. Nothing special about the rooms or property. The little extras that make a Ritz Carlton property special seemed to be missing at this location.
"Great location and stay"
Really enjoyed the stay. The location was more favorable than I first thought. The light traffic and great walks with views were very pleasurable. As for the hotel, I found it an excellent experience. The restaurant was nice, but not exceptional, but every other aspect was superb.
"Luxury hotel with exceptional staff!"
I've had the honor of staying at this particular hotel on numerous occasions throughout the years. They are always up to Ritz Carlton standards.....the hospitality is superior to many other luxury brand hotels.
