Had an excellent stay at the Ritz-Carlton. The room was beautiful and the hotel was right on the beach. All of the staff were very accommodating and friendly. I would not recommend eating here though.Comment of M. Violeta , United States the 2016-03-04

If you are in a wheelchair stay away from this hotel unless you have 24x7 aides to push you up and down the ramps and over the hallway carpet and room carpet. Make sure you bring a rubber mat if you are lucky enough to get a roll in shower. It took 4 hours the second day for the hotel to go out and buy a mat at a store The feather bed was very difficult for me to get in and out of the bed. I had them remove it.
"Great location, high standards"
If you want to stay in the thick of it, this Ritz Carlton is a perfect choice. Located right at the foot of Lincoln Road, this hotel is as central as it gets. The service if first rate. It is on the beach. The rooms are spacious. In comparison to the other Ritz Carltons in Miami, this is more compact with higher density. The Key Biscayne Ritz is a resort hotel and the Coconut Grove Ritz more of a boutique hotel.
"Not up to Ritz Carlton Standards"
The hotel has a tired worn out feeling. The carpets are grungy and dirty. There is a musty smell to the place and the room had it too. I tried to move but the hotel I wanted to go to was sold out so I was stuck at the joint. I have stayed at the Ritz in Hong Kong, Barcelona, Los Angeles, Toronto and Cleveland. This was my worst experience at a Ritz Carlton. When I told the front desk manager I was unhappy he said he was sorry but made no attempt to make me happy. The Miami Edition up the road is ten times better. The staff their are super friendly and attentive. On the good side the location is fantastic. You are close to everything. The ocean front balcony was lovely. The pool area was good. The bed was absolutely fabulous with soft down feathers. It was like heaven on earth. Mahi Mahi wrap was sub par and the fries the same. Pina Colada was awful. The tuna tartar was very good. The bartender on the mezzanine bar was good.
"Such an incredible & unique place to stay"
Second time here and will be back in the future ! Special thanks this time to Ms. Lourdes by the pool who took great care of my family and the other guests; I enjoyed seeing her throughout the visit. The hotel is a unique building but the staff takes great care and I felt very safe and enjoyed my stay, we especially enjoyed the outdoor pool and lounge chairs on the beach :)
"Worth Every Penny"
You will be so happy with your choice . Centrally located with the best beach in town. The staff is excellent. You cant really ask for more. Make this your first and last stop on South Beach. Rooms are big and comfy. The restaurants are on the high end but worth it.
