"Fine but not very Ritz-like"
This property is adequate for business travel and options are limited in the downtown area. It does not live up to the Ritz reputation for extraordinary service and attention to detail. The staff was lovely, but the property itself is dated and lacks amenities - including the basics of an in room snack/mini-bar option. This would be less of an issue if it were located in an are where options are plentiful, but that is not the case - and the offerings available at the concierge were limited - I have seen far better offerings from your more budget-conscious brand, the Courtyard Marriott.
Club Access is a must. They overall stay was nice. Excellent views of water. Close subway. Rooms could've been a bit more modern. More in-room dining would have helped. All in all, we would stay again.
"Very Accommodating, Beautiful Location"
Second time staying with them in The Battery. Super accommodating with allergies and severe food allergies. Super nice staff. Quick response times. Beautiful location. First rate experience. Very Happy!
"Great Location, Good Hotel"
An excellent location. Hotel is of good quality but in some ways with less overall features then most exceptional Ritz Carltons. Rooms, some with exceptional views of the Statue of Liberty, are more basic and smaller than other Ritz Carltons at which we have stayed. Service was excellent and our visit most enjoyable. Some Ritz Carltons are a "wow", this one is more "comfortable" but not extraordinary.
From the moment we pulled up we were treated with nothing but respect. This is a first class, top notch operation and we will most certainly be back. The concierge handled everything we didn't lift a finger, open a door the entire stay. The staff was friendly and inviting.
