The Royal Phuket Yacht Club is located on Nai Harn Beach at the southern tip of Phuket island, with pristine white sandy beach and turquoise waters. The hotel has private access directly to the beach, the area is most famous for it's sunsets and serenity.Only a short drive away from Chalong Bay, the Giant Budha and 20 minutes from larger towns such as Patong and Kata Beach, Nai Harn bay offers the option of being private and only short distance from most of Phuket's attractions.

"Most amazing hotel i have visited in the last 5 years"
This was the first season they opened the new refurbished hotel. The food, service and overall experience was better than we have experienced anywhere. We are used to 5 star hotels in the US so the South East Asia service levels will always be a notch above that. What surprised us is the new decor which is very modern and the food which is amazing. I can't say enough about the cleanliness. From the glasses in the room to the restaurant on the beach. We met all the chefs. In addition to the locals they have 3 foreign chefs who create amazing delicacies.
"what a lovely place"
we spent 3 weeks in thailand and before nai harn we have been to another hotel, which was more expensive than the nai harn but didn't make us happy at all. thank god, our last hotel on this trip was the nai harn. the hotel is quiet and very clean, the view is stunning, the rooms are great, the breakfast is a dream, and the service is exceptional good. also the reception is aways extremly friendly and helpfull. to make it short: everything which is good somewhere else, here it's a little bit better ;) there are so many small details which are taken care of, the management must be really good. i am quite a sophisticated customer but at nai harn even if i wanted ... i could not find a single thing to complain. thank you all there for a really great time. we loved this place and will come back.
"Far away from luxury"
The hotel description is mischievous. Public beach nearby instead of a direct private beach At thenaiharn.com they promise a direct access to the beach. At booking.com they promise the same or a private beach. In reality once you get of the lift you still have: (i) 45 stairs to climb down and then back, and (ii) 50 meters of a street. Forget about a private beach, forget about security, forget about a direct access, forget about beach beds. No adult pool There is only one tiny swimming pool, half of it 60 cm deep, the other half 1,2m deep, beware of protruding metal rods (right side of a pool), a step in the pool. Mobility – Contrary to what they promised when we called them prior to booking - not suitable for any type of mobility impairment: toddlers, injuries, age, disabled. Inevitable stairs. There are 15 stairs between the restaurant and the lift plus 30 to the street. So, you need to do 15 stairs for breakfast, 18 to the swimming pool and 45 to the beach – one way, of course. Breakfast – generally poor, lack of healthy food, choice of sweet pastry, limited choice of local food, . Sports – Fitness room capacity for three-four people max subject to risk of suffocating. Yoga only twice a week, we (my wife) were offered a session at a parking place. They claim they have a water sports centre- what they offered is a free paddleboard. Menu – exorbitant prices, poor quality. They have 77 items on the menu (desserts excluded), which is an unusual number for a good establishment. You pay ca USD 20 for a portion of Thai noodles (Pad Thai). People coming there for 10 year plus usually dine at Yasmine beach bar, as we were said (Yasmine is a nice place, indeed). Finances – no return, no cancellation (policy allegedly introduced two years ago when some Spanish people took over the establishment). No we know why. We shortened our stay by one week, interestingly they have neither issued us an invoice for the shortened period nor returned monies. In our country that would be a fraud (fiscal or “regular”). Complaints – they refused to confirm receipt of our complaint. Pluses: Nice, spacious room with a nice bathroom, terrace, sunbed and nice view. Summary: If you are fully mobile, fit and sporty, they have nothing to offer to you except for the room (and the weather which you can get also from other places nearby). If you have mobility issues, you are in trouble there. For better value go to Bali or for a cruise or to Bangkok (as we were said, but with a toddler Bangkok was not an option for us).
"Great resort but with too much focus on marketing"
We stayed for 4 nights for a family vacation during the Christmas and New Year break. We enjoyed the beautiful view and facilities of the hotel. The pool area is quite small but it never bothered us. The breakfast buffet is top-notch. Overall great facilities in line with a 5 star resort. Why only 4 stars: the reservation process was not smooth. You are asked to complete a guest preference form prior to your stay, but it was poorly received: arrival flight information was wrongly noted and the hotel did not do anything useful with the information received. Instead, the front desk tried to force extra charges for my kids breakfast, although I had paid upfront for the entire stay for my kids as well. Not appreciated. I also feel the marketing machine to be overheated at this hotel: cocktails created by a celebrity barman, wine list inspired by a celeb wine critic, I perceived it as little authentic and not genuine. Instead, when you have an expensive wine list, having a sommelier would be much more useful to advise your guests. Excellent wifi throughout the hotel. When moving to another hotel we found out this is not obvious in Thailand. The New Years party was great, including extravagant food choices like caviar, oysters and Foie Gras from France,... . When you pay 900* Eur for the new years package (on top of the room rate) I would have expected unlimited drinks...not the case. I suggest the management to reconsider this for next year.
"Awesome place to spend xmas hols"
We googled places to stay in Phuket and found this place. 5 days in and we are having a fabulous time and so happy we booked at The Nai Harn. Most importantly the staff are divine. Very happy and wanting to please. They are always greeting you and want you to have a great time. The highlight is the enormous day bed on your own private terrace. Awesome views over the water and beach. Away from the crowds on the beach and very private. Its like having your own villa but in a hotel. We were invited to cocktails w the General Manager and team and we met other guests and learnt about the history of the reno and the hotel. Roong the resort manager is totally delightful and a warm and caring person - very interested in our feedback. Only opened recently and wanting to be the best hotel around. The head chef is a great guy too and excited about his new position here. Definitely the highlight hotel in nai harn. Right on the beach w awesome views- amazing breakfast w the cold room for the charcuterie type produce a total winner and the tweak on the standard hotel breakfasts make it an overall relaxing and smart and stylish choice for a hotel. Alot of russian, italian and swiss guests. We seem to be the only Aussies which is unusual for us to find. We hired scooters to burn around and visit other areas of Phuket and we highly recommend this however you would need to be pretty competent on a bike - the roads are very bendy but good quality. We have another week here and we would be perfectly happy to just relax here on the day bed, swim in the pool and use the gym.
