we stayed in this hotel early January and were delighted to have a room with the view of the Statue of Liberty. The room was spacious and furniture attractive. Great bathroom. We had a fine dinner in the restaurant and great breakfast. my only problem was the room not having a coffee pot. They advised us you could nave a Keurig for $35, I think that is about the cost of the coffee maker so if two people rent it it has more than paid for it but since we were gold members they let us use it complementary . Any hotel over $300 per night should offer free room coffee
"Worse experience ever"
Since my last stay at Ritz-Carlton Battery Park have been a little more than a year, since August 2015, you could find my previous review of my last stay, it was excellent. But this time was a nightmare. I have booked my stay prior a month, in advance. A family of four, two adults and two children, 9 and 15, and have requested Liberty view room with two queen size beds but at the moment of checking in I have been offered a room with only one king size bed, how is that possible to sleep on one bed of four people' As an option, I have been offered to buy a second room for the kids, crazy. As a Ritz-Carlton Silver rewards member (by the way was not regognized as RC Silver member at all) I have used my point to pay for the second room and was given two rooms on the third floor with a roof view, not even a city view, but they said it is a city view. As you remember from the beginning I have booked Statue of Liberyt view room. After an hour of complaining one rooms was changed to 7th floor with a Statue of Liberty view. The kids stayed at the room given before. The housekeeping is terrible, dust, dirt all over the floor. The hotel needs a better management, housekeeping and treat their regular guests over and beyond expectations. As well as the property needs renovation. Even I have paid for one room with my credit card and for the second room with rewards points I havee been charged the full amount for both rooms, the point also reducted from my rewards account. I have sent email to the customer care for an explanation and cancel the transaction but over a week no reply and the funds still blocked on my credit card. Those four nights we have stayed at this property was a big mistake to spend our New Year vacation in New York City. Literary, we ran out and spend a great time in Vermont, but it will be my next review. Highly I do not recommend this hotel, it is not a Ritz-Carlton property and service offered. Will not be coming back. Very said.
"Excellent stay at the Ritz Carlton battery Park"
Excellent stay at the Ritz Carlton battery Park. My family and I were in New York after the holidays to enjoy some time together. The management and staff of the Ritz Carlton Battery Park made this an incredible time for us. The rooms, The restaurant, and the service were exceptional. Thank you for making this the most enjoyable time.
We stayed at the Ritz for a 24 hour stopover in NYC. We were very impressed with the overall hotel and the location. It was certainly a lot quieter than the midtown hotels we have stayed at in the past. The front desk staff was super friendly. We also were impressed by the room service and the breakfast at the restaurant. The only problem we experienced was our bed preference of two double beds not being available at check in. Other than that it was a wonderful quick stay at the Ritz; would definitely return!
The Ritz-Carlton New York, Battery Park has a wonderful location with beautiful views of the Statue of Liberty and the Hudson River. All major lower Manhattan sites, like the 9/11 memorial, are within walking distance.
