"Great stay, but nothing spectacular"
The lobby was absolutely gorgeous and the entire staff was very courteous. The rooms were pretty average, a bit dated like many of the reviews noted here but it was very comfortable and the bathroom was nice. It wasn't a spectacular experience, although I suppose that is to be expected. Having gone through the Ritz Carlton "Legendary Service" training and this being my first time staying at a Ritz, and considering it was my birthday, I think I had unnecessarily high expectations. But overall this was a great stay.
Overall I enjoyed my stay there. Since I needed to catch the early morning flight I had to leave the hotel 6am. When I got on the taxi at the hotel, the hotel clark kindly passed a little box as breakfast.
We had a lovely stay- staff were all very friendly and attentive. Breakfast buffet was great. Club suite on the 16th F were spacious. Spa facilities, sauna and pool/jacuzzi were all great. We were one of the lasts guests to have checked out on New Year's Day- as i understand it - the hotel will be completely demolished and a brand new one will be built and completed by Aug 2017.

We have been blessed by Korean Hospitality from the time we took KAL until today over a week in Seoul and other parts.We left Seoul for 3 days to experience the awesome ski slopes at Alpensia and Yongpyong and thats when we made a call to Ritz carlton where will be staying. Even before checking in Ms Rebecca Kim has taken good care of us. She arranged for a very last minute tour to DMZ for us and we are happy with the trip and the guide. we are always the free and easy travellers and not the tour group type however we tolerated the various pick-up points of other guests from other hotels from this particular trip. That was inevitable and has nothing to do with Ritz or Ms Rebecca. Upon our return to the hotel, once again Ms Rebecca surprised us with a handwritten card and a box of gift, asking how the tour went. Indeed a Concierge excellent service reflect the standard of a htrip to Seoul otel. Thank you for making our trip to Seoul smooth and memorable. God Bless You Always.With Much Gratitude, Sha Patel.
"If you are in Seoul and want a comfortable place to stay, this is it."
This is where I stay when I go to Seoul. From the check in with James Kim, to Jenny and the entire wonderful staff in the lounge, to Peter at the concierge, there is always a warm welcome and outstanding service. It really is like going home. Undoubtedly, your every need will be cared for, but where it's different is that the staff really cares about your desires. An excellent facility with even better staff.
