We stayed here for my husband's 30th birthday. Upon arrival and after we checked in the concierge took our bags and advised they would be up at the room waiting. We got to the room to champagne on ice and a wonderful view of the Thames. We stayed in the Tower Suite and it was superb. The bed was really comfy and everything was clean and stocked up. The reception staff were lovely and breakfast was nice too. Would definitely stay here again.
"Look no further"
Want a great hotel' This is it. From the moment you walk through the door to when you leave you are treated as is if you are special. Friendly, polite, helpful, professional staff - a smile on every face. The room was a good size, comfortable beds, lighting controls from various places although I found it a little dim, huge bath towels and a tv in the shower!! This is what every hotel should be. Not only is this an excellent place to stay but it's location is superb. Stand at the front door and most everything is at your fingertips. Turn left for the Houses of Parliament, Westminster Abbey - right takes you up to Trafalgar Square and the theatre district - behind is the Embankment and there are 3 tube stations all reached within minutes to take you anywhere. Would I stay again' Absolutely. Would I recommend this hotel' Definitely
"Loved the Royal Horseguards Hotel"
Thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Royal Horseguards. Our room had a view of the river and London Eye. I requested a room with a view several months ago after I made the reservation. The room was well appointed, and comfortable. I liked that the 'mood lights' automatically came on when the room key was inserted in the slot near the door (the lighting was easy to control from multiple points). Lighting makes a difference! We were treated like royalty by the friendly and helpful staff throughout our trip. The hotel is conveniently located near the Embankment tube stop, Charing Cross station, Santander bike rentals, and most of the major sites in the city of Westminster. Easy to walk to several areas, including Big Ben, Westminster Abbey, the Strand, Trafalgar Square, and Convent Gardens. The central location of the hotel made it a great home base in the middle of the action. I'd definitely stay again!
"Good hotel but cool"
We entered the hotel a little before midnight and were told the bar closed at 12.00 sharp, which was the case. The rooms were in order but rather small. I got a nice view on the park and the Thames. The breakfast was in order but rather unpersonal. The hall where we got seminars was top. The bellman Konradt arranged us a musical which was fantastic (sunny afternoon) Check out went smoothly.
"Amazing you've got to stay here."
I stayed here with my family for three nights so we could see the sights of London and stayed in the Tower suite. The suite was amazing with views from every window and was spread over two floors. It was the best place I had ever stayed at. This room would not be good for older people though that have trouble with stairs, as they are very steep getting from the lounge to your bedroom. The service at breakfast was good with items quickly being replaced at the buffet, and all the staff were friendly and professional. I would recommend this hotel to everyone.
